Some of the best and brightest of Hollywood jumped at the chance to let their hair down as they headed to the star-studded Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday.

After a night that saw Oppenheimer come out on top with seven wins, stars including Billie Eilish, Mark Ronson and even Kim Kardashian headed to the Wallis Annenberg Centre for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills.

Billie Eilish proudly posed with her gong in hand after winning Best Original Song for What Was I Made For? from Barbie.

The hitmaker couldn’t hide her beaming smile as she showed off the latest addition to her awards collection.

Director Steven Spielberg opted to shun the swanky dinner on offer for stars at the party, instead tucking into an In-N-Out burger.

While the Indiana Jones frontman did not receive any nominations at this year’s Oscars, he did act as a producer for the acclaimed musical The Colour Purple.

After taking to the stage with Ryan Gosling for his viral performance of I’m Just Ken, Mark Ronson attended the party with his wife Grace Gummer.

The loved-up pair didn’t shy away from packing on the PDA as they shared a cheeky kiss following their arrival at the party.

Ronson and Gummer began their relationship in 2020, and they became engaged the following May.

The producer was previously married to Josephine de La Baume from 2011 until 2018, and he was also formerly engaged to Rashida Jones.

The actress previously tied the knot with Tay Strathairn in 2019, although they filed for divorce just over a month after their wedding ceremony.

Mark and Grace eventually moved on with each other, and they tied the knot in August of 2021.

Oppenheimer won a whopping seven Oscars at Sunday night’s Academy Awards – while rival Barbie only won one.

Meanwhile Emma Stone led Poor Things to an impressive four including her Best Actress win and UK film The Zone Of Interest won two at the gala event held at The Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.

The historical epic directed by Christopher Nolan swept the major categories with wins for Best Actor Cillian Murphy, Best Supporting Actor Robert Downey Jr. and Nolan – with the film also winning Best Picture.

In contrast, Barbie, who memorably won against Oppenheimer in the ‘Barbenheimer’ box office showdown over the summer, walked away with just one award for Best Original Song for What Was I Made For? by Billie Eilish and Finneas McConnell.

Downey Jr. jokingly thanked his ‘terrible childhood’ as he finally won an Oscar for his portrayal of Lewis Strauss, was delighted as he took to the stage –  after host Jimmy Kimmel made a very awkward quip about his drug use.

The veteran actor – who has acted for over five decades –  took home the Academy Award over stiff competition including Sterling K. Brown, American Fiction, Robert De Niro, Killers of the Flower Moon, Ryan Gosling, Barbie, and Mark Ruffalo, Poor Things.

Oppenheimer won seven awards in total – as well as Best Actor for Cillian Murphy, Best Supporting Actor, Best Director for Christopher Nolan, and Best Picture,  it won Original Score for Ludwig Göransson – along with cinematography and achievement in film editing.

Al Pacino announced Oppenheimer as the Best Picture winner without bothering to name all the other nominees.

After the two films were released on the same day – July 21 – Barbenheimer gripped film fans who made an event out of going directly from the screening of one to the other.

Barbie was the highest-grossing movie of the year on both the domestic ($636.2 million) and worldwide ($1.445 billion) box office charts.

Oppenheimer took fifth place ($326.1 million) on the domestic box office charts and third place ($957.8 million) on the worldwide charts.

Meanwhile Emma, 35, powered through a wardrobe malfunction as she beat out an impressive field including favorite Lily Gladstone from Killers Of The Flower Moon in addition to Annette Bening, Nyad, Sandra Huller, Anatomy of a Fall, and Carey Mulligan, Maestro.

Movies’ biggest night is just around the corner, with Hollywood’s best set at Hollywood’s Dolby Theater for the 96th Academy Awards.

The Oscars, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and honoring the biggest films, actors, actresses and directors of the past year, kick off at 7pm EST and will be streamed live on ABC.

The red carpet has already kicked off, with some stars appearing in stunning looks, and others in eyebrow-raising ensembles.

Follow us throughout the night for updates, including the best and worst looks, the most dramatic moments – including one star taking a big fall and another announcing her shock pregnancy – the winners, and more.

Barbie star Ryan Gosling makes an entrance in a sleek black look

Emily Blunt and John Krasinski are the epitome of a happy couple on the Oscars red carpet

The couple shared a tender moment as the actor whispered in the Oppenheimer star’s ear.

