Who are Bray Wyatt’s children?

Windham Lawrence Rotunda, commonly known as Bray Wyatt, was born on May 23, 1987 in Brooksville, Florida.

The former WWE Hall of Famer left behind an incredible legacy, including four children.

Shortly after Wyatt’s death, WWE announced that all proceeds from his merchandise sales would go to his family.

The official website stated: “Following the death of Bray Wyatt, WWE will donate all net proceeds to JoJo Offerman and his children.”

The beloved dad had two daughters named Cadyn and Kendyl from his previous marriage to Samantha Rotunda.

After Bray ended the relationship, the ex-couple was able to raise their daughter in a co-parenting arrangement.

In addition to Bray’s children with Samantha, he also shared two children with his current fiancée Jojo Offerman.

The couple shared two children together.

Bray and JoJo welcomed a son named Knash Sixx on May 18, 2019.

Their daughter Hyrie Von was born the following year, on May 28, 2020.

Was Bray Wyatt married?

Bray Whyatt was previously married to Samantha Rotunda.

The mother of two is a real estate agent from Florida.

The lovebirds met in college, fell in love and eventually got married in 2012.

However, even though Bray was married to Samantha, he reportedly walked out of their marriage.

This resulted in Samatha filing for divorce in 2017.

She has since moved on with a landscape worker named Dan Pixley.

Who is Bray Wyatt’s girlfriend Jojo Offerman?

After marrying Samantha, Bray Wyatt began dating fellow WWE wrestler JoJo Offerman.

Born on March 10, 1994, Jojo is the daughter of professional baseball player Jose Offerman.

In 2013, she made her debut in the reality show Total Divas.

In addition to her career as a wrestler, she also worked as a ring announcer for WWE and previously RAW.

She and Bray Wyatt were in a long-term relationship before his heartbreaking death.

On April 28, 2022, she announced via Instagram that the two were engaged.

In a post showing off her statement ring, she wrote: “A million times YES! I love you Windham and I can’t wait to marry you (even though it feels like we already…”

Jojo will participate in the upcoming Peacock documentary Bray Wyatt: Becoming Immortal.

The documentary, which airs April 1, will take a look into Wyatt’s life and career.

When did Bray Wyatt die?

The wrestling community woke up to the devastating news of his death on August 24, 2023.

According to Fighting spiritthe superstar suffered a heart attack after a long illness.

WWE legend Triple H shared the tragic news on X, formerly known as Twitter.

In a heartbreaking statement, he claimed Bray’s death was “unexpected”.

He wrote: “I just received a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda, informing us of the tragic news that our lifelong WWE family member Windham Rotunda – aka Bray Wyatt – passed away unexpectedly earlier today .

“Our thoughts are with his family and we ask everyone to respect their privacy at this time.”

Hundreds of tributes from wrestling legends and fans poured in following the painful announcement.

Here’s how to make one for your kids – using common household items and some creativity. . .

INSIDE CAVE: If spring showers dampen your kids’ spirits, create a den in your living room.

Natalie Byrne, author and outdoor enthusiast at Millets, says: “Place chairs of varying heights around the living room with their backs facing the inside of the study, then drape some blankets, sheets or a lightweight duvet over them.

“Cover the floor with cushions, bean bags, pillows or mattress toppers. Add a string of lights and a hand-drawn sign.”

READ MORE MONEY SAVING TIPS

CAMP DOGS: Keep your dog out of your den by turning it into one of his own.

A soft blanket, their favorite toys and some treats will entice them.

Add a sign to indicate that this is strictly their space.

For more fun with your four-legged friend, see the blog at millets.co.uk.

LEAVE IT ON: If you have a garden, it won’t be long before you can camp.

Sleeping under canvas is magical for children and the addition of hot chocolate and marshmallows while watching the stars makes for a total treat.

I turned a dirty kids’ playhouse I bought on Facebook Marketplace for £40 into a cool den for my son – he loves it

Read a story together in the tent before going to bed or play a game such as Uno or Snap to give it a holiday feeling.

FLY THE FLAGS: No den is complete without a sling.

Natalie says: “All you need is a pop of color and a touch of different materials.”

