Comic Relief fans raved about star-studded parody The Traitors: The Movie on Friday night.

The hilarious segment saw the series two finale retold, with runner-up Mollie Pierce playing herself, but winner Harry Clark was played by the devious Jonathan Bailey.

Also starring were Suranne Jones as Claudia Winkleman, David Walliams And Catherine Tate as contestants Paul Gorton and Evie Morrison.

Fans took to social media in droves to praise the skit, highlighting Suranne’s performance as Claudia.

The first images showed them following a series of insidious transformations after undergoing makeovers to look like the stars of the hit BBC show.

Suranne, 45, was chosen as host Claudia and sported the fan favorite’s signature heavy bangs and eyeliner.

The film version of the celebrities was first unveiled on BBC’s The One Show on Monday night and viewers are encouraged to pour themselves a cup of fizzy rosé to watch the frivolity unfold.

It showed Jazatha Christie’s neglect, Ross’s infamous wink, Diane’s untimely murder, and the traitors turning on each other at the roundtable.

The Traitors: The Movie brought to life some of the most iconic moments from the series, featuring some of the nation’s favorite contestants.

The cast includes iDiane (Sally Phillips), Harry (Jonathan Bailey), Jaz (Asim Chaudhry), Miles (Kiell Smith-Bynoe), Paul (David Walliams) and Ross (Iain Stirling).

Speaking about the role, Suranne said: “I grew up with Comic Relief and every year I think I have to do something, so it’s an absolute thrill to be cast.

‘I’ve seen The Traitors and I love Claudia, so everything happens with love when I step into her shoes. Most importantly, we raise money for really important causes. So we have fun with it, but the most important thing will always be the causes.’

Meanwhile, Jonathan Bailey said: “Being invited to a Comic Relief evening of TV sketches is the proudest moment of my career so far.

Elsewhere, Sally Phillips said: ‘It’s always a laugh to be involved in Red Nose Day. It’s pretty hard to use your job for good, so this is the one time a year you can raise money while you work.

‘I watched most of The Traitors in one day and became obsessed. Actually, don’t tell me who won because I watched until Diane died and I’m going home today to watch the rest. It’s completely moving.”

Runner-up Mollie said: ‘Red Nose Day is a great cause and something I watched as a child.

‘When I read the script I thought it was so funny and great entertainment, it’s nice to make people smile and laugh after such an intense series. I don’t think I really had time to process being asked to be involved in the draft.

‘When I got the call, I was running around the house with my mother screaming. I feel very privileged and very happy.’

David Tennant gives himself a good wash as he transforms into the next James Bond for an upcoming Comic Relief sketch airing on Friday.

The actor, 52, looked dapper as he donned a black button-up jacket with red trim and buttons.

The Doctor Who star paired the smart jacket with an all-black suit and enjoyed his martini, shaken and not stirred, as he fully embraced the character.

Balancing the martini on the roof of his Comic Relief Aston Martin, David made sure he would travel in style in the vehicle.

Viewers will get the chance to get their hands on the stylish ride for themselves as Chris Evans and CarFest have donated the vehicle for the event.

David will join a host of co-presenters for the charity evening, while Sir Lenny Henry will present the fundraising show for the final time this year, after 39 years of presenting the comedy telethon.

The evening guarantees lots of fun with hysterical sketches, including David’s role as Bond.

Ahead of Sir Lenny’s departure, the evening will also include a sketch about the search for his replacement, with famous faces and Sir Lenny performing I’m Just Len, his own version of the Oscar-nominated song I’m Just Ken from the Barbie blockbuster.

‘It will be fantastic to leave knowing that – I’m getting emotional now – there’s a new group of people taking over and treating it the same way we did.’

He also said: ‘This is a good time to part ways and give a new generation the opportunity to take over and kick things off a bit.’

It is the last year that Sir Lenny Henry will host the show, with Joel Dommett, Maya Jama, Davina McCall, Paddy McGuinness, Rosie Ramsey and Romesh Ranganathan also co-presenting.

The new series of the smash hit show The Traitors has reportedly been thrown into chaos after the BBC was flooded with 300,000 applications.

Nearly 7 million viewers watched the season two finale in January and now producers are said to be racing against the clock as they try to get just 22 hopeful viewers in in time for filming, which starts in a few months.

A source said The sun: ‘[Filming] should start in the spring because the hours of daylight in the far north of Scotland are far too long in the summer months.’