They were also caught looking adoringly into each other’s eyes as they both beamed.

America Ferrera channels Barbie in a dazzling pink ensemble as she shares a warm embrace with Billie Eilish

Barbie star America looked pretty pink on the carpet. Billie – who is nominated for Best Original Song for her Barbie single What Was I Made For? – opted for a black and white checked skirt and jacket.

Issa Rae shows it all in a dress with a plunging neckline, while Gabrielle Union shows off her figure in a sparkling dress as the A-list arrivals continue

Laverne Cox has an awkward red carpet encounter with deaf actress Marlee Matlin

Laverne became a hot topic of conversation on social media after she made a blunder while interviewing Marlee ahead of the show.

After asking the star, who communicates via sign language, a question, the transgender activist handed her the microphone instead of giving it to her interpreter.

Marlee handled it like a pro and quickly handed the microphone to her interpreter, but the people on X can’t stop talking about the interaction.

Ladies in black! Jamie Lee Curtis and Eva Longoria arrive on the Oscars red carpet in simple, dark dresses

As celebrities make their way to the red carpet, protesters just outside wave flags and hold signs, causing the LAPD to increase its police presence in the area.

Several groups, including Film Workers for Palestine, organized the protest because they believe Israel will attack Rafah in Gaza while the awards ceremony is taking place.

While some looked stunning on the red carpet, others missed the mark with fashion fails and sartorial nightmares.

Erika Alexander led the pack in a rather stunning dress with a simple white strapless silhouette – which would have been incredibly elegant were it not for the enormous black, purple, pink and green tutu-style skirt laced around her waist, which created a much of the simple dress design covered underneath.

Jennifer Lawrence and Emily Blunt took the stage for a final run at the Dolby Theater in LA hours before the ceremony.

The ladies dressed in casual ensembles as they rehearsed alongside a slew of other stars, including Al Pacino, Steven Spielberg, Chris Hemsworth, America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Ryan Gossling, Issa Rae, Dwane ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Anya Taylor- Joy, Lupita Nyong’o, Cynthia Erivo and Michael Keaton.

Once considered an essential men’s accessory for work and formal occasions, the classic business tie seems to have gone out of fashion in the office.

But now the garment and all its traditional variants – including the ascot, bow, bolo, zipper, tie and knit – are making a comeback in an unexpected form.

The 2024 Grammy Awards were flooded with fashionable A-listers who chose it as their statement accessory, from band Boygenius who paired a white suit and black tie to Billie Eilish who paired hers with a Barbie jacket.

In fact, the 22-year-old singer loved the tie so much that she wore it again two weeks later to the SAG Awards on Saturday, pairing it with black loose-fitting pants and a white shirt that was partially left loose toward the show. the bottom.

Even Kim Kardashian confirmed the tie’s new style status on the cover of GQ’s 2023 Men of the Year issue, eating a bag of Cheetos with her office-style ensemble.

Fashion company Ssense has even gone so far as to call 2024 the ‘year of the tie’ in light of the latest trend.

Speaking to FEMAIL, stylist Lisa Talbot revealed that the fashion world is embracing the tie as ‘worn by women as an alternative to a scarf or necklace and by men in a more relaxed way’.

“Women’s tailoring is a huge trend for SS24, and both the waistcoat and tie trends have been incorporated to complete the outfit,” she added.

‘I really like how it adds a slightly masculine touch to the look and can be worn in a very sleek, conservative way or incorporated into a creative look, including print and colour.

‘We’ve seen Prada and Hilfiger really embrace this trend and many were recently seen at the Baftas.

‘The model Sabrina Dhowre Elba arrived at the Gucci show during Milan Fashion Week in a simple white shirt, accompanied by a red skirt, leather tie and blazer, while Jenna Ortega looked beautiful in black tailoring, white shirt and a tie. ‘

Meanwhile, the film’s newest leading man, Barry Keoghan, looked chic at this year’s BAFTAs in a tie-belt outfit and a jacket adorned with sharp zippers, while Last Of Us’ Bella Ramsey looked cool in a floral suit combo and tie at the Critics Choice Awards in January.

Elsewhere, Rosamund Pike channeled effortless chic when she opted for the bow tie look in December, once again bringing office wear to the red carpet.

And the tie isn’t just becoming popular among the world’s celebrities: New York Fashion Week was filled with ties on the catwalk and in the audience.