Attach fabric or paper triangles to a string.

If you are using paper, punch three holes at the top of each flag and thread them through a piece of string to hang the flags.

For fabric, sew the top edge of each flag around the string or adhere it with a bead of fabric glue.

Catherine, Princess of Wales, has been diagnosed with cancer and has started preventive chemotherapy, she announced in a video message on Friday.

“It’s been an incredibly tough few months for our entire family,” Catherine said in the video. She said it took time to recover from the surgery to start treatment for her cancer. “But most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that suits them, and to reassure them that I will be fine,” she added.

Conversations like the one Catherine has had with her children are among the most important and delicate discussions parents can have, said Kathy Hirsh-Pasek, professor of psychology at Temple University and senior fellow at the Brookings Institution.

Children, especially younger children, look to their parents as a rock, she said. When something disrupts that stability — “even if it’s a manageable cancer — in a child’s ears, wow, that’s scary.”

Dr. Hirsh-Pasek recommended explaining that “there will be times when Mom doesn’t feel as good as other times, but she will be there for you, and she will be close.”

But she clarified, “I’m not saying you’re lying.” Children are very observant, Dr. Hirsh-Pasek said. “If you hide something, children know you are hiding something.”

These conversations naturally bring fear and pain to parents, says Hadley Maya, a clinical social worker at the Center for Young Onset Colorectal and Gastrointestinal Cancer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

“We try to help parents understand that having these conversations with your child in an honest way can help the child cope and give them the feeling that they are not left alone with their feelings, their concerns and their imaginations, ” she said. Often a child imagines something worse than what happens.

The word cancer “doesn’t scare them as much as it does us as adults,” added Ms. Maya, who also helps coordinate Memorial Sloan Kettering’s Talking with Children about Cancer program. “Not knowing makes them even more afraid.”

Parents may also worry that a child sees them crying. But it’s not a bad thing to show vulnerability, Dr. Hirsh-Pasek and Ms. Maya both said. It’s an opportunity for parents to show that it’s okay to feel unwell, to express emotions and ask for help.

Conversations about serious illness can be very different than they were a few years ago, Dr. Hirsh-Pasek said, because many children have lived through the coronavirus pandemic and still remember it. That does not mean that the discussions become easier, but children may be more aware of what it means to be very ill.

This also means that explaining cancer is more important than ever. Ms. Maya recommends focusing on three “C’s”: catch, cause and cancer. Explain that cancer is not contagious and that they can still hug their parents and share food. Tell children that they didn’t cause the cancer or the circumstances surrounding it (which is a common idea, especially among young children, she said). And be clear: the disease is called cancer, not “boo” or disease.

Let your child take the lead in some conversations, Ms. Maya said. Give them a chance to ask questions and recognize “that even though you may not have all the answers, you will try to figure it out and get back to them.”

In her statement, Catherine shared some of what she said to her children: “As I told them, I am doing well and growing stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal; in my mind, body and spirit.”

That kind of language reassures children, Dr. Hirsh-Pasek said, and it shows them how we can move beyond the things that are difficult.

“I wouldn’t use these kinds of occasions to discuss death and dying,” said Dr. Hirsh-Pasek. “I would use these opportunities to discuss life and living.”

Hoping to give her children a head start when they grow up, Samantha has Simon, Jonah and Asher, nine, eight and six respectively, pay “sham bills.”

Each week the children are given an allowance of $6 (£4.76), of which $1 (79p) is expected to go towards their expenses, a further $1 for groceries and a final $1 for utilities.

The children receive their money by doing chores during the week and can keep track of everything through workbooks that their mother has created.

The insurance representative of HollandMichigan, USA said: “Once a week we sit down with the boys to check our financial records, take out their workbooks and wallets and then talk about a financial literacy.

“We charge our kids rent for a few reasons. I want them to have self-control when it comes to their money and to be able to control their spending.

After years of trying to get her financial life in order, Samantha is steadfast in trying to ensure that her children are better prepared for adulthood than she is.

The 30-year-old realizes her kids are still young, so she makes sure they know they’re saving for a treat and makes it as fun as possible.

The workbook created for them is divided into six sections: earning, saving, spending, giving, investing and spending.

