Sydney Sweeney has plenty to celebrate Everyone but youthe romantic comedy in which she stars and produced surpassed $100 million at the worldwide box office.

“You guys are the best,” 26-year-old Sweeney wrote on Sunday, January 22 via Instagram Story. “I know I keep saying this, but I honestly can't thank you enough for continuing to share your love for this movie.”

“For me, anyway, I've always been a fan of movies in general and I always find it weird when certain actors trivialize certain genres,” Powell shared. Variety on Sunday, January 21. “In the best performance it gives an audience so much joy and pleasure, and as an actor you get to play a lot of gears. To mock a genre and look down on it is quite foolish.”

He added: “For me Everyone but you It was a joy to see the audience dancing out of the theater and feeling so happy after seeing a movie. With $64 million at the domestic box office and $100 million worldwide, Everyone but you has more than recouped its $25 million budget. It is the most successful R-rated rom-com since 2016 Bridget Jones' baby.

Everyone but you didn't initially break box office records when it hit theaters on December 22, but has shown a steady rise for three consecutive weekends, an unusual trend that usually indicates a word-of-mouth hit. It also helps that Sweeney and Powell's press tour went viral.
