The Princess of Wales and Duchess of Edinburgh are said to share a strong friendship, a connection that is even reflected in their fashion choices.

The similarities in their attire – from corresponding trouser suits to synchronized dresses – represent a remarkable bond that goes beyond personal style.

Since marrying into the Royal Family, Sophie, 59, much like Kate, 42, has cemented her position at the heart of the Monarchy, having been adored by both the late Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.

Sophie not only served as a pillar of support to the Queen following the death of her husband, but she also spent time with Kate during the early stages of her relationship with William, offering guidance as she began her royal journey.

Despite their 17-year age gap, Sophie has forged a close alliance with Kate and mirrored her sartorial choices on several occasions, including state occasions and more informal appearances. 

The duo’s unbreakable bond was evident at the 2023 Buckingham Palace Garden Party, when they stepped out wearing carefully coordinating ensembles, adorned with ruffles and bows.

Inspired by the Lebanese label’s resort 2019 collection, Kate’s bespoke Elie Saab two-piece comprised an elegant pussy-bow blouse and dobby tulle skirt, created in an exquisite powder blue hue.

She debuted the ensemble at Royal Ascot in 2019 with identical accessories: a Philip Treacy hat, Gianvito Rossi heels and Kiki McDonough earrings (although the last-mentioned were a different version this time).

Sophie perfectly complemented Kate in the Suzannah Isla dress, crafted from Guipure lace and featuring a fit-and-flare silhouette, decorated with a frilled bib.

The royals’ coordinating aesthetic was also evident when they stepped out wearing glittering Erdem dresses in 2017 and 2023 respectively.

Kate, who was attending the launch of the UK-India Year of Culture 2017 in London, selected a shin-length metallic lace dress by the British fashion designer.

Meanwhile, Sophie dazzled in the floor-length version, which also incorporated semi-sheer sleeves and a pleated skirt, for the 2022 Royal Variety Performance, some five years later.

The Duchess later rewore this dress during her visit to Canada in 2023 as Colonel-in-Chief of the Lincoln and Welland Regiment, and Patron of Toronto General and Toronto Western Hospitals.

In September of last year, Kate paid a visit to the leading Yorkshire textile mill, AW Hainsworth, in Leeds. 

She recycled a forest green trouser suit by Burberry, adding a crisp white Holland Cooper bodysuit and Emmy London block heels. 

The Princess first wore the tailored two-piece when she welcomed Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway to the UK earlier in the year.

Following in the Princess’s fashionable footsteps, Sophie stepped out wearing a comparable trouser suit by Victoria Beckham in January.

More recently, the royals donned strikingly similar festive ensembles. Kate sported an olive green military coat on Christmas Day in 2022 and Sophie emulated her outfit in 2023.

However, she opted for contrasting accessories: Jimmy Choo croc-embossed pumps and a Jane Taylor boater hat.

Earlier this month, Sophie replicated a tonal ensemble that Kate wore back in 2022. 

Visiting the Right Stuff Amateur Boxing Club, in Staffordshire, the Duchess kept the chill at bay in a camel-coloured coat, which looked incredibly similar to one worn by the Princess during an official visit to Scarborough.

Kate’s luxurious outerwear, hailing from Max&Co, teamed beautifully with her Gabriela Hearst dress, Ralph Lauren pumps and DeMellier bag. 

Also opting for complementary hues, Sophie chose a Reiss knitted dress, Gianvito Rossi suede boots and an Isabel Marant studded bag.

Seemingly drawing style inspiration from Kate, Sophie frequently replicates the Princess’s looks at royal engagements.

The royals have both worn Roksanda’s coveted Luna dress – Kate choosing a buttercup yellow version for the 2022 Wimbledon Women’s Singles Final and Sophie opting for classic navy during her visit to the Turks and Caicos Islands in 2023.

Cut to a calf-skimming length, the skirt is adorned in pleats for fluid movement, while the bodice features a bow-like fold at one shoulder.

The ladies heightened their outfits with neutral accessories: Kate choosing white Gianvito Rossi pumps, while Sophie complemented her look with pale pink Penelope Chilvers wedges.

Additionally, at last year’s Not Forgotten Association Garden Party, Sophie replicated the outfit Kate wore to the Opening Ceremony of the London Olympics in 2012.

The ensemble is made of a shimmering material that adds a fashionable flair to the outfit.