She uploaded a video on TikTok she showed off her parenting technique and it was viewed more than seven million times, with many parents taking the advice and doing similar things.

However, not everyone was so positive about their feedback.

Some parents have taken the comments, and sometimes her private messages, to heart to let her know that what she is doing is wrong and that she should just let her kids be kids.

One TikTok user said: “Just let kids be kids!”

While a second added: “They are way too you to do stuff like this, just leave them alone!”

Samantha did joke that her children won’t be evicted if they don’t pay rent for a month.

The negative feedback hasn’t stopped her from helping families around the world.

She said: ‘My husband and I found ourselves seriously in debt and not in good financial health.

Samantha Vogel

“It took us years to get our financial lives in order and get ourselves out of the hole we were in.

“Because of this experience, I really wanted to make sure my kids could avoid this as much as possible.

“Once a week we sit down with the boys to have our money date.

“Then we take out their workbooks and wallets, discuss a financial skill for the week and hand out their pocket money.

“They receive this for doing chores during the week, and then budget it depending on the goals they are working on.

“So many parents have told me they’re going to try it with their kids, or that they wish their own parents would teach them similar things.

“A lot of people really don’t like it and want to let my children be children. It’s been a heated debate in the comments of my videos for weeks.

“It was great to see so many parents investing in their children’s finances future.”

Seda Pir looks admiringly at the photo of her three-year-old daughter Ella on her smartphone.

People often say that they are alike, and that she wouldn’t change anything about her precious girl. Except for her runny nose, spotty upper body and flushed cheeks.

With a few clicks of Seda’s digital editing software, all of Ella’s ‘imperfections’ are gone and the image is ready for social media.

It’s so hard to take a nice photo because kids are so active and can’t sit still,” Seda, 39, explains. ‘Rather than intervening in the moment, when she’s enjoying herself by wiping her nose or changing her top, it’s just so easy to digitally erase them afterwards. I think every mother does it.’

When the Princess of Wales was criticized last week for ‘doctoring’ a Mother’s Day photo she shared on Instagram, the Mail was flooded with letters from furious mothers in her defence.

The photoshopped version with her stomach covered

Seda Pir gives her daughter Ella a thumbs up as they take a selfie. In the photo on the left her stomach is covered, but in the right version this has been concealed

Last year, a study from the Journal of Media Psychology found that 64 percent of us edit our images before posting them online. Another study found that of all the photos women share, family photos are the ones they are most likely to edit.

However, some argue that ‘perfecting’ children’s images can lead to them growing up believing that their natural appearance is not good enough, which can cause feelings of inadequacy and low self-esteem.

While removing stains from clothing may be harmless enough, altering the child’s face or body may be considered less acceptable.

So what inspires a mom to change her family snaps?

Seda, a full-time mother living in Hampshire, made a living as a fashion influencer, so admits altering images is second nature to her. She has over 10,000 photos of herself and her daughter on her phone, and even before she takes a photo, she will make the shot as flattering as possible.

“My favorite hacks include using a ring light [a circular bright white bulb]. It removes my wrinkles and any skin blemishes on Ella’s skin tone.

‘To clean up the image afterwards, FaceTune is my go-to tool. It usually only takes two or three minutes, so why not?

“When I look back at the photos, I want to remember how cute and happy she was, instead of my attention being drawn to little flaws.”

But would she continue editing images of Ella when she gets old enough to understand that her mother edits her appearance this way?

“When Ella is old enough to make her own decisions, I will probably still edit family photos, but I would check with her,” she says. “There will always be imperfections or problems that I don’t want to be the focus of the photo.”

The original photo of Iona

The edited photo

Sadie McGrath has a host of apps on her phone to get professional-looking images of daughter Iona. She edited the original photo, left, to replace her surroundings

But while some people may frown on her actions, Seda knows that if she doesn’t edit the photos, she still risks criticism.

‘I’ve had some unkind comments; one mom asked me why Ella has “droopy eyes,” and another mom wanted to know why I posted a photo with stains on Ella’s clothes.

‘Of course I blocked these people, but such unfriendliness gets under your skin.