‘Dressing up is back. We’re moving away from streetwear and going for a more polished look. It’s in the air, I can feel it,” Tommy Hilfiger said during his show at NYFW.

At the Prada menswear show in January, most models also wore ties, while Depop claims tie sales increased by 31 percent.

But conversely, ties are becoming less worn in offices due to the rise of working from home – and the trends for smart/casual business wear in place of traditional clothing.

Even the BBC is now embracing a more relaxed dress code, stating that reporters can now ditch their formal appearance.

Last year, New Financial’s William Wright shocked social media when he shared a photo of Selfridge’s depleted tie selection on sale.

Wright, using the Twitter handle @Williamw1 shared the photo after a visit to Selfridges department store, writing: ‘This is the entire tie department at Selfridges in London. The end of days is near.’

The photo showed one rack filled with a selection of colored ties in blue, green, pink and purple. A pair of striped ties and a statement Versace-style barocco tie also complete the mix.

It’s also been more than a decade since Tie Rack, which at its peak had 450 outlets, closed its doors.

Tie Rack’s miniature stores have become a fixture at train stations and airports since they were founded in 1981 by heel bar owner Roy Bishko.

The explosion of office jobs in the City of London’s financial district helped the company grow rapidly, reaching a peak of 450 stores in 1998.

But competition from internet retailers, combined with high costs, had a heavy impact on sales – and the increasing trend for casual office wear proved to be the death knell for the store.

The 2024 Screen Actors Guild Awards saw the best and biggest names in film and television descend upon the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The gathering may not have been able to be a reality months ago after a taxing 118-day strike, with came to an end on November 8.

Lily Gladstone upset A-listers Emma Stone and Margot Robbie while Oppenheimer triumphed in most of the major film categories at the 30th annual SAG Awards.

Cillian Murphy earned the Male Actor in a Leading Role gong while Robert Downey Jr. took home Male Actor in a Supporting Role.

Yet it wasn’t just the winners that made the headlines as there were plenty of emotional, hilarious, and incredible moments on stage as the stars celebrated the best films and television programmes of 2023.

Now MailOnline takes a look back at the top viral moments of the SAG Awards 2024.

Pedro Pascal was shocked – and a bit tipsy – when he won big at the 30th annual SAG Awards on Saturday

Pedro Pascal reveals he’s drunk on stage

Pedro Pascal was shocked – and a bit tipsy – when he won big at the 30th annual SAG Awards.

The star, 48, took home Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series for his role in The Last Of Us.

No doubt it was a total upset as he beat out three Succession actors including Kieran Culkin , Brian Cox, and Matthew Macfadyen who have all swept Award Season. Billy Crudup was also nominated for The Morning Show.

The Mandalorian star – who had been quaffing tequila – was just as surprised by the result as he said: ‘This is wrong, for a number of reasons. I’m a little drunk. I thought I could get drunk.’

‘I’m making a fool of myself but thank you so much for this! I’ve been in the union since 1999 so this is an incredible f*****g honor’, he continued. ‘To the nominees, all of you, I can’t remember any of your names right now.’

Pascal fought back tears thanking his family but swiftly ended his tipsy acceptance speech by joking: ‘I’m going to have a panic attack and I’m going to leave.’

After the win, Pedro told Tan France : ‘I don’t remember what I said. I just was very surprised. … Let’s YouTube it later.’

He also said he was going to make out with Keiran Culkan as his revenge against the actor following their hilarious fake feud at the Emmys, where Kiera said ‘Suck it, Pedro’ while accepting his gong.

‘He is the greatest,’ Pascal added.

Billie Eilish signs Melissa McCarthy’s face

Billie Eilish and Melissa McCarthy had a celebrity encounter that went hilariously wrong at the 2024 SAG Awards ceremony on Saturday.

After Melissa gushed about how big of a fan she was of Billie’s, the 22-year-old singer–songwriter scrawled her autograph all over the 53-year-old actress’ forehead.

The moment had viewers at home who caught the ceremony on Netflix laughing about the shocking moment, which inspired social media users to joke about Melissa’s performance as a Billie Eilish superfan.

She even revealed that she had worked with Billie’s mother – actress, teacher and musician Maggie Baird – as her improv coach when she was pregnant with the future hitmaker.

Melissa was clearly overjoyed to be sharing the stage with Billie and begged the singer to sign her dress.