“That’s a big deal because, as anyone who’s seen the show knows, a lot of it has to take place at night.

“So if they miss the opportunity to film, it causes problems.”

It comes after Courteney Cox was reportedly lined up as the first signing for a famous version of The Traitors.

The actress, 59, is close friends with the show’s host Claudia Winkleman, 52, and she claimed bosses hope their friendship will convince Courteney to sign up.

American star Courteney was known around the world for her role as Monica Geller in the hit sitcom Friends from 1994 to 2004.

Insiders have claimed that producers are hoping to have their pick of a number of big stars who are themselves fans of the reality show following the success of the first two series, which featured previously unknown contestants.

MailOnline has contacted the BBC and a representative for Courteney for comment.

Claudia and Courteney have been friends for years and last month they were photographed having lunch together in London.

Now Charlotte Freud – whose parents are Rupert’s TV director daughter Elisabeth and PR supremo Matthew Freud – has claimed her marriage to rapper Luke Storey was essentially over within hours.

She told The Mail on Sunday: ‘We had been married for 12 hours when our whole world fell apart. On the way to our honeymoon he relapsed. It wasn’t a good sign.’

Charlotte, now 23, met Luke – a self-confessed recovering drug and alcohol addict – when she was just 18 and he was 33.

He encouraged Charlotte to join Narcotics Anonymous to help end her addiction to ketamine.

They married in 2022 at St Mary’s Church in Westwell, Oxfordshire, with her grandfather Rupert flying in while he was in the middle of divorcing his fourth wife, Jerry Hall. Guests included actor Woody Harrelson and host Claudia Winkleman.

Charlotte said she quickly realized Luke was a “first husband kind of deal,” adding that theirs was a “show of a marriage.”

She said: ‘It felt like there were three people in the relationship: me and him and our recovery.

“When our recovery was strong, we were strong, and when it wasn’t, we fell apart. We had a great relationship when we were sober, but neither of us could stay sober.

“The wedding was so public and everyone loved our relationship.”

They divorced in September last year after just 14 months.

Charlotte now lives in Los Angeles with a new boyfriend and is preparing to launch a dating app for sober people called Club Pillar in the coming months.

“They’re also shooting for the stars,” the insider added. ‘Because they don’t understand why they can’t attract the same caliber of people who are currently signing up for Strictly and I’m A Celebrity.’

Harry took the nation by storm with his tactful performance on the BBC show as he stole the £95,150 winnings from the faithful.

But despite the ITV reality show earning him more than double his prize money, The sun has revealed that the army corporal chose to turn down the opportunity.

It comes after Harry signed with talent agency Inter Talent earlier this week after meeting with more than 15 different agencies.

An inside source told the publication: ‘Just like his time on the whodunnit show, he is incredibly smart about every move he makes and wants to play the long game.

‘He has no idea that he likes doing reality TV. And while he was incredibly flattered by the offer, Celebrity Big Brother didn’t feel like the right project for him.

“He is now receiving expert guidance from one of the country’s top talent agencies, after no fewer than 16 companies approached him to close deals on his behalf.”

Harry’s representatives told MailOnline they could not comment.

Oppenheimer won de prijs voor Beste Film en veroverde tijdens de chique ceremonie het bestuur in de hoofdcategorieën.

De epische biografische thriller leidde de overwinningen met zeven gongs, waaronder Beste Acteur voor Cillian Murphy, Beste Mannelijke Bijrol voor Robert Downey Jr en Beste Regisseur voor Christopher Nolan. Het had de meeste nominaties met 13.

De grootste avond uit de Britse film keerde terug met acteur David Tennant als gastheer en een reeks gastpresentatoren die de hele avond prijzen uitreikten.

Murphy, 47 – die de titelrol speelt in Nolans atoombom-saga – nam de prijs in ontvangst tijdens de prestigieuze Britse prijsuitreiking.

Hij zegevierde tegen Bradley Cooper voor Maestro, Colman Domingo voor Rustin, Paul Giamatti voor The Holdovers, Barry Keoghan voor Saltburn en Teo Yoo voor Past Lives.

Hij nam de trofee in ontvangst en zei: 'Oh jongen, heilige moly, heel erg bedankt BAFTA.'

Hij bracht hulde aan 'de meest dynamische, vriendelijkste producer-regisseur-samenwerking in Hollywood: Chris Nolan en Emma Thomas, bedankt dat je iets in mij zag dat ik waarschijnlijk niet in mezelf zag.'