‘I would never go so far as to change my daughter’s actual characteristics. But I find myself getting caught up, afraid that if I put up a picture of Ella with a runny nose, I’ll be told I’m a bad mother because I didn’t use a tissue before taking the picture?’

That is why Seda has every sympathy for the Princess of Wales. ‘If I feel like I’m being judged and put under the microscope, how on earth is Kate supposed to feel when the eyes of the world are on her and her children?

‘She’s just a mother like all of us, with three children who are never allowed to sit still. Their clothes will never be perfect and neither will hers. It’s no wonder she wanted to adjust the images here and there.

As long as they aren’t completely different, a little editing is fine these days. Us moms all do it, so why on earth can’t Kate?’

Supporter Sadie McGrath, 34, is another mother who strongly supports our future queen.

The mother-of-four – who lives in Birmingham with her 15-year-old daughter, 12-year-old son and younger daughters, Sofia, four, and Iona, two – started digitally altering her images two years ago. ‘When I had Iona, I became a representative of a company that makes environmentally friendly cloth diapers. I started posting pictures of her wearing them on Instagram and got a discount if my pictures led to sales.

‘Of course I wanted my photos to be the best they could be, so I started looking at what other mums were doing online. I soon started experimenting with using editing tools.

The original statue of Leo

The edited photo where his eczema was removed

Agatha Wrzesinska uses photo editing tools to cover up the eczema spot on the left in the photo of her sleeping five-month-old son Leo

‘I have a multitude of apps on my phone, including Lightroom and Photoroom. The basic packages are free and are all I need for the type of editing I do.

‘I soon realized that I enjoyed photoshopping the children’s photos to make them look nicer.

‘My favorite thing to do is take a photo of my girls at home, and then edit each photo to make it look like they are somewhere much more exciting or glamorous.

‘Why a boring photo of Sofia on the stairs, or Iona in our lounge in a dreary old age, when they could be sitting in an ambitious luxury kitchen with the sun streaming in, or next to a lavish Christmas tree?

‘I imagine most people would assume I took the photos in my own home. I don’t think they’d be jealous of the fancy kitchen backdrop, but you never know.’

It is a process that can be completed in just 20 minutes.

“Family and friends post photos with messy backgrounds and their kids captured just like they do on Facebook, and I’m the last person to judge anyone.

‘But you just have to have striking images on Instagram; there’s no room for a pile of laundry in the background, as much as that is the reality for most of us moms.”

It’s not just the background that gets a touch of glossy shine, though. Sadie’s children also get a shine.

‘Sofia has eczema so I’m going to digitally erase it from her skin, or if there’s a blob of food on her upper body, I’m going to take it off. I also gave my eldest daughter a smile and made myself look slimmer.

After Kate was criticized last week for 'doctoring' a Mother's Day photo, the Mail was flooded with letters from furious mums writing in her defense

‘The girls enjoy being photographed. Sofia understands that I am manipulating the images, and she will say ‘wow’ when I show her what I have done.

‘And the responses I get are intoxicating, like “beautiful photos” and “she’s cute.” As indulgent as it sounds, nice compliments like that make it all worth it.”

It explains why Sadie, who has nearly 28,000 images on her phone, goes to such lengths to get the “perfect” photo.

‘When we are at home, I usually take pictures while the children are reading; when we’re out, we’ll go to a local park. I always check the weather! Spring is ideal with the long grass, trees and flowers in bloom. It means I don’t have to edit the background.

‘My sister asks me to take pictures of her children and if I can adjust her images for her too.’

As for Sadie’s older children, she admits that they are “harder to photograph now; they don’t really want their picture taken.” But that doesn’t stop her from “also changing the light or color in images of it.”

This makes perfect sense to Agatha Wrzesinska, 34, a stay-at-home mother living in Edinburgh with her four children, Nico, 13; David, ten; Mia, two and Leo, five months.

She has been interested in photography since her early twenties and mainly uses a second-hand Canon RP camera, which cost her £700 (a £300 Canon PowerShot G12 is the Princess of Wales’s camera of choice).

