Suri Cruise enjoyed the warm weather in New York City this week as she went for a jog in the sunshine of Central Park.

Photographers caught 18-year-old Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise’s daughter during a morning workout early on Tuesday – before later enjoying dinner with her actress mother.

The teen showed off her abs as she went for a solo run, donning a white tank top, which she rolled up, tight black workout shorts and sneakers.

She pulled her long brown locks into a ponytail and held her phone in her hand as she ran. She also wore large headphones over her ears.

Later in the day, Suri donned a chic white summer dress as she headed out to dinner in Soho with her mother and grandmother, Kathleen A. Stothers-Holmes.

She paired the look with brown boots and a blue tote bag slung over her shoulder.

For their dinner date, actress Katie, 45, opted for a figure-hugging brown midi dress; she tied a sweater around her waist and completed the look with black platform sandals and socks.

Despite coming from two of the biggest stars in the world, Suri doesn’t seem to want that walks the path that so many Hollywood fake babies have trod by forging her own career on the big or small screen.

Instead, she is determined to remain “private,” an insider exclusively told DailyMail.com in April.

She will graduate from high school this month, but it is unclear what she will study in college or where she will go.

In March, a separate source said she was “leaning toward” a career in fashion, and was focusing her interview process on the New York City area to stay close to her mother.

Suri previously dabbled in singing, recording a beautiful cover of the ballad Blue Moon for her mother Katie’s 2022 romcom Alone Together.

She said, “I always want the highest level of talent. So I asked her! She is very, very talented. She said she would do it and she recorded it, and I let her do her thing.”

While Suri may not have all her plans crystallized yet, one thing about her future is clear: her Scientologist father Tom, 61, will have no part in it.

“Suri will not have any contact with her father despite being 18, and even if he called she wouldn’t answer,” a source previously told DailyMail.com.

“He doesn’t exist for Katie or Suri, and his daughter won’t rely on him for anything. She feels like she has one parent and that’s her mother.’

Suri celebrated her 18th birthday in April, meaning the Top Gun star will no longer have to pay child support to Katie, an amount that reportedly amounted to a hefty $400,000 per year.

At the time of his and Katie’s divorce, sources close to Katie had reported that she and her ex were keen to co-parent Suri, but in recent years Tom has not been seen in public with his daughter.

Because Tom remains a powerful figure in the Church of Scientology, former followers of the faith have suggested that this prevents Tom from seeing Suri.

In 2019, Samantha Domingo, who stopped following Scientology in 2004, claimed that Tom “shouldn’t have a relationship” with his daughter because she is not a Scientologist.

The author, who has written a book about her time in church, told the story American weekly that, due to the Church’s belief in reincarnation, they will not see Suri as Tom’s daughter. Instead, she claimed that they saw Suri as “a spiritual being in his daughter’s body.”

However, a spokesperson for the Church of Scientology dismissed the claims as “fiction.”
