Southern Charm’s Austen Kroll: Taylor Ann Green ‘made a move on me’
Austen Krol shared more details about him and Taylor-Ann Green‘s controversial kiss in the latest episode of Southern charm – And Craig Conover has questions.
“We didn’t sleep together,” Austen, 36, told boyfriend Craig, 34 Whitney Sudler-Smith in the episode of Thursday, November 16. “And that’s it.”
When asked how the kiss came about, Austen said, “It takes two to tango,” and claimed, “She made a bit of a move on me, if I’m honest.”
Austen claimed he and Taylor, 29, were “jamming to music” and dancing around when Taylor turned around and went in for the hug. After acting out the “move” for the boys, Austen admitted that he “grabbed her” and they kissed.

“I didn’t feel bad about it,” Austen admitted of his thoughts at the time. “I had a brief f–king moment with someone I’m close to.” (Austen admitted Shep Rose during an October episode of Southern charm that he and Taylor kissed after Shep, 43, and Taylor called it quits in the summer of 2022.)
The founder of Kings Calling Brewing Co. continued, “I’ll never forget that when she called me the next day, I was like, ‘Taylor, thank God, we didn’t sleep together.'”
A confused Craig then asked, “What do you mean, she left your room after you kissed?” to which Austen replied, ‘It wasn’t in my room. … It was in my kitchen.”

Craig, who was under the impression the makeout took place in New York City after the cast’s Season 8 reunion in fall 2022, was surprised by Austen’s claims. “No, you said New York,” Craig said, but Austen stuck to his guns.
‘No, this was about three weeks later. I didn’t say it happened in New York,” Austen claimed. “We did it once. Get started with it!”
However, Craig was not convinced and questioned the truth of his best friend’s story during a confessional interview.

“I thought Taylor said it was in New York,” Craig told the cameras, referencing Taylor’s previous comments that she and Austen talked about being boyfriend and girlfriend “after New York.” “But anyway, the sleepovers [between them] happened recently.”
Craig continued, “That would mean they kissed in New York and then had the sleepovers [in early 2023]. So you’re telling me that if you’ve already kissed a girl and had a private sleepover, you’re not going to make out again?’
Austen, meanwhile, revealed in his confessional that he has no regrets about the alleged one kiss – except for the way people found out.
“I don’t necessarily mean that the kiss didn’t mean anything, but Taylor and I didn’t end up dating,” he claimed. “We talked and decided we were better off as friends. I thought we could just bury it and keep it a secret from everyone. I regret that.”