‘Like the Princess of Wales, I enjoy capturing those precious moments of family life in my spare time. So many experiences are blink-and-you’ll-miss-it, and our memories can only hold so much. I like to play with colors and make my photos as attractive as possible. For me it is an outlet for creative expression.

On a more practical level, I can remove all unwanted distractions from photos: from red eyes to ugly objects in the background.

‘People usually don’t notice; we are all so used to manipulated images that it is the norm these days. It’s been happening in the advertising world for decades: why shouldn’t we moms do the same?

‘I use Lightroom to smooth out discolored skin patches on my children’s faces. Leo has eczema and I tend to just get rid of it. I want my children to look their best.

‘There is no need for me to defend my actions. I just remove the dry skin from my child’s face or clear up the background. It’s hardly a criminal offense, right?’

As for the issue of posting a photo online that hasn’t been digitally enhanced in some way, it’s a firm ‘no’ from Agatha.

“It’s rare that you capture an image that can’t be improved,” she says. “In a heartbeat, I’d say 99 percent of my photos of my family have been digitally manipulated in some way.

‘Can you blame us mothers for sprinkling a little bit of digital fairy dust on our loved ones? If it makes the images better, you’d be crazy not to do that.’

A mother has revealed the horrific moment she suffered a wardrobe malfunction at a water park and her son was to blame.

Courtney Ryrie is originally from Scotland but now lives in Florida and has two young sons, Kolsyn and Hudsyn.

The mom regularly shares parenting tips and her family life on TikTok (@Schotsecourt) where she has almost 21,000 followers.

In a recent video, she talked about a family trip to a water park that ended in disaster when her son ripped her bikini top.

She said: “There is nothing more humbling than being a toddler mum.

“My son just introduced me to all of Aquatica [water park] by taking off my bikini top while carrying his float.

“I was terrified.”

She added: “Such a love-hate relationship with your children, which everyone disagrees with, is lying.

“You’ll love them anyway before anyone comes for me.”

And other mothers immediately sympathized with Courtney, admitting they feared it would happen to them too.

One said: “Omg nooooo. Be grateful that no one knew you. I’m glad I didn’t have that experience.”

A second wrote: “My boy is only eight months old but I’m already dreading it, I know it’s coming.”

I thought I was defeated in my work clothes, but realized my mistake when I sat down – I had T-Rex arms for the rest of the night

Meanwhile, a third chimed in: “OH NOOOOOO. Why do kids do the things they do.”

It comes after Courtney challenged haters to ‘come at her’ over her outfits as she insisted she wore what she wanted.

She spoke about her fashion choices and urged other parents not to change their style just because they have children.

Modeling a crop top and shorts in the clip, she said: “I personally think it doesn’t matter that you’re a mother, you should be able to wear whatever you want.

“It’s your body, so your choice.”

Most parents are constantly looking for creative ways to make their lives easier while keeping their children happy.

And now mums and dads from all over the world have shared their genius tips online – and Bored Panda collected a selection of the best examples in a gallery.

They include a creative idea to place a half smiley face on each pair of children’s shoes so they can match the image to ensure they are on the right foot.

Elsewhere, in Shanghai, a father gave his son three toothbrushes and two toothpastes so he could choose which one to use, giving him a false sense of control over brushing his teeth.

Another impressive idea came from a mother who uses the ‘loudest crunch competition’ to get her kids to eat vegetables, allowing them to ‘choose their vegetable weapon’ to bite into.

Elsewhere, a mother in France found the perfect way to hide Ben & Jerry’s ice cream for her children in the freezer.

She simply placed the containers in empty produce packets, knowing they would never be raided.

A MAJOR toy store with more than 100 stores is giving parents the chance to grab a free Easter egg for their children.

The Easter weekend is fast approaching and eggs are flying off the shelves, many of which can now no longer be ordered online.

1

Smyths is to offer children the chance to grab a free Easter egg

But choc fans have the chance to get their hands on a free Easter egg later this month.

Smyths Toys is hosting a nationwide Easter egg hunt at its stores nationwide, giving mums and dads the chance to bag a free gift.

Kids can get a free Barbie or Hot Wheels egg on Saturday, March 30 if they participate in the event.

One egg will be provided per participating child.