De Ierse acteur zei tegen Nolan: 'Bedankt dat je me altijd hebt gepusht en uitmuntendheid hebt geëist, want dat is wat je keer op keer levert.'

Nolan erkende ook zijn ‘medegenomineerden en mijn Oppenhomies’ en voegde eraan toe: ‘Ik weet dat het een cliché is om te zeggen, maar ik heb ontzag voor je.’

Hij zei dat J Robert Oppenheimer een ‘kolossaal knoestig personage’ was, en voegde eraan toe: ‘We hebben een ruimte om die complexiteit te debatteren, te ondervragen en te onderzoeken en het is een voorrecht om met jullie allemaal deel uit te maken van deze gemeenschap

Downey Jr, 58, ontving ook een BAFTA voor zijn rol als Lewis Strauss in de Hollywood-kaskraker, die tijdens het prijzenseizoen van 2024 het bestuur veroverde.

Hij gaf toe dat hij de prijs te danken heeft aan Nolan, producer Emma Thomas en hoofdrolspeler Murphy, evenals aan ‘Britse invloed’.

Hij gebaarde naar Nolan en zei: 'Onlangs suggereerde die kerel dat ik een ingetogen aanpak zou proberen als een laatste wanhopige poging om mijn afnemende geloofwaardigheid nieuw leven in te blazen.'

De overwinning van Downey Jr. vestigde een nieuw record voor het langste verschil tussen overwinningen van welke artiest dan ook, 31 jaar na zijn vorige BAFTA, voor de film Chaplin uit 1993.

Het vorige record was 27 jaar, gevestigd door Sir Anthony Hopkins in 2021 toen hij de prijs voor beste acteur won voor The Father, bijna drie decennia na zijn overwinning in 1994 voor Shadowlands.

Naomi Campbell looked like she should be gracing the halls of The Traitors castle in the Scottish Highlands as she attended the BAFTAs on Sunday night.

The supermodel, 53, put on a stunning display on the red carpet at The Royal Festival Hall ahead of the annual awards ceremony honouring the best in film.

While Naomi is no stranger to making a style statement of her own, she appeared to have taken inspiration from someone in particular at the event.

The mother of two looked strikingly like The Traitors host Claudia Winkleman in her hooded cape with a heavy full fringe.

She wore her cape over a full length A-line dress, while she kept it glamorous with a full face of make-up, including a dramatic smokey-eye.

David Tennant will host this year’s ceremony live from Royal Festival Hall at London’s Southbank Centre, with an array of guest presenters on hand to deliver awards throughout the night.

Actress and singer Hannah Waddingham will treat guests to an exclusive live music performance, while Sophie Ellis-Bextor will perform her iconic hit Murder on the Dancefloor after it enjoyed a new lease of life in Emerald Fennell’s BAFTA nominated Saltburn. 

Elsewhere the Guyanese-born, London-based film curator June Givanni will receive an Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema Award.

Actress Samantha Morton’s lengthy career will also be rewarded with a BAFTA Fellowship, the arts charity’s highest accolade and handed out in recognition of outstanding and exceptional contribution to film, games or television.

Tennant, who is hosting the star-studded ceremony for the first time, recently admitted he was bewildered by the prospect of compering to so many people. 

He told Variety: ‘I don’t know what to expect, if I’m honest with you. The whole thing just feels like one of those experiences you say ‘yes’ to because it would be churlish not to. But what an amazing thing to be asked to do. What a privilege.’ 

The Scottish actor also insisted he will adopt a softer approach to the abrasive style used to great effect by Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes. 

‘I think the BAFTA mood is supportive and friendly,’ he added. ‘Ricky Gervais is brilliant at what he does, but that wouldn’t be my style.

‘I don’t think I’ve quite got that sort of approach, so I think you just have to kind of be who you are, really. But we’ve got some good material that won’t leave anyone feeling got at.’ 

Tennant revealed he was in complete shock when he received an email asking if he wanted to host the annual awards show. 

Speaking to the Radio Times, he said: ‘Right now, a month out, it feels like a bit of a thrill and a lark.

‘An extraordinary opportunity to do something very unusual and exciting. People keep asking me how nervous I am, how I’m preparing for it and so on, and that’s beginning to make me nervous.

‘Who knows why they’ve asked me! I just thought I’d say yes before they realised they’ve sent the email to the wrong person.’ 