She put on a pair of nude open-toed heels, secured with straps that wrapped around her ankles.

Lohan added a cream-colored, fluffy jacket to help her stay warm in cooler temperatures. She also had a sleek white bag in her hand, matching the color scheme of the outfit.

Bader was seen wearing a brown-colored sweater and black pants. The financier also opted for a black coat while completing his ensemble with a pair of black shoes.

Her husband sweetly escorted her to the sidewalk as they got out of a car, and held her hands as they strolled to the Italian restaurant.

While also speaking to Bustle, she explained that Bader was supportive of her work in the entertainment industry.

“He will support me because I am in it. You know what I mean?’ Lindsay said, also adding that she likes Shamma being involved in her work.

‘He is very intuitive and understands very well how things will work out in the end. He can foresee things to some extent. So I like getting his advice on everything and having him be a part of it. I just feel safer.”

The pair – who currently live in Dubai – have been keeping busy during their time in Los Angeles and recently attended the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscars party earlier this week.

The 2024 Oscars turned out to be a stylish evening to remember.

Hollywood’s biggest names turned heads on the red carpet on Sunday, March 10, at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. We’re talking fitted silhouettes, otherworldly textures and vibrant hues. While it’s safe to say the stars brought their fashion staples to the big night, a handful stood out from the rest.

We weekly called Lupita Nyong’o, Hailee Steinfeld, Zendaya, Gabriel Union And America Ferrera as this year’s best dressed.

5) America Ferrera

After wearing mostly all-black outfits during the Barbie press tour and muted tones at previous awards shows, Ferrera, 39, channeled her inner doll in Versace. The custom fitted dress took 400 hours to make and was perfected after 10 versions. Ferrera was styled by Karla Welch, who said, “We thought we’d save the pink for last.”

The 27-year-old Euphoria star dropped jaws in a black and pink sequin number by Giorgio Armani Prive; the one-shoulder look also had a sweetheart neckline.

The striking gown had pink silky elements mixed in with the black sequin portions, resulting in a unique and incredible look.

Zendaya added gorgeous pink toned earrings and wore her brunette hair curled at the ends for a beautiful touch. Her jewels are from Bulgari.

Jennifer, 33, arrived in a stunning black and white polka-dot printed Dior Spring 2024 Haute Couture gown.

The mom of one, who is married to Cooke Maroney, has been an ambassador for the fashion house since 2012.

Jennifer’s frock had a fitted corset top-half and a flowing skirt; the eye-catching number had an asymmetrical neckline that had a draped element along one arm. 

The Oscar winner styled her long blonde hair with a deep side part, adding minimal makeup to highlight her beauty. 

Lupita, 41, dazzled in a custom Giorgio Armani powder blue gown; the frock had a peplum waist with feathered accents and crystal embellishments.

The movie star added De Beers earrings, bracelets and rings. 

Emma Stone wowed in a striking strapless mint hued gown, featuring a peplum waist. She is a wearing Louis Vuitton dress and Louis Vuitton High Jewelry.

Oppenheimer star Emily Blunt dazzled in a shimmering cream and silver frock, complete with a layered diamond necklace. Emily is wearing Schiaparelli Spring 2024 Haute Couture with Tiffany & Co. jewels.

Charlize Theron looked like an ethereal goddess in a sleek silver Dior Haute Couture number, which had an asymmetrical neckline.

The blonde beauty wore large diamond earrings that complemented her statement diamond necklaces. She is wearing Boucheron jewels.

Dune: Part Two star Florence Pugh looked breathtaking in a silver gown, which featured a three-dimensional top-half and a sleek silver bottom. Florence is wearing Del Core Spring 2024 with a Buglari High Jewelry Serpenti necklace. 

Anya Taylor-Joy dazzled in a strapless silver mermaid-inspired gown with her blonde hair center parted and straight and loose around her. Anya is wearing Dior Haute Couture with Tiffany & Co. jewels. 

Gabrielle Union’s look featured a three-dimensional accent along the waistline. Gabrielle is wearing Carolina Herrera Pre-Fall 2024 with Tiffany & Co. jewels.

The 96th Academy Awards was held on March 10 at 7 pm ET/4pm PT live on ABC, hosted for a fourth time by Jimmy Kimmel.