The hunt starts at 9 a.m. and continues while supplies last.

Children are given a clue sheet to follow in the shop, and upon completion they receive a free Easter egg.

Customers cannot register for the event in advance.

Instead, they must show up on the day itself.

This may mean that there are queues to get in. So be prepared for this in advance.

And keep in mind that the event can only take place while supplies last, so if you go later in the day, there may not be any free eggs left.

Irish supermarket cuts price of major Cadbury bargains to just 99p

Smyths has over 100 stores in the UK and you can find the nearest one using the search function on the website.

The event takes place every year and last year children had the chance to win free Lego and Disney Mini Brands.

The chain also hosts a major Lego giveaway every year.

In 2019, the giveaway was in honor of the new Star Wars and Marvel Avengers sets.

It also coincided with the brand’s latest Harry Potter Lego, including Knight Bus, Hogwarts Clock Tower and the Triwizard Tournament set.

This year, mobile phone provider Three is offering customers a one-off chance to get a free Cadbury creme egg from WHSmith before April 7.

But there are only 23,000 to redeem and they are going on a first come, first served basis.

Customers simply need to download a barcode via the Three+ app on their phone and then scan it in store.

Meanwhile, The Sun has revealed the cheapest time to buy Easter eggs and when you can get huge discounts.

How can I save on my supermarket shopping?

There are plenty of ways to save money at your grocery store.

You can look for yellow or red stickers on products, which indicate when they are discounted.

If the food is fresh, eat it quickly or freeze it for another time.

Making a list should also save you money because you’ll be less likely to make hasty purchases when you go to the grocery store.

Choosing your own brand can be an easy way to save hundreds of dollars a year on your food bill, too.

This means ditching the ‘best’ or ‘luxury’ products and instead opting for ‘own’ or value-for-money lines.

Many supermarkets have shaky fruit and vegetable programs where you can get cheap prices if they are misshapen or imperfect.

For example, Lidl runs its Waste Not scheme, offering 5kg boxes of fruit and vegetables for just £1.50.

If you’re on a low income and a parent, you could potentially get up to £442 a year in Healthy Start vouchers, which you can also use at the supermarket.

In addition, many municipalities offer supermarket vouchers as part of the Household Support Fund.

As I took my seat at a women’s networking luncheon, it quickly became apparent that the guests at my table more than matched the cost of the event.

There was the corporate lawyer in a sharply tailored suit; the top bank manager with a scary haircut; the woman who ran a recruiting firm and placed people in six-figure salary jobs, and another who did something inexplicably complex in the tech sector: a formidable group of women making great strides in their professional lives.

So, given the origins of my fellow diners, you might imagine that the possibilities for absorbing conversations about, say, politics, work, travel or books would be limitless. But when the waiters poured glasses of crisp Chablis and offered hors d’oeuvres with round smoked salmon, it quickly became clear that there would be no side dish to accompany a lively conversation.

Not because these women didn’t have a lot to say. Quite the opposite. In fact, they didn’t keep their mouths shut. The problem was that all these well-groomed, accomplished career women were all focused on one topic: their children.

A good conversation between intelligent, committed women should be child’s play, and not about it, writes Angela Epstein

The barrister to my right gave a particularly bleak account of her daughter’s problems choosing GCSE subjects.

Meanwhile, the tech guru to my left was blabbering on about how her son – ‘he’s very smart’ – was preparing for a Duke of Edinburgh Award.

They just kept going, no detail was too nonsensical or boring to remove from their monologues, so any idea of making new business contacts (my whole reason for attending) was shot to pieces. All I left with was a steaming pile of parental anecdotes.

Not that this was an isolated incident by any means. I’ve lost count of the times I’ve found myself among groups of women—at dinner parties, work dates, or social gatherings—who have found themselves unable to talk about anything other than their children.

They are self-absorbed and puffed up by the certainty that their children’s every breath is making headlines, and they have no idea how to take their conversation beyond the confines of their children’s lives. Don’t they worry about the cost of living, the Oscars or the upcoming elections in the US and Britain?

Now I have nothing against children; I am truly blessed to have four of my own children. I adore their bones, and as their mother, I am absolutely captivated by their daily lives.

