Jeremy Allen White was hard at work in Chicago on Monday filming the third season of his critically acclaimed series The Bear.

The actor, 33, joined co-stars Ebon Moss-Bachrach, 47, and Matty Matheson, 42, for a rainy day filming the Emmy-winning Hulu series.

The Brooklyn native, who plays chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, sported a casual cool look, wearing a black beanie, a dark green trench coat and gray sweatpants.

The handsome Calvin Klein model – who is currently in love with Spanish singer Rosalía, 31 – completed his look with a pair of black boots.

At one point, the father-of-two was pictured enjoying a smoke break on set.

Ebon wore a black button-up shirt, matching pants and a belt.

Meanwhile, Matty wore a purple hoodie, a denim vest and blue jeans.

His hair was partially covered by a multi-colored cap, over which he wore headphones.

The actor stayed hydrated as he drank from a bottle of water.

The co-stars were surrounded by members of the show’s crew and several background actors.

Filming for the highly anticipated third season of The Bear kicked off earlier this month in Chicago, after the Hulu series won six Primetime Emmy Awards in January.

It has also been reported that the fan-favorite show has already been picked up for a fourth season, which will be shot back-to-back in Chicago, according to Deadline.

A season 4 renewal has not yet been officially announced.

Last week, Jeremy and his co-star Abby Elliott were spotted filming a tense one-on-one scene in Terminal 2 at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.

White had a cigarette in his mouth when Elliott, who plays Carmen’s sister Natalie, tried to give him a pack of $100 bills.

On another occasion, he was also seen on set with Ebon and their co-star Ayo Edebiri outside a church for what appeared to be a funeral.

The characters were most likely present at the funeral of Marcus Brooks’ (Lionel Boyce) mother, who died during the season two finale.

White and Edebiri, who play chef Sydney Adamu, dominated the acting categories at the Emmys, Golden Globes and SAG Awards.

Last month, it was announced that the upcoming third season of The Bear will premiere in June.

According to Deadline, the date was revealed by FX Chairman John Landgraf during a presentation at the Television Critics Association press tour in winter 2023.

The third season will also be released all at once for fans to binge watch.

The show centers on an award-winning chef who inherits his older brother’s sandwich shop in Chicago and faces several personal and professional problems while trying to run the restaurant.

The Bear saw widespread critical and commercial success upon the release of its first season.

The second run of the program was released in June last year to similar critical acclaim from critics and fans alike.

The show as a whole currently has a 99% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and also has an audience score of 93%.

The cost of a pack of cigarettes could rise to £16 according to next week’s budget.

The Treasury Department is eyeing a dramatic increase in tobacco taxes to ensure a tax on vaping keeps smoking alternatives cheaper.

Last year Jeremy Hunt added £1.55 to a pack of 20 cigarettes – and a similar increase is being considered for March 6.

The average price of a pack of 20 cigarettes is currently £14.39, making Britain one of the most expensive places to smoke in Europe.

In France, cigarettes cost around £9 each, compared to £7 in the Netherlands and £6.50 in Germany.

The move is part of Rishi Sunak’s tough stance on smoking, with the Prime Minister personally known to be extremely anti-tobacco.

Last year at the party conference he unveiled plans to ban smoking for anyone born after 2009, by raising the legal age for buying cigarettes by one year every year.

And single-use vapes will be banned as part of stricter measures announced earlier this year.

Next one This month’s Budget is expected to impose a new vaping tax on imported e-cigarettes and manufacturers in a bid to make them unaffordable for children.

The excise tax will apply to the liquid in vapes, with higher levels for products with more nicotine.

Sources say the additional tax increase on cigarettes means vaping will still be the cheaper option for smokers.

The vapor tax is modeled after European regulations, such as Germany, which imposed a tax of €1.60 on every 10 ml of vaping liquid.

The two new levies will raise around half a billion pounds into struggling public coffers.

But tobacco companies today warned that the rising price of cigarettes is fueling illegal sales on the black market.

Sarah Connor of JTI UK said: “Unreasonable tobacco taxes are fueling the criminal sale of illicit tobacco, costing taxpayers money and driving up inflation.”

JTI research shows that a quarter of cigarettes and 38 percent of roll-your-own tobacco sold in Britain are tax-free.

Christopher Snowdon, head of Lifestyle Economics at free market think tank the Institute for Economic Affairs, said: “The government’s approach to vaping has become a disjointed mess.

“The company says it wants to restrict single-use vaping, yet it will tax refillable e-cigarette liquid. It’s giving away e-cigarettes for free with its Swap to Stop program, while making vaping less affordable for those willing to pay.

“The country says it wants to reduce the tax burden, but seems willing to tax smoking cessation.”

HMRC estimates that £9.3 billion in tax revenue has been lost due to the illegal sale of tobacco.

Ben Affleck enjoyed a cigarette as he sat in the driver’s seat while driving his wife Jennifer Lopez in her $450,000 silver Rolls-Royce Ghost in Los Angeles on Friday.

The Oscar-winning Argo actor’s son Samuel, 11, who he is co-parenting with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, could be seen in the backseat with other passengers.

