The best part of a vacation is often checking into a chic hotel and making the most of the blissful surroundings you can call home for the week ahead.

But sometimes resorts don’t look quite the same as in the brochure.

Although disappointing, the bizarre things spotted in hotels can often be funny.

In a nice gallery, Bored Panda has collected images of disgruntled vacationers around the world who were unhappy with their less-than-luxury digs.

From bizarrely placed window fixtures to illegible safety signs, these hotels need drastic improvements.

The gallery also includes a photo of a bath filled with brown water and a swimming pool with an eerily small entrance.

A MAN has revealed how he is cruelly trolled for having a beautiful partner and even compared to “fermented mayonnaise”.

They shared how people have cruelly said Ryley is ‘horrible’.

The husband was unimpressed by the bullying comments and joked: ‘I’m ugly. I’m a troll. I’m Benjamin Franklin. I’m on the hunter. Thank you.

“Um, someone called me fermented mayonnaise. I’m not going to lie, that’s so smart.”

Drachel joked: “That was one of our favourites.”

They also shared how some people report having “receding hairlines” and don’t seem to be bothered by it either.

Drachel said: “We have a fairly traditional relationship. Just because we rely on our strengths or masculine and feminine energy does not mean that we are pushing gender roles onto society as a whole.

The smell is unbearable and the mess is staggering – but a top cleaner says sprucing up hoarder homes like this is the ‘most rewarding’ job she’s ever done.

Arlene Jayne Batefrom Victoria, was forced to quit her corporate job in 2019 and didn’t know where her career would take her.

“I had a bit of a nervous breakdown,” Ms Bate said.

‘I had a burnout and didn’t want to return to the corporate world.’

But eventually she found purpose in helping people who have “lost” control of their homes and have not been able to properly maintain their properties for years.

…And what it looks like after a thorough cleaning – something Ms. Bate finds satisfying

Many tend to judge hoarders unfairly – because they cannot see beyond the accumulation of dirt and waste – but Ms Bate understands that this is the symptom of a complex mental health problem.

“The general perception is that hoarders are lazy slobs, which is far from the truth,” the cleaning professional said.

Ms Bate, from Victoria, started a cleaning business after being made redundant from her corporate job and says it is the most rewarding job she has ever had

‘We’re getting thousands of comments on our social media pages with people calling them ‘filthy pigs’ and all kinds of horrible names.

“But what most people don’t realize is that hoarding is often a condition usually caused by some kind of trauma.”

Such triggers range from a death in the family to physical injury.

Mrs. Bate, running now Mrs. Muscle Cleansinghas worked hard to dismantle harmful stereotypes about hoarders and rebrand them as “hoarders” to alleviate the stigma.

Sometimes collecting is a learned behavior.

For example, Ms. Bate has had clients who grew up in a collector’s home and then became collectors because that’s the only way they can make a living.

“People don’t live this way because they want to, or because they’re lazy,” Ms. Bate said.

‘He lived with his mother and they had agreed that no matter what, he would not send her to an old people’s home. But unfortunately, she developed dementia and it became a challenge to care for her alone.

‘Eventually he decided to put his mother in an assisted living facility, and the first night she was really horrible to him. The mother was not lucid, she was not in the right state of mind – she told him that she hated him and that she would never forgive him.

‘The client went home after the argument and his mother died that same night.

“That traumatic event triggered his hoarding and he started collecting things he thought his mother would like.”

Ms Bate admitted that hoarding can be fatal.

“Hoarders live in an environment that poses a fire hazard,” she said. ‘

Many home fires are not caused by the condition of the home, but because it is messy.’

There are different types of hoarding and patients collect items for different reasons, Ms Bate said.

Sometimes it’s because they have an emotional bond. For example, the cleaners enter a house where there are a lot of baby clothes, even though the residents have no grandchildren.

“They think they’re going to have grandchildren and they want to be prepared,” she explained.

‘It’s difficult to work with the customer in those circumstances, because those things are not necessary now.

‘Then you have those who collect things that might come in handy one day, like jam jars. If someone has an empty one, he cannot throw it away because he can fill it with something in the future and give it away. There is no way to get rid of that item.”

Sometimes customers become obsessive about an item.

“They may have a can of beans, but they want to be able to see all four sides of it, so they buy three more and put them together on a shelf.”

‘We advise our customers during every step of the process. We have two people work with a client to clear out items in their home that they don’t need. Normally we carry out a large-scale emptying and then a deep, industrial cleaning.

‘Another approach is called the ‘get sh*t done’ method. We go in, take out all the trash, remove everything in the house. There is no customer intervention, we just clean until the house shines again.

