Tragedy as grieving porn star Sophie Anderson dies aged 36 – just two weeks after the shocking death of ex-Crystal Palace footballer boyfriend Oliver Spedding

Porn star Sophie Anderson has died aged 36, just two weeks after the death of her ex-Crystal Palace footballer boyfriend Oliver Spedding, it was tragically revealed today.

The mother-of-four, who has worked as an adult actress since 2017, met former Crystal Palace player Spedding while working on the set of a porn film.

The heartbroken actress’ death was announced by her friend and fellow adult film star Rebecca More.

It came after the recent death of her boyfriend Spedding at the age of 34. His cause of death has not yet been confirmed.

Anderson was a prolific adult actress who claimed to have slept with tens of thousands of men and had previously flown to the US to have 32JJ silicone breast implants fitted. Friends said Anderson died earlier this week.

Anderson became a big name after a video featuring fellow actress Rebecca More – who dubbed themselves the ‘C**k Destroyers’ – became hugely popular in 2018. Other videos featuring Anderson included ‘Fake Taxi’ and ‘House of Taboo’. .

More, whose real name is Rebecca Jones and who is also a mother of four, wrote on Instagram last night: ‘I am devastated to hear the terrible news of Sophie’s death. We had great times together and that is how I will remember her.

‘The bubbly, funny, kind-hearted soul who was outrageous on the outside, but also so gentle behind closed doors. We were very close and we shared a crazy time together that was completely unique to us.

‘That’s how I’ll remember her. This is so tragic, but I know you are at peace now. I will always love you and hold a special place in my heart.”

Anderson’s last Instagram post, posted three weeks ago, was a selfie with the caption, “You come home to the wife after a hard day at work.”

Meanwhile, Spedding’s was a Halloween-themed video featuring Anderson.

Just weeks earlier, photos showed him enjoying a holiday in Ibiza, before he posted a photo of himself injured as he revealed he had a broken eye, a broken knee and had almost lost three of his fingers.

He also had cuts on his face and told fans the injuries were caused by an “accident.”

After his death, a minute’s silence was held before a match for Croydon, a team Spedding also played for.

The Terrence Higgins Trust, a sexual health and HIV charity that supported Sophie, wrote on Tuesday: ‘We are so sad to hear about the death of Sophie Anderson. Sophie and Rebecca have done so much to support our work, taking on challenges to raise money and tackling HIV stigma.”

BBC Drag Race UK’s Divina De Campo also shared: ‘So incredibly sad to hear of the passing of dear Sophie Anderson.

“She was outrageous, but also incredibly sweet and a constant advocate for people in the LGBTQ+ community and her industry. A truly sweet soul. Rest in peace sweetie.’

‘We agreed to meet as soon as I moved south and I am devastated that this will not happen.

‘I adored Sophie, she was one of my biggest inspirations, she was truly one in a million. Rest in Power Queen.”

A second added on X: ‘RIP Sophie Anderson. The last few months of her life have clearly been so difficult.

‘I called her by chance less than a month ago and to my surprise she answered and was so grateful.

‘Her and Rebecca brought porn to the mainstream – and that got a lot of laughs. Night Night, Sof.’

In March last year, the actress from Slough, Berkshire, battled for life with sepsis after one of her left breast implants became infected and later exploded.

It follows the death of ex-footballer turned porn actor Spedding, who also played for Croydon FC and was hailed as a ‘warrior on the pitch’ by team manager Liam Giles.

The cause of death of Spedding – who went by the name Damian Oliver in the porn industry – has not yet been confirmed.

In an appearance on the UK podcast Anything Goes with James last year, Spedding revealed he regretted turning to porn after a stint in prison.

He said he starred in X-rated films for just £150 a film, adding that he would have ‘earned a lot more playing football’ if he had stayed at Palace.

Spedding said: “I fought too, maybe that could have gone somewhere. I was good at both things, but as a porn star I thought that would be just as good, but it’s not as good as people think.”

In August 2022, MailOnline reported on a video of Anderson squeezing pus from a hole in her breast after her implant procedure went wrong.

She said an infection caused the implant in her left breast to burst, forcing her to undergo reconstructive surgery. This procedure left her with a deformed and swollen nippleless breast.

Desperate to get her breast repaired, Anderson had begged her fans for help by setting up a GoFundMe page for reconstructive surgery, which raised almost £11,500, with some of her closest fans donating as much as £500.

Ultimately, she decided to go to Belgium for a correction procedure, raising a total of more than £15,000.

But she was deeply unhappy with the results and described her deformed breast as ‘Bigfoot’s foot’ in a separate video, in which she also revealed she was in hospital battling sepsis.

Speaking about the ordeal, she described Spedding as her ‘rock’ and praised him for helping her through her ‘darkest days’.