‘No, I don’t want to ruin it,’ Billie replied, but the actress took it as a compliment.

‘Thank you for liking my choices,’ Melissa said. Instead, she asked Billie to sign her face, which got an enthusiastic response from her.

‘Oh, OK. I thought you were going to be like, “I don’t want to ruin your pretty face,”‘ Melissa joked.

‘I don’t care,’ Billie mumbled as she leaned in to scrawl her autograph over Melissa forehead, while hilariously putting a hand over her mouth to stop her from talking.

Some people hilariously compared the display to when Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) got a mustache and goatee drawn on her face on Friends.

‘Billie Eilish signing Melissa McCarthy’s face is the funniest thing I’ve seen in 5 decades of awards show fandom,’ gushed one user.

Devil Wears Prada reunion

The Devil Wears Prada cast members Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt thrilled fans as they reunited onstage.

The trio were tasked with presenting the best actor in a comedy series with Streep, 74, appearing on stage first by herself, telling the crowd she had forgotten her glasses and the envelope with this year’s winner.

Hathaway, 41, and Blunt, 41, then appeared and handed Streep her missing items, recreating their iconic roles as assistants to Miranda Priestly (Streep) in The Devil Wears Prada, which aired in 2006.

Streep then began presenting the award, as she asked: ‘It’s an age-old question, where does the character end, and the actor begin?’

‘Meryl and Miranda Priestly are sort of like twins,’ Blunt quipped, which Streep quickly began denying.

‘I don’t think I’m anything like Miranda Priestly!’

‘No no. That wasn’t a question,’ Hathaway hilariously interrupted her, with a nod to one of Miranda’s most cutting lines from the film.

While Streep was trying to open the envelope Blunt quoted her character one more time, telling her: ‘By all means move at a glacial pace, you know how that thrills me.

‘It’s been almost 18-years since The Devil Wears Prada — based on the 2003 New York Times bestseller by Lauren Weisberger written about her experience as an assistant to longtime Vogue editor Anna Wintour — aired.

Idris Elba swears in front of Oprah Winfrey

Idris Elba was the first presenter of the night on stage at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

During his speech, the actor, 51, said the F-word and told the nominees that they’re allowed to swear while accepting awards thanks to the show streaming on Netflix instead of airing on television.

However, Idris told people to control themselves and joked to not say anything that they wouldn’t say in front of Oprah .

The camera then panned down to the chat show legend, before Idris cried: ‘F***! That was Oprah.’

It came just moments after Hannah Waddingham had to usher Idris out of her seat in a hilarious opening segment.

Tan France ‘awkwardly’ flirts with Pedro Pascal

Tan France has been roasted for his ‘awkward’ backstage flirting with Pedro Pascal.

The Last of Us actor, 48, joined France, 40, who was conducting interviews with the winners, after he picked up the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series award, for his role in the HBO zombie show.

After the Chilean hunk complimented the Queer Eye star’s silver hair, France responded by saying, We are not here to flirt with me, Pedro Pascal.’

‘Yes we are. What else could we be here for?’ Pascal — who shortly before shared that he was drunk while onstage — replied.

France then asked, ‘How badly are you going to rag Kieran at the afterparty tonight?’ in reference to Pascal and Succession star Kieran Culkin ‘s ongoing rivalry at award shows, but Pascal simply replied that he would ‘make out’ with Culkin instead.

‘That’ll be my revenge,’ the Mandalorian star added.

‘It’s cause you’re drunk,’ France stated, summing up the situation. ‘I would love to see this, that would make me so happy,’ he went on.

Fans quickly took to the comments to discuss the ‘awkward’ interview, with one writing, ‘Can someone tell Tan France these are the #SAGAwards and not Grindr. Bring back the commercials.’

‘These Tan France interviews are actually inflicting massive amount of psychic damage. Please stop @Netflix,’ another user asked.

‘I’m enjoying the #SAG Awards on Netflix – but the weird Tan France interviews are so awkward & uncomfortable. This is not his jam.’

Modern Family cast reunion

The star-studded 30th Annual SAG Awards proved to be a night full of reunions.

Among them was the cast of Modern Family, who got together four years after their show ended to present the prize for best comedy ensemble to the stars of The Bear.