Yet I am acutely aware that while all this is a source of endless fascination and pride for me, the outside world is not equally fascinated. Unfortunately, many women do not understand this.

In this age of groundbreaking female achievement, how did it get to this point? Have we forgotten that we had to break the glass ceiling, fight for elections and fight for equal pay?

So if you're one of those women who thinks everyone is fascinated by your child, take it from me – they're not, writes Angela (stock image)

So if you’re one of those women who thinks everyone is fascinated by your child, take it from me – they’re not, writes Angela (stock image)

Do you really imagine men indulging in introspective conversations about their children while strolling the golf course or networking over a beer? Of course not. They enjoy the freedom of their child-free free time.

One woman, high up in the financial world, has the gift of always directing conversations back to her children. She recently managed to hijack an impassioned group chat about whether Trump could become US president for a second time into an exhausting monologue about her son’s first trip to New York. Who cares?

Is there a way to capitalize on these often brain-numbing scenarios? Believe me, I tried it. I remember at a birthday lunch, encouraged by a G&T on an empty stomach, declaring that all talk of children should be banned.

“It’s boring, boring, boring,” I stormed. “Do you really think that when our children get together, they waste time talking about their parents? So why on earth are we doing the same thing?’

It worked – for a while. By the time dessert arrived, like dieters, they fell off the wagon and back into the world of school uniforms, exams and college applications.

On another occasion, in almost absolute desperation from boredom, I found myself declaring, “Is anyone else using the bobbin here?” I’m sure it’s time for mine to come out.” Getting the other women away from the obsessive, child-oriented chatter was the first thing I could think of.

So if you’re one of those women who thinks everyone is fascinated by your child, take it from me: they’re not. A good conversation between intelligent, committed women should be as simple as child’s play, and not about it.

SOME Sky customers may notice a bonus benefit on their TV this week, and this is one the kids are sure to love.

It’s the latest upgrade to the broadcasting giant’s Sky Live service.

Miniacs is the latest addition to Sky LiveCredit: Heaven

Sky Live uses a camera to transform your TV, allowing you to play motion-based games, watch matches with friends remotely and do exercises that can detect where you need to improve your form.

Late last year we had the addition of Peppa Pig: Jump, which encourages children to jump, wiggle, clean and play through ten interactive episodes.

There was also Stingray Karaoke, which lets you choose from more than 70,000 songs in 25 languages, so you can determine who can bring harmony to your home – and who can’t – in a duet.

But now there is another game for kids called Miniacs.

The kart-style racing title challenges players across a series of large mini-worlds.

You can play online with anyone and directly invite your friends to join the race and compete with up to four players.

Gamers take control with a motion-controlled shaving wheel in the air.

“Great crazy fun with this racing kart style motion game,” one player wrote.

Households can also do karaoke with Sky Live

What is SkyLive?

Sky Live is an add-on service exclusive to the Sky Glass TV.

It comes in the form of a special plug-in camera that unlocks a number of features, including:

  • Motion-based games that you control with your hands
  • The ability to watch Sky channels with friends who also have Sky Live via Zoom
  • Take fitness classes that track your progress and suggest ways to improve
  • Create fun interactive cards to send to friends and family

Sky Live starts from £5 per month, paid over 48 months or £10 for 24 months – then you can keep it.

Alternatively, you can buy it outright for £242.

All prices in this article were correct at the time of writing, but may have changed since then.

Always do your own research before making a purchase.

What does Sky Live look like?

In The Sun’s review of Sky Live last year we said:

“There is no doubt that Sky is reinventing the way we watch TV, as it has done time and time again.

“But Sky Live feels like a very expensive way to go about it.

“In the end, it really depends on what/how much you can get out of it.

“If you want to do fitness and have some equipment, you can give up the gym altogether and this would save money.

“And the bigger the family, the more you get out of it, with young children no doubt enjoying the high-quality games.

“Watching sports together seems like a good idea for sports, but without friends who use Sky Glass and Sky Live, it’s of no use to me for the time being.

“Sky is in this for the long haul, already developing new games with partners and refining the technology so that it will eventually detect little things like finger movements.”
