What happened to the Bodyshop?

On February 13, the Body Shop fell into administration.

The retailer’s owners, Aurelius, have appointed administrators at FRP Advisory, casting doubt on its future.

Administrators said the brand’s current portfolio is “no longer viable” after “years of unprofitability”.

Nearly 100 locations in total are expected to close and around 270 head office jobs will be eliminated.

The chain’s remaining stores will continue to do business through stores and online during the administration process.
