In the recent development in Elvish Yadav’s snake venom case, Two animal rights activists, who have filed complaints against Yadav, have approached the Punjab and Haryana High Court seeking police protection. They allege that Yadav threatened their lives, prompting them to seek security measures.

In their plea, brothers Saurabh and Gaurav Gupta stated that they received threatening phone calls and were pressured to withdraw their complaint. The Guptas, who live in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, also mentioned in their plea that they are members of Union Minister Maneka Gandhi’s organization People for Animals (PFA).

“We have recorded Yadav’s video and an FIR has been lodged against him for using snake venom as a drug at rave parties,” they stated, referring to the case from November last year.

The bench of Justice Jasjit Singh Bedi has taken up the matter and taken the matter seriously. He has sent a notice to the Haryana government and scheduled the next hearing on April 18.

Yadav, who recently got into yet another dispute with fellow YouTuber Sagar Thakur, also known as ‘Maxtern’, was faced with a new problem. He was arrested on March 17 in the snake venom case. He has been charged under the Wildlife Protection Act (NDPC Act) and Sections 284 and 289 of the Indian Penal Code.

The rave party took place in Sector 51 of Noida. Police found nine snakes, including five cobras, a python, two sand snakes and a rat snake. These snakes are protected under Schedule 1 of the Wildlife Protection Act. In addition, they discovered a small 20 ml tube containing suspected snake venom. Six people, including Elvish Yadav, were arrested in connection with this incident.