Sofia Vergara, 51, sizzled in a red hot gown as she joined former co-stars Ed O’Neill, 77, Ty Burrell , 56, Julie Bowen , 53, Eric Stonestreet, 52, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson, 48, onstage.

At one point Vergara plugged her new Netflix series Griselda, but got scolded as Stonestreet quipped, ‘Jesse, pay up. I told you she’d mention it in the first 10 seconds.’

Meanwhile her co-star Julie had a hilarious moment of her own as she got distracted by Barbie star Ryan Gosling in the audience.

It all started while they were presenting the award, which their ABC show won four previous times, and Burrell reflected on their series, saying, ‘This really brings back memories.’

‘You guys ever miss it?’ Burrell asked his former costars.

His on-screen daughter Bowen replied: ‘Oh, hell yeah, but of course we had a great time, 11 seasons, 250 episodes. Come on.’

She then got distracted by Gosling, as she giggled and pointed at him in the crowd: ‘It’s Ryan Gosling . I’m sorry,’ before catching her train of thought, ‘250 episodes, it never happens.’

‘It’s happened twice to me,’ replied O’Neill, who starred as Al Bundy on the 1987-97 Fox comedy Married…With Children.

Billie Eilish embraced her preppy side in a stylish outfit alongside her dapper brother, Finneas O’Connell, as they attended the 30th Annual SAG Awards in L.A. on Saturday.

The Ocean Eyes singer, 22 – who hilariously signed Melissa McCarthy’s face while on stage at the event – joined other celebrities at the Shrine Auditorium, including Margot Robbie and Jennifer Aniston.

The performer donned a pair of black, loose-fitting trousers as well as a white shirt that was left partially unfastened towards the bottom.

She layered the look with a sheer, tan-colored vest that contained a red trim and added a black tie for a finishing touch.

Eilish slipped into a pair of black socks as well as closed-toed, black shoes that were secured with thin straps on top.

Her dark locks were swept up into a chic up do, allowing her side bangs to gently fall into her forehead.

Billie opted for minimal accessories, and donned a pair of dangly, contrasting earrings but no other pieces of flashy jewelry.

The star’s makeup was classically done for the festivities, and comprised of a layer of mascara to her lashes as well as a light pink blush on her cheekbones.

For a finishing touch, the songstress also wore a glossy tint on her lips which was bordered by a darker lipliner.

The moment had viewers at home who caught the ceremony on Netflix laughing about the shocking moment, which inspired social media users to joke about Melissa’s performance as a Billie Eilish superfan.

She even revealed that she had worked with Billie’s mother as her improv coach when she was pregnant with the future hitmaker.

Melissa was clearly overjoyed to be sharing the stage with Billie, but after the songstress said that it was nice to meet her, the Bridesmaids actress corrected her, saying they had met multiple times, including years earlier – before she was even born.

‘We’ve actually met before, but it’s OK, it doesn’t matter,’ she said.

‘I mean, why would you remember that? You shouldn’t remember… We’ve meet twice, actually we’ve met thrice. You’ve met my daughters and one of my dogs,’ she joked.

‘Fun fact, since you’re asking, I also met you originally in utero because your mom was my first improv teacher,’ Melissa revealed. ‘And guess who she was pregnant with? It was you.’

‘Wow… that’s… a lot,’ Billie replied in perfect deadpan. Melissa continued to fangirl by begging the singer to sign her dress.

Bryce Hall slammed Billie Eilish for what he described as elitism after a clip surfaced of the Grammy-winning artist in which she appeared annoyed by the presence of TikTok stars at Sunday's People's Choice Awards.

In a clip circulating online, the singer-songwriter, 22, had been talking to fellow singer Kylie Minogue, 55, when she appeared to utter the words: 'I'm like, there's some here… TikTokers .'

On Monday, Hall, a 24-year-old TikTok influencer, took to the platform to respond to the perceived slights resulting from Sunday's event at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.

“I'm just going to talk about this clip of Billie Eilish being disgusted by TikTokers who were at the People's Choice,” he said. “I was one of them.”

The Ellicott City, Maryland native continued, “First of all, Billie Eilish, I am so sorry for not recognizing your greatness and bowing to the fact that you are a different person.”

TikTok star Bryce Hall, 24, slammed Billie Eilish, 22, for what he described as elitism after a clip of the Grammy-winning artist surfaced in which she appeared annoyed by the presence of TikTok stars at the People's Choice Awards of Sunday at Santa's. Monica, California

Hall literally bowed to honor Eilish, adding, “There, there it is,” before revealing that the awards show organizers had contacted him and his fellow influencers.