“But the other form of hoarding is when you can’t clear everything out, because it causes additional trauma and can worsen the disease.”

Ms Bate also revealed it is a myth that hidden treasures are often found under piles of belongings.

‘What collectors have usually has no value. They collect cardboard boxes, old newspapers, furniture from the street, empty jars, cans of beans.’

The one thing Bate always encounters when she’s cleaning out houses are spiders.

“There aren’t always cockroaches or other insects or rodents, but there are always hundreds of spiders,” she said.

“We just worked on a house where hundreds of redbacks came running out.

‘We found dozens of nests everywhere, dark and dirty everywhere. On the back of a laundry basket, under the trash on the floor, they were literally everywhere.”

Ms Bate and her team move the spiders when they can, but that is not always possible.

Despite the hard work and difficulties, Bate revealed that she far prefers cleaning collective housing over simple household chores.

“In my opinion, domestic clients are much more demanding and are never satisfied with the work you do,” she said.

‘They are often not grateful for the hard work involved in cleaning, unlike our hoarders.

‘Now I know we provide a service that allows customers to make a huge positive change in their lives. You don’t get the same satisfaction from working as a domestic helper.

‘I like that we provide an environment where clients can move from a life of chaos to a life of peace and tranquility. Hopefully the transition in their home will allow them to incorporate that into the challenges they encounter in their daily lives.”

Shoppers are crying as a discount supermarket confirms the closure of a key site ahead of demolition.

Lidl will close its supermarket on Whistleberry Road in Blantyre this weekend.

The branch will close from 10pm on Saturday March 16 to clear the site for demolition.

It’s not all bad news though, as Lidl has confirmed it is investing to bring a bigger and better supermarket to the area.

Construction work on the new store is expected to start soon and last a year, with reopening expected before Easter 2025.

One customer responded to the news on Facebook, saying: “That parking lot is horrible.

“I hurt my ankle trying to push the trolley and avoid the potholes.”

Another said: “So that’s why when I was in the other day they all had bu**er.”

“I’m looking forward to the new store… I’m so happy for all the friendly staff who are being relocated while the new store is under construction,” said a third customer.

In the meantime, customers can access other stores in the area on Bothwell Road, Uddingston and Muir Street, Hamilton.

How can I save on my supermarket shopping?

Lidl says only a small number will eventually be developed and opened as stores.

But the retailer has confirmed a new target of 1,100 stores by the end of 2025, creating 4,000 new jobs.

The chain is looking for more than 1.5 hectares for standalone stores and up to 4 hectares for mixed-use locations.

The locations must offer space for 18,000 and 26,500 square meters and 100 special parking spaces.

The TikToker often uses her account to share useful cleaning tips and tricks.

Her videos are very popular among social media users and she has amassed 444,000 followers on the video sharing platform.

In the video, Sash showed viewers the wall of her college bedroom, which was covered in black mold.

To get rid of the fungus, Sash took three simple ones steps.

First, she opened her bedroom window and placed an indoor dehumidifier on the windowsill.

Interior dehumidifiers help prevent mold and mildew in your home.

Plus they're extremely cheap and you can get a pack of 10 from Amazon for just £7.99.

She then took some Astonish mold and midwort spray and sprayed a generous amount on the affected area.

Then she wet a cheap cloth and wiped the wall with it.

“I can't afford to have this running all the time, but turning it on for a few minutes can make a big difference,” she said.

By the end of the video, Sash's walls were clean and dry, without a trace of mold.

SMOKING residents living next to a sex toy factory are taking action after complaining of horrible noises at 4am.

Lovehoney in Bath has been forced to apply for retrospective planning permission for four heat pumps it has installed in its warehouse.

The company, which specializes in sex toys, lingerie, bondage kits and condoms, was founded in Bath in 2002.

It grew quickly and moved to a warehouse the following year.

But disgruntled locals are now angry for turning on the pumps at 4am every day.

Planning documents show they were measured at 16 decibels louder than background noise.

A noise impact assessment, carried out by acoustic consultant Chris Parker-Jones, has now found that the offending units should be housed in acoustic enclosures.

In his report he added: “It is understood that some of the surrounding properties have complained about the noise levels to Bath and North East Somerset Council, who have subsequently demanded this NIA be produced.”

He said the required level of reduction cannot be achieved by simply moving them, switching to a quieter alternative or putting a barrier or fence around them.

He added: “The applicant should therefore seek to rehouse the offending units within an acoustic fence(s), and submit updated plans and a data sheet to the local planning authority of the fence manufacturer, which verifies that it will minimize noise emissions can reduce. of 16 dB.”

Gary Box from Lovehoney said the application was to install a heating and cooling system replacing a temporary gas boiler and electric chiller.