Oppenheimer won a whopping seven Oscars at Sunday night’s Academy Awards – while rival Barbie only won one.

Meanwhile Emma Stone led Poor Things to an impressive four including her Best Actress win and UK film The Zone Of Interest won two at the gala event held at The Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.

The historical epic directed by Christopher Nolan swept the major categories with wins for Best Actor Cillian Murphy, Best Supporting Actor Robert Downey Jr. and Nolan – with the film also winning Best Picture.

In contrast, Barbie, who memorably won against Oppenheimer in the ‘Barbenheimer’ box office showdown over the summer, walked away with just one award for Best Original Song for What Was I Made For? by Billie Eilish and Finneas McConnell.

Downey Jr. jokingly thanked his ‘terrible childhood’ as he finally won an Oscar for his portrayal of Lewis Strauss, was delighted as he took to the stage – after host Jimmy Kimmel made a very awkward quip about his drug use.

The veteran actor – who has acted for over five decades – took home the Academy Award over stiff competition including Sterling K. Brown, American Fiction, Robert De Niro, Killers of the Flower Moon, Ryan Gosling, Barbie, and Mark Ruffalo, Poor Things.

Oppenheimer won seven awards in total – as well as Best Actor for Cillian Murphy, Best Supporting Actor, Best Director for Christopher Nolan, and Best Picture, it won Original Score for Ludwig Göransson – along with cinematography and achievement in film editing.

Al Pacino announced Oppenheimer as the Best Picture winner without bothering to name all the other nominees.

After the two films were released on the same day – July 21 – Barbenheimer gripped film fans who made an event out of going directly from the screening of one to the other.

Barbie was the highest-grossing movie of the year on both the domestic ($636.2 million) and worldwide ($1.445 billion) box office charts.

Oppenheimer took fifth place ($326.1 million) on the domestic box office charts and third place ($957.8 million) on the worldwide charts.

Meanwhile Emma, 35, powered through a wardrobe malfunction as she beat out an impressive field including favorite Lily Gladstone from Killers Of The Flower Moon in addition to Annette Bening, Nyad, Sandra Huller, Anatomy of a Fall, and Carey Mulligan, Maestro.

 As Emma was walking on stage she signaled that there was something wrong with her dress as she quickly acknowledged it during her emotional acceptance speech.

She said: ‘Oh, boy. My dress is broken. I think it happened during I’m Just Ken. I’m pretty sure. Oh, boy, this is really — this is really overwhelming. Sorry, I’m — okay, my voice is also a little gone. Whatever.’

Da’Vine Joy Randolph emotionally kicked off the Oscars as she broke into tears as she earned the coveted Actress in a Supporting Role for The Holdovers.

The talented 37-year-old actress beat out stiff competition including Emily Blunt, Oppenheimer, Danielle Brooks, The Color Purple, America Ferrera, Barbie, and Jodie Foster, Nyad.

Tonight saw the BRIT Awards return, with the biggest talents in music hoping to be recognised for their creative talent – and many dressing to impress too. 

The ceremony – held at the 02 Arena in London – will be hosted by Maya Jama, Clara Amfo and Roman Kemp. 

There will also be a host of stars performing during the ceremony including Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding. 

But while the stars have undoubtedly put hours into their look, unfortunately, some did not look their best.

Among those who missed the mark are band The Last Dinner Party, Caroline Polachek, and Rebecca Ferguson.

While underwear as outerwear has been a trend on the catwalk, The Last Dinner Party took the look to the extreme, with what appeared to be a Marie-Antoinette-inspired corset-heavy look.

However, even more extreme was singer, writer, and producer Caroline Palochek who opted for an unusual cone bra.

Her cups were in the shapes of horns. She paired the statement piece with a maxi-skirt, which was laced up at each side, and finished her look with a heavy make-up look, with emphasis on her eyes, which she circled with heavy black eyeliner. 

On the other end of the scale, Rebecca Ferguson opted for something a little more ladylike: a two-piece skirt suit in pink and white gingham.

She paired the outfit with appropriate white Mary-Jane style shoes. Unfortunately though, her blazer and skirt did not quite match, with the pink of her skirt much darker than of her blazer.

Her hair was styled into a low bun, and she wore a classic make-up look, accessorised with pearls.

Overall, the suit was a nice fit, with the shoulders and waist tailored perfectly for the star – but the top was tight, meaning she put on a very busty display.