The Hollywood veteran, 51, sported a scruffy beard as he chatted with others in the car with one hand on the steering wheel and the other on his cigarette.

Pinup Lopez, 54, wore her brunette hair back and wore a cream turtleneck as she looked comfortable in the passenger seat of the luxury vehicle.

The other people in the car could be Affleck and Garner’s two daughters, Violet, 17, and Seraphina, 14. Or they could be twins Max and Emme, 15, whom Lopez shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony.

The family seemed in good spirits as they drove away from the $60 million mansion the lovebirds share in Los Angeles’ Bel-Air neighborhood.

Ben and Jen are usually seen in his Rivian or Mercedes-Benz, the car they used to get McDonald’s Drive-Thru fast food earlier this month.

But on Friday the two were in Lopez’s trendy Rolls-Royce.

The Phantom is a jet black color with a V12 engine that she has been seen driving to premieres.

The mother actress also has a $202k Bentley Continental GTC, which is cream colored with a brown roof. And she has been seen in an Aston Martin DB7. It is not known whether she still has the red Porsche that her ex-fiancé Alex Rodriguez gave her as a gift on her 50th birthday.

This is the moment an easyJet passenger is sent off a flight from Prague to Britain after arguing with a flight attendant over an unlit cigarette in his mouth.

The flight to Manchester was due to leave Prague at 9.35pm local time yesterday, but take-off was delayed by an hour after a man ignored several orders from the crew and repeatedly put a cigarette in his mouth.

Video shows the man, who appeared to be drunk, arguing with the flight’s chief stewardess, who said: ‘I’m not convinced for a second that he’s not going to smoke it and I think he’s too drunk to to travel. ‘

The passenger’s friend was repeatedly captured and begged the cabin crew to keep his friend on the flight.

But the steward insisted: ‘He is not traveling with me today. Not in this condition. If he’s like this on the ground, with the doors open, what will he be like in the air? I don’t have that during my flight. He’s getting out.’

When the man, who was wearing a gray sweater, boarded the plane, he already had the unlit cigarette in his mouth and was warned by crew members to put it away.

Nevertheless, he continued to put it in his mouth as soon as he sat in his seat, only taking it out to drink from a plastic bottle that smelled like vodka, according to other passengers.

The cabin crew ushered the man forward to speak to the pilot, but not before the apparently intoxicated passenger demanded several times to take his luggage.

When he finally walked to the front of the plane, laughter erupted among the passengers.

Once the passenger was booted and the doors closed, the steward apologized profusely for the delay – which at that point had exceeded the hour mark.

He said the man had kicked off to ensure the comfort of the other passengers, a statement that was followed by nods, claps and even some cheering from the rest of the people on board.

An easyJet spokesperson said: ‘We can confirm that a passenger on flight EZY2232 from Prague to Manchester was escorted from the aircraft before departure on November 7 as a result of disruptive behaviour.

‘EasyJet cabin crew are trained to assess all situations and take quick and appropriate action if necessary.

“While incidents like this are rare, we take them very seriously and will not tolerate any form of disruptive behavior on board that jeopardizes the safety of the flight, other passengers or our crew – which is always our top priority.”

The import of these non-refillable gas-powered pocket lighters was USD 0.66 million in 2022-2023. In April of this fiscal year it was USD 0.13 million.

New Delhi: The government of India on Thursday banned the import of cigarette lighters if the unit price falls below Rs 20, aiming to discourage inbound shipments of the product.

“Cigarette lighter import policies…is being revised from ‘free’ to ‘banned’. However, the import is free if the cif value is Rs 20 or more per lighter,” the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) said in a notice.

What is CIF value?

The cost, insurance and freight (CIF) price is the price of a good delivered to the border of the importing country, or the price of a service delivered to a resident, before payment of import duties or other import or trade taxes and transportation margins within the country.

In international trade, this term is often used because the logistics process can be complex. In addition to determining the value of the goods, CIF also declares specific rules and regulations to declare the liability of the product.

Under the rules announced by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), which are considered standard practices, the seller is responsible for the goods until the product reaches the buyer’s port/destination.

Ban on imports of lighters to India

The ban applies to pocket lighters, gas lighters, non-refillable or refillable.

The import of these non-refillable gas-powered pocket lighters was USD 0.66 million in 2022-2023. In April of this fiscal year it was USD 0.13 million.

Similarly, inbound shipments of pocket lighters, gas-powered and refillable, were $8.87 million in 2022-2023 versus $7 million in 2021-22. It was USD 0.96 million in April of this fiscal year.

These lighters are largely imported from countries such as Spain, Turkey and the UAE.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin had urged the Center in September last year to ban single-use plastic cigarette lighters to help the domestic matchbox industry.

Most of these plastic cigarette lighters, which are legally and illegally imported from countries like China, are available for Rs 10 and can replace 20 matchboxes, Stalin said. He further added that these non-refillable lighters result in immense plastic waste, harmful to the environment and also to health, he said.

The matchbox industry is a major source of employment in the southern part of Tamil Nadu.