He wrote: “The units are self-contained, government-approved air source heat pumps.

“This has been installed to reduce both our energy consumption and our carbon footprint.

“This has also been done to make Lovehoney a more sustainable company.

“By doing this we have eliminated gas consumption to no longer use fossil fuels.”

A decision on the application will be made by Bath and North East Somerset Council at a later date.

3) Save recordings. If your neighbors don't listen to your concerns, document the times when they are disruptive. This is important if you need to make a complaint to your local authority.

4) Consider sound insulation. Simple soundproofing can often make a bad situation a little more bearable. From using rugs, carpets and upholstery to absorb sound to installing specialist tiles in ceilings and partitions, there are many affordable options available.

5) Don't take revenge. Never let frustration get the better of you. Sometimes it feels like the only way to solve the problem is to retaliate and play loud music or be disruptive in some other way. But this will only escalate the problem and will work against you later.

6) Seek legal help. If you cannot resolve the situation yourself, first file a complaint with your municipality. If this does not help, seek legal help.

The glamor model, 37, is expecting her first child with her husband, actor Oliver Mellor, 42, after experiencing horrific battles during their baby journey, which led to eight grueling rounds of fertility treatment over the course of five years.

In an interview with The Sun last week, Rhian revealed she used her £1,000-a-day earnings from the X-rated subscription site to fund the eye-watering in-vitro fertilization the couple underwent for half a decade.

Days later, she revealed on Instagram that she had been attacked over the comments, admitting that she had received “sickening and horrible messages.”

Rhian delightedly said: ‘I can’t express how happy, grateful and amazing I feel to finally have a baby on board,’ but replied: ‘I just want to say f**k all you negative people. It’s my life, my body, my money and I’ll do whatever I want with the money I’ve earned.’

Rhian appeared on a recent episode of the now defunct show Steph’s Packed Lunch, appearing in the studio, while Oliver came from home to talk to Steph McGovern about their long struggle to have a baby.

‘Thank you to the majority of you who have been so supportive of me! It really means the world x’.

Income aside, Rhian also admitted that she is still very unsure about whether she will continue OnlyFans once their baby arrives. She said that despite the “good money,” she feels like she isn’t sure how she will feel once her baby is born.

It comes after Rhian revealed she has been having a private scan every week because it ‘still doesn’t feel real’ that she is 18 weeks pregnant.

Rhian said: ‘I don’t know how I feel to be honest, it still doesn’t feel real. After believing for a long time that it wouldn’t happen, it finally happened. I’m just really overwhelmed by it right now.

‘I have scans every week because there’s a local clinic, so I keep popping in to check everything’s still OK and that it’s still there.’ We always knew [having children] was planned and you actually expect to become pregnant. You get married and then you try to have children, and then it just happens.

“All those years before you tried not to get pregnant, and when it comes down to it, it just doesn’t happen. So we went for the tests. Oliver was told he had donor worthy sperm and it was me who had the problem, I was in perimenopause.

‘I had no idea because my periods were regular so I had no idea anything could be so wrong.’

The couple, who are expecting their child on May 4, admitted that they sometimes feared they would never be able to get pregnant.

Rhian struggled to conceive due to her low egg count and perimenopausal hormone levels, and was only given a three percent chance of conceiving naturally.

The former Celebrity Big Brother star spoke about her ‘tough’ battle with her IVF treatment and explained how she discovered the happy news the day she planned to give it up.

She added: ‘The first round was NHS, it wasn’t very tailored to me. The first round was tough, just like the first four. After the first four, five, sixth and seventh, it was just part of our lives then. It just became second nature to get up, inject, take tablets.

‘It’s like PMS times 100, so poor Oliver had a lot to deal with. It’s a little blurry at first because like I said, I’m just used to it. Maybe I’m used to keeping all the hormones inside.

The influencer revealed she made up to £1,000 a day posting topless or nude photos on the site

‘Number eight was my last. You put everything aside for it. It was like throwing money on the street. We spent a fortune.

‘I was convinced it wasn’t working and I just wanted to have a drink, so I went and took a pregnancy test. I didn’t think it would be positive because all I wanted was a glass of wine in the evening and then it was positive.”

Oliver added: “There’s no denying it’s been very difficult for both of us. Rhian is putting on a bit of a brave face, I think. The emotional trauma has been heavy.

‘Physically, there’s no denying that I’ve had the easiest journey by far. I inject her with hormones and blood thinners twice a day and she takes steroids.

“I felt terrible because I felt like I was hurting her because I had to do this every day, and it just became routine. The emotional side of it, I think we’ve just become numb to it.”