“People's Choice personally invited us,” Hall said. “Everyone who attended People's Choice and sat at those tables, we were invited by People's Choice. So hate them.”

A number of prominent TikTok personalities attended the Southern California event, such as Tana Mongeau, Gigi Gorgeous, James Charles, Chris Olsen and Alix Earle.

Hall wrapped things up in his clip by saying that the “saddest thing” about the story was that he was a huge fan of the singer and her work.

Hall then wrote on Twitter: “This is my formal apology for the recent drama in my response to Billie Eilish.”

The tweet contained the words “I'm sorry,” written in the Notepad app.

Eilish kicked off Sunday's broadcast on NBC when she won TV Performance of the Year honors for her work on Swarm.

Eilish was nominated for her role as Eva in the Prime miniseries against a group that included Meryl Streep, Ayo Edebiri, Matt Bomer, Adjoa Andoh, Storm Reid, Steven Yeun and Jon Hamm.

Billie Eilish was overheard speaking out about the TikTokers attending the People's Choice Awards.

In a video circulating online, the singer had some things to say about the presence of influencers at the show while speaking to Kylie Minogue.

Billie, 22, was heard telling Kylie, 55: “I think there are some… TikTokers here.”

Just as Billie said the word “TikTokers,” she covered the side of her face, seemingly in an attempt to avoid being overheard, before gesturing to something behind her.

Fans interpreted her comments as a disapproval of the TikTokers, with many agreeing with her apparent objection to their presence: “Billie shading the scourge of the internet makes me like her even more,” one person wrote.

“lol I couldn't make it with acting so I'm cooking on TikTok but I'm here with Billie,” someone added with a laughing crying emoji.

“Tiktokers everywhere like a plague,” wrote another.

“There are actually some talented tiktokers out there but I don't know why they invite the bad ones lmaoo,” another posted.

“And she's right, because TikTokers are not celebrities and don't belong at award shows. They make them cheaper,” one person posted.

Billie took home the award for TV Performance of the Year for her role as cult leader Eva in the Prime miniseries Swarm.

She had to compete for the award against notable figures such as Meryl Streep, Ayo Edebiri and Jon Hamm.

“Wow, that was crazy to see,” Eilish said in her acceptance speech. “That was so crazy to see all those names and then mine, and I'm here. This is a fan vote, and I just want to say how grateful, lucky, and privileged I am for that. Thank you so much.'

She praised her collaborators on the project and gave credit to the show's creators, Donald Glover and Janine Nabers, as well as star Dominique Fishback.

In a video circulating online, the singer appeared to disapprove of the presence of influencers on the show as she spoke to Kylie Minogue during the show.

“I just want to thank Donald Glover for being my lifelong inspiration and making me the artist I am today,” Eilish began.

'I owe that whole experience to her. She deserves this more than I do. She's incredible, she's beautiful, she's talented, she should be cast in everything forever.”

She concluded the speech by thanking her mother for being her acting coach and the people who voted for her.

Swarm debuted early last year and earned Fishback both praise and an Emmy nomination for her outstanding performance.

The storyline revolves around an obsessed fan Dre (Fishback) who resorts to murderous extremes to protect the reputation of her beloved pop star.

Eilish portrayed Eva, a subtly manipulative cult leader within an all-female group, who ensnared Dre under the pretext of “female empowerment.”

Billie previously said the show's exploration of toxic fandom resonated with her because she's experienced it in real life as a global pop star.

“That fan passion is so real, and it's so beautiful, but it's also very scary,” she said Variety in June 2023. 'And I think the show is a metaphor for this power – how people really go into this delusion of, “She's going to see me and we're going to be best friends!”

“Fans really are so powerful, and I think maybe they don't realize how powerful they are.”

The Oscar winner revealed that she wanted to try acting even before the opportunity with Swarm came along.

Despite both her parents, Maggie Baird and Patrick O'Connell, being actors, she initially suppressed the pursuit and considered herself “very bad” at it, according to Variety.

It wasn't until Glover personally approached her about the role of Eva that she reconsidered and embraced the opportunity to explore acting. Eilish was also in the running for Pop Star of the Year, which went to Taylor Swift.
