Shocking moment shopper trashes phone store and racially abuses worker ‘after they refused to give her a refund’

This is the shocking moment a customer vandalizes a west London phone shop and racially abuses an employee for ‘refusing’ to give her money back.

The woman pulled dozens of phone cases off the shelves and threw them on the floor during the rampage at ElectTronex in Market Square in Uxbridge on Saturday.

Shocked onlookers watched as she repeatedly swore at the store worker and made racist comments.

Separate footage shows the woman – who was wearing a black waistcoat, cream hoodie and a pair of black Mary Jane shoes – being handcuffed by three police officers inside the store.

Police told MailOnline that a 19-year-old woman was initially detained when officers arrived on the scene, but was not arrested after the victim said he did not want to press charges.

However, the force said it will speak to staff at the store again after seeing video footage of the racist comments and threats since then.

She is heard telling the employee that she is trashing the store because they “refused to refund her” for a phone she bought three months ago.

The phone was reportedly new when she bought it, but she now “needed money to buy something” so wanted to return it.

The worker says to the woman, “You’re making an idiot of yourself.”

But she replies: ‘I don’t care – you should have just given me my f***ing money then, p****’

The woman then threatens to spit in the worker’s face while asking him where her bag is.

She also said she would “come back to the cell phone store any day.”

Members of the public and security guards blocked the woman from entering the store when the Metropolitan Police were called.

The video has been shared on TikTok and Instagram, with social media users reacting to the clip in horror.

One person commented: ‘I’m speechless.’

Another said: ‘She should pick everything up and put it back the way it was.’

Others asked, “How did it go?” [the store worker] stay so calm?’

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: ‘Police were called to a shop in the Pavilions Shopping Center in Uxbridge at 1.09am on Saturday 8 June.

‘Officers attended the store and arrested a 19-year-old woman who allegedly threw items into the store and assaulted staff.

‘The victim stated to the officers present that he did not want to make a statement and did not want to express any criminal offenses. The woman was not arrested.

‘Officers are now aware of a video subsequently published online which contains racist comments and threats. This will be assessed and officers will speak to the store’s staff again.”
