Sharon Osbourne was paid almost £7,000 for every minute she appeared on screen during her time in the Celebrity Big Brother house, it has been revealed.

The former X Factor star, 71, made waves when it was revealed she had joined the ITV reality show’s star-studded line-up, with a fee to match.

During the first nine episodes of the series, which totaled almost eight hours, Sharon appeared on screen for a total of two hours and thirteen minutes.

This works out to £6,767 per minute, including Sharon’s entrance, exit and interview on the spin-off Late and Live.

Although there were many rumors that Sharon would only live in the Celebrity Big Brother house for five days, she ended up staying for nine days.

No doubt bosses will believe they got their money’s worth after Sharon was at the center of many house twists and made global headlines with her cheeky take on other stars.

Viewers saw Sharon’s emotional goodbye to the house live in Tuesday’s episode and again in Wednesday’s highlights show.

While fans admitted they will miss her breathtaking stories, the housemates hailed her as an ‘OG Kris Jenner’ and ‘royalty’.

As the group toasted Sharon at a dinner party, Sharon became visibly emotional as she listened to their sweet messages.

As the housemates walked into a fun soiree, Sharon said: “My favorites! Scones, jam, cream! This is so beautiful,” while Levi told Sharon, “You are royal.”

Sharon added: ‘Had a great time, met new friends and I’ll be keeping an eye on you all… and may all your dreams come true.’

As tears began to flow during the heartfelt speeches, Louis told Sharon, “Stop crying because you’re going to make me cry!”

She previously revealed she could only stay on the ITV series for a short period because she had to return to husband Ozzy Osbourne, 75, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019.

She said, “I don’t want to be away from Ozzy for too long. We are incredibly close as a family.

‘I can’t remember a time when I haven’t spoken to any of them for a week. Through all our fights and feuds we have maintained communication, and this separation will undoubtedly be the longest.”

The ‘original reality star’ has spoken out since starring on the programme, making scathing comments towards the likes of singer Adele and former talk show host James Corden.
