“We are the underdogs who want to prove what we can do,” DYC director Armond White explains in the preview.

“Regardless, I want to take these kids to the next big stage.”

Elsewhere in the trailer, members of the choir show off their best dance moves.

The preview also teases that the series will focus on 50 new recruits, who should be ready to take part in the DYC's next big show at New York's prestigious Carnegie Hall.

It was White who led the DYC to its famous performance on America's Got Talent in 2019, when the choir danced and rapped their way through an energetic version of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' 2013 hit, Can't Hold Us.

The DYC finished their season on America's Got Talent in second place.

“Some of them have bad home situations or may be on the streets,” White said after DYC won the audition for America's Got Talent.

'There is violence. We're giving them something positive to be a part of.”

“Choir” is directed by award-winning filmmaker Rudy Valdez and produced by Imagine Documentaries and Blumhouse Television.
