I've been sweeping the shelves of bargain coffee at ASDA, I'm sick of Karens calling me greedy

A mum who packed 28 jars of Necafe at her local supermarket has hit back at trolls who accused her of being selfish.

The mother shared a photo of her huge coffee haul via the Facebook group Extreme Couponing & Bargains UK.

A mum has been branded greedy for bagging 28 pots of coffee from her local ASDACredit: Facebook/Extreme Couponing

In her caption, she revealed she paid just £2.25 for a 300g jar at ASDA, which normally retails for around £8.

But while the mum was happy with her bargain, which saw her 28 pots fetch £63 instead of £224, group members were quick to criticize her 'greedy' behaviour.

Commenting on the post, someone wrote: “Greedy, why do you need all that?”

“How can you get full horsepower when there are 3 per customer?” asked another.

A third said: “Well that 3 per customer rule was really useful in your asda wasn't it… NOT.”

Another simply wrote: 'Greed.'

Seeing the response, the mother updated her post to defend her actions.

She wrote: “NOT ALL BOUGHT BY MYSELF, NOR OR SAME DAY OR SAME STORE AS SOME PEOPLE SEEMS TO THINK.”

The mother's comment was met with an outpouring of support from fellow bargain hunters who told her to ignore her critics.

One wrote: “If it's something you're going to use, take advantage of it while you can, everyone has to save money somewhere.”

Another agreed, adding: “All the people complaining about her ordering a lot of coffee…YOU SNOOZE, YOU LOSE!”

“Just ignore the Karens!” said a third.

But one commenter was quick to share his own theory.

She wrote: “Not here to complain about how many you bought, but I was just wondering… if you, your husband and your family each bought 3 in separate transactions on different days, how would they fit in? have managed to get through the checkout in complete packages?”
