After returning to Australia to support Mark, she shared a video of herself in hospital with her father, praising him for always having a “positive spirit”.

In the clip, Dianne and her dad Mark walked into the hospital arm in arm, before he gave her the thumbs up as he waited for his treatment.

Dianne then smiled as she extended her hand to her father, before the video ended with the pair leaving the hospital hand in hand.

She gushed in a caption: “Round 3 proud of your dad, always with a positive spirit and a smile on your face.”

Her Strictly co-stars and famous friends were quick to send their messages of support to the dancer in the comments section.

Dianne returned to Australia just days after taking part in the Strictly final last Saturday, where she competed against EastEnders star Bobby Brazier.

After the pair missed the glitter ball, Dianne revealed on social media that she had flown back to Australia and reunited with her father Mark.

She shared a photo of them together and wrote, “and from the concert to our first morning coffee ❤️ I’m home @mark.3802.”

Dianne broke down in tears on Strictly in October after her father Mark was diagnosed with cancer.

In a recent interview, Dianne spoke about the difficulty of being away from her family in Australia while her father undergoes chemotherapy.

Dianne told Heat Magazine: ‘I am such a hard-working, crazy dancer that it has been a very nice balance, with Bobby bringing a lot of peace to my life.

‘Quite a bit has happened in my personal life over the last few months, and Bobby has been very realistic and supportive and has told me that everything will be fine.

“It’s crazy that such a young guy can think so highly of him.”

On Sunday, Dianne shared a sparkling Instagram tribute to Bobby after they missed out on the Glitterball trophy for winner Ellie Leach.

In 2018, she was a finalist in the sixteenth series with her partner and now boyfriend, YouTuber Joe Sugg, but they did not win.

But as she reflected on the 2023 series, she said she was less “obsessed” with winning the trophy and chose to focus instead on the friendship she found with Bobby.

She said: ‘I was so obsessed with winning a sparkly trophy, constantly thinking about that moment and what it would feel like!

“But what I’ve realized dancing with this amazing human being is victory and the sparkle is everywhere if you want it.

‘Last night Bobby and I danced with so much joy, passion and emotion that my heart burst with happiness and pride and there was our victory!

“Bobby’s only competition on this show was that he wanted to become a better dancer and a better professional himself, and helping him achieve both of those goals makes me a proud teacher.

She concluded by adding, “I am so grateful that I was lucky enough to work with Bobs and I am so excited about his bright future ahead of him. He is not only a real talent, but also a very sweet soul.

“Thank you for making me enjoy dancing like I was a little girl again, no fear, no fear, just love and passion for what I can do.”