BAFTA CEO Jane Millichip confirmed the academy was ‘over the moon’ that Tennant would be hosting the ceremony.

In 2023, acting veteran Richard E. Grant graced the stage as the BAFTAs host, and during his opening monologue referenced the notorious 2022 Academy Awards moment when movie star Will Smith slapped presenter Chris Rock across the face.

He told the star-studded crowd: ‘Nobody on my watch gets slapped tonight – except on the back.’

In 2022, Pitch Perfect and Bridesmaids actress Rebel Wilson made risqué jokes about the royal family, Russian president Vladimir Putin, the gender pay gap, flop film Cats – in which she starred – and her recent weight loss.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts is a world-leading independent arts charity that draws attention to the best of film, games and television and supports the development of creative talent in the United Kingdom and the wide world. 

The organisation also celebrates excellence and nurtures fresh talent through year-round workshops, scholarships, masterclasses, mentoring schemes and lectures.

The nominees for the BAFTA EE Rising Star Award were announced on January 10, with the official longlist of nominations unveiled on January 18. 

This year’s ceremony is two hours long and will be broadcast from 7:00pm until 9:00pm on BBC One and will available to stream on BBC iPlayer.

Traitors finalist Jaz Singh has revealed he gave his bank details to winner Harry Clark after the nail-biting final.

After constant bans, double bluffs and murders – which left him in the bottom three – 30-year-old Jaz lost the £95,000 prize money.

When asked by PA what his relationship with Harry was like now, he joked: “I gave him my bank details, I'll see what he sends me.”

Jaz, who was dubbed 'Jazatha Christie' by viewers for his elite detective skills, managed to see through all the traitors and when it came down to just him, Harry, 23, and Mollie Pearce, 21, he tried to convince the model to cast her voice to him – which she almost did.

When asked by PA what his relationship with Harry was like now, he joked: “I gave him my bank details, I'll see what he sends me.”

In the nail-biting episode, fans watched as Mollie remained in turmoil as she weighed up whether to vote out Jaz or Harry at the end of the match.

After writing one name on her board, she asked host Claudia Winkleman if she could change it and rubbed it out for another.

The model mistakenly believed that Harry was a Faithful in the hope that they would split the money, but when he revealed that he had been a traitor all along, she stormed out of the room.

Speaking to MailOnline about that pivotal moment, national account manager Jaz said: 'When I saw Mollie write down that H, I thought: yes, we've got this.

'When she changed. I felt it in my stomach. I thought I was going to get sick. It was so tense I couldn't even explain it.'

He added that he wasn't sure if he would even try to convince her against the British army corporal because the pair were so close. He said: 'With Mollie, I ended up being really nervous to even have that conversation with her.

“I thought if I pushed too hard it would shoot me in the foot. It's such a shame that she went with her heart instead of her head.'

Jaz – who was dubbed the GOAT (greatest of all time) by fans – initially kept his distance from his fellow contestants as he feared 'getting emotionally involved' would cloud his vision. He also spoke of his disappointment that he was not singled out as a traitor.

He said: 'My plan was to just be a traitor, and then I got stabbed! It was really hard, I wanted to go home the first day.

'I had a conversation with myself and had to say: 'You will never get this opportunity again, hundreds of thousands of people have signed up, it took ten months!'

“Just because I wasn't a traitor, I still had to appreciate the opportunity and believe in myself. When I discovered Paul, I knew I could do it.”

Jaz sidelined everyone after being the only believer who was suspicious that the popular Paul was a traitor.

He saw through the crocodile tears, the fake movements and the masterful behavioral control of his fellow actors, leaving the viewers deeply impressed.

About that moment he said: 'When I discovered Paul, I broke the chair! I screamed and turned into some kind of daemon!

'Then I started to believe in myself and I got everyone. I watched it again and couldn't believe how I got everyone excited. I hope a detective series comes out of this, because I'm ready!'

Appearing on the latest episode of The Traitors Uncloaked on Friday night, Jaz spoke about his reaction to all the fuss made about him: 'Honestly, you just don't expect it.

“I don't even have Twitter, so I was getting screenshots of people sending me tweets and stuff, and I was like, 'Jazatha Christie?' Wait, who is Agatha Christie?' So I had to Google who Agatha Christie is, and I saw a woman who has sold like 60 million detective cases and I thought, 'Oh my God.'

“Honestly, it was great. People have messaged me saying, 'You have to win, you have to get Harry.' … It was incredible, absolutely incredible.”