While this suited the overall look, as the BRIT Awards usually attracts more outlandish looks, Rebecca’s outfit overall stood out compared to some of the more on-trend looks. 

Singer Tallia Storm donned an event-appropriate Union Jack blazer (reminiscent of Ginger Spice’s similar dress from the nineties). 

 However, while her blazer – which she paired with an oversized white shirt and loosely tie black tie – hit the mark, Tallia appeared to forgot to pair her top with any bottom.

On top of that, she wore high heeled block heeled shoes – but the ankle straps of on the shoes were a poor fit, looking uncomfortably tight. A better fit would have added more polish to the overall look. 

Another busty display was donned by singer-songwriter Becky Hill, who wore a strappy black maxi-dress for the event.

While the bottom was a full skirt, the top was made from skimpy straps, which threatened to fall out of place at any moment.

Another celebrity to don a daring piece was Maddie Grace Jepson, who wore a sheer black mai-dress, which little to the imagination.

Conversely, musician Raye looked too conservative in her off-the-shoulder black sequinned maxi-dress.

While the star undoubtedly looked exceptional with her dress and coordinating hair and make-up look, she missed the opportunity to wear something more event-appropriate. 

Mancunian rapper Aitch was another of the attendees to incorporate animal print into his outfit, and he kept the amount appropriate.

However, opting for Autumnal colours, donning brown from head-to-toe, meant his look was not quite seasonally appropriate. 

While X Factor competitor Ella Henderson showed off a mixture of wins and losses, overall, she made the worst dressed list.

Her oversized hat fit suited her well. However, paired with her oversized pussy bow blouse, her top half looked a little messy. 

Meanwhile, while her black flares were on-trend, another fitting would have ensured that the seams sat better.

The beautiful Oti Matabuse did not disappoint when it came to her make-up and hair.

However, the oversized neckline of her dress may have been better balanced with a pair of less eye-catching shoes, with the two features battling it out for attention.

While not badly-dress per se, after the colour pink has been done to death at awards ceremonies, Jess Glynne was one of very few attendees to don the hue.

Her dress shape suited her well, but the fabric used to make the dress was very unforgiving, meaning she could have spent more time on her undergarments.

Another of the celebrities who made the worst dressed list despite looking nice in their outfit was Nia Archives.

The record producer and DJ done an ombre maxi-dress in yellow and black, with a ripped-style uneven hemline and chunky platform strappy heels.

While the shape of the dress suited the musician, and her hair and make-up were well-styled, the outfit looked slightly too casual for an awards event – with the dress more similar to something you might wear in the Summer. 

Eve is another star who made the worst dressed list, but who has to be praised for some aspects of her outfit.

The musician donned what is either a coat dress or dress – the amount of detail on the top half, which looks messy, makes it difficult to tell.

However, the fishtail shape of the skirt looks extremely good on the singer, who also impressed with her lavender crop and natural make-up look. 

Despite showing off her extremely impressive abs, Mel C makes the worst dressed list for joining the list of celebrities who sported underwhelming ensembles.

She donned a black two-piece suit with a black bandeau top, and her hair pulled into a high ponytail. 

A far more daring outfit was donned by television personality Olivia Attwood, who paired an oversized cream blazer with a lace bodysuit.

Shaznay Lewis was another of the stars who was among the worst dressed list.

The musician donned a maxi-dress made from black sequinned fabric, with a high neck and long sleeves.

The sheer amount of fabric drowned the star, who paired the look with the natural but appropriate make-up look, but an underwhelming down hair ‘do.  

English television presenter and entrepreneur Will Best donned an unusual emsemble.

He opted for a knitted black sleeveless jumper with a white abstract decoration.

He paired it with plain black trousers and patent loafers, creating an unusual awards look. 

Host Clara Amfo was another of the attendees to join the worst dressed stars.

While the host should be complimented for the rich green satin of her frock, her mullet-style gown, which is short at the front and long at the back, is an unusual choice. 

Donning a maximalist look, Fleur East also made the list, donning a skintight bodysuit, with decorated gold panels, topped off with a floor-length black shawl. 

Another star who opted for a maximalist look was British singer-songwriter Griff, whose long frock mixed a range of fabrics, layers, shapes, and long sleeves, making it difficult to know where to look first.
