Shawn Mendes sparks romance rumors with Big Brother UK’s Charlie Travers as they frolic on the beach in their underwear

Shawn Mendes has sparked rumors he is dating Big Brother UK star Charlie Travers after the pair were spotted together on the beach in Malibu.

The Canadian hitmaker, 25, looked very cozy with the reality TV star as they stripped down to their underwear to sunbathe.

Shawn and Charlie were spotted walking around Point Dume and El Matador Beach in Malibu, California on Thursday.

Charlie showed off her figure in a skimpy black thong as she and Shawn walked around on the sand.

It comes just days after the pair were spotted dining together at a West Hollywood restaurant, with one photo showing Charlie with a tender arm around singer Shawn.

Shawn was pictured sitting next to a brunette woman in a crop top with one arm stretched over his shoulders as they sat at a table at the EP & LP Rooftop & Restaurant.

A representative for Shawn declined to comment when contacted by MailOnline. A representative for Charlie Travers has been contacted for comment.

Charlie first rose to prominence when she appeared on the British edition of Big Brother in 2013, entering the house with her mother Jackie.

She stayed in the house for the entire 68 days, finishing in fifth place after earning just six nominations.

It was during her time in the house that she formed a romance with fellow housemate Dexter Koh, making their relationship public in August 2013 after they were pictured kissing on a night out.

In the Diary Room, Dexter called Charlie his “soulmate,” but their relationship ended shortly after the show ended.

Charlie has since moved to the US, where she appeared in the E! series Hollywood Medium with Tyler Henry as his assistant.

She also fronted the Grammy web series On Location and the Permission Slip Podcast.

The romantic trip to the beach comes five months after Shawn ended his second attempt at a relationship with fellow singer Camila Cabello earlier this year.

Shawn was also rumored to be dating his longtime chiropractor Dr. Jocelyne Miranda, 51, following his split from his Señorita duet partner, although the two kept their public displays chaste and never confirmed any romance.

The two confirmed they were back at it after kissing and showing off plenty of PDA at the Coachella Music Festival in April this year.

A source then revealed to DailyMail.com that Shawn and Camila had been dating again for weeks prior to the outing.

Although they kept up their beloved displays throughout the month of May, the brief second taping would have quickly come to an end in June.

A source later claimed as much E! News that it was Shawn who “initiated” the breakup, while Camila was “very angry about the breakup,” although she ultimately “agreed” that it was for the best.

An insider who spoke People attributed the end of the relationship to their new busy schedules after coronavirus lockdowns ended and they started performing and touring again.

‘They had an intense relationship last year and spent months together during the lockdown in Miami. They both seemed very happy and looked like they were enjoying a break from work,” the source claimed.

Following his divorce, Shawn was rumored to be dating singer and actress Sabrina Carpenter, but he denied they were together in a TV interview in March.
