Saif Ali Khan has been admitted to Mumbai's Kolkilaben Hospital after suffering shoulder and knee fractures

Actor Saif Ali Khan was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai on Monday, January 22. The news of his hospitalization has sent shockwaves among his extensive fan base, who are eagerly awaiting updates on his health. According to the reports, Saif has injured his knees and shoulder.

Fans and sympathizers are eagerly awaiting more information about the circumstances that led to the splits.

Saif's wife, actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, is reportedly by her husband Saif Ali Khan's side at Mumbai's Kokilaben Hospital, where the acclaimed actor is currently admitted.

More than two decades after Gladiators first aired, the hit show is coming back on the BBC with a brand new cast.  

The iconic show, which originally aired on ITV from 1992 to 2000, is making an epic return to screens with an 11-episode season later this year. 

The fearsome group includes trained rugby players, accomplished swimmers, sprinters and powerlifters as well as a former Premier League referee.

Here are the new Gladiators: 

Bionic

At a towering 6ft 6in it’s somewhat inevitable that bodybuilder Matty Campbell has been named Bionic.

As a child he used to sprint and play football, reaching Academy Level, but a car accident curtailed his professional ambitions. It was his subsequent rehabilitation that led him to finding an alternative outlet in the gym.

Despite having never previously been a regular visitor to the gym, he found that he had a natural ability and quickly started gaining muscle-mass, leading to his eventual love of bodybuilding, 

He said: ‘Never in a million years did I expect to get the call to be a Gladiator, it’s a feeling that’ll never sink in. I’m just a normal lad from Teesside! A

‘ll the training and hard work has finally paid off for me, I can’t wait to get started!’ 

Electro

Jade Packer, aka Electro, is a quick, unstoppable and the perfect mix of strength, speed and skill.

Currently working as a sports model, fitness coach and hybrid athlete, she began her journey as a sprinter. 

Her speed led to her being ranked amongst the Top 10 Fastest Runners in the UK aged 12 for 150m and she went onto to race for titles at various championships over the 100m and 200m.

Her bodybuilding journey began at the age of 18 after she discovered the sport on social media platform Instagram, and her subsequent dedication to training won her 4 x Top 3 UKBFF Placings in the Wellness Category, an invite to compete at the Arnold Classic and an IFBB Elite Pro Card by taking Gold at the English Grand Prix.

After training for only a year before her first show, she became an instant sensation and went on to represent the UK in both Barcelona and Madrid throughout her 2 seasons.

Now training in CrossFit, with a unique hybrid-style that incorporates her athletic background, she still describes running as ‘her forte.’ 

She said: ‘I hope Electro can spark an unstoppable pursuit for a new generation of athletes. I’m ready to light up the arena with a different kind of energy.’ 

Phantom

Toby Olubi, aka Phantom, was part of the Team GB Bobsleigh team and competed in the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics.

In the same season, he and his team broke the world record for the fastest ever bobsleigh at 97 mph. They also made history by bringing home Great Britain’s first-ever gold medal in the 2018 Whistler World Cup.

He has also been a sprinter a domestic level and has won the county championship for the UK men’s 60m sprints and has frequently competed in the British men’s 100m sprint Olympic qualifying championships. 

Additionally, the fitness nut has also won the title of fastest Bobsledder in the UK push championships for four consecutive years from 2015 to 2019.

He said: ‘This is a dream come true for me. I’m a 90’s kid so the Gladiators of past were my version of real life superheroes. Now I’ve got the chance to don the big “G” and be an inspirational figure myself.

‘Gladiators is all about stepping up against the odds and bringing the best version of yourself. 

‘We will be given the biggest entertainment platform to represent that ethos and I couldn’t be more proud and grateful to be a Gladiator…. Let the show begin!!’

Viper

For the past 15 years, Quang Luong, aka Viper, has dedicated his life to fitness, spending each day perfecting the art of bodybuilding.

A fitness model and practicing boxer, he’s often been cast in films in powerful roles, even appearing in a James Bond film as a gangster. Alongside his power and precision he’s looking to devour his competitors.

He said: ‘I was born to be a Gladiator. I am strong, powerful and just like a Viper I can attack with speed.’ 

Athena

A combination of brain, brawn and beauty, Karenjeet Kaur Bains gets her moniker from the Ancient Greek Goddess of War and Wisdom, Athena.

Representing Team GB, she is a winner of three Gold and two Silver Commonwealth Powerlifting medals. 

She’s also the five time All England Powerlifting Champion and five time British Powerlifting Champion and represented Great Britain at the World and European Championships.

Additionally, she holds the Guinness World Record for the “Most Bodyweight Squats in a minute”… oh, and did we mention she’s also a Chartered Accountant!

Very proud of her South Asian heritage, she makes show history as the first Sikh Gladiator and wants to inspire people of all ethnic backgrounds to achieve their full potential.

She said: ‘I represent all those from diverse and minority backgrounds, especially women, that have ever been denied the opportunity to pursue their dreams in sport. 

‘I hope I can be a role model and show the levels a female can achieve, if she is given the opportunity to follow her passion and given the wings to fly!’

Comet

A former elite gymnast, Ella-Mae Rayner moved into semi-professional in diving before embarking on a degree in Sport Science. 

At university she successfully coached and competed in University Cheerleading Championships, but it was a career changing ankle injury that led to a newfound love of the gym. 

She now trains six times a week while also working as a Fitness Model & Coach. 

She said: ‘’m absolutely thrilled to be Comet. I loved watching Gladiators growing up. I specifically remember Jet, she was an icon for me as a child and one of the reasons I become a gymnast. 

‘I can’t believe I will be following in her footsteps. It really is a dream come true.’ 

Sabre

Fierce, powerful and agile; these are the main attributes of Sabre. 

Sheli McCoy describes herself as a ‘grafter’ and trains 16-19 hours per week. 

She has competed in 5 British Weightlifting Championships events and numerous CrossFit championships all over the world and has simultaneously been Scottish champion in both sports. 

Sabre runs her own gym in Dundee, hoping to inspire future generations to reach their full fitness potential.

She has nearly 100,000 followers and loves to post videos of her workouts whether it be lifting heavy weights, doing pull ups from the bar or upside down handstands.  

She says: ‘I truly hope Sabre will inspire and empower the younger generation of strong capable females just as the gladiators I once watched inspired me to be a confident athletic women. It is Sabre’s time to shine – here come the powerful girls.’

Apollo 

With the speed of a rocket, it’s no surprise Alex Gray has earned the name Apollo.

He started his career playing rugby under 16s and moved onto the Premiership and then England 7s team. ​ He captained English Rugby teams for 16’s, 18’s and 20’s.​

He was scouted to go to NFL for his skillset, making him the first British rugby player to transfer over to the NFL. ​ 

Signed for Atlantic Falcons and then became the first international player to Captain an NFL team.​

Apollo wants to win and won’t stop until he does. Don’t be fooled by his smile and charm, if you’re in his way he’ll take you down.

Apollo says: ‘Gladiator ready?? You better believe I am!! After playing Rugby and In the NFL, the opportunity to inspire as Apollo is a dream come true. I plan on leading from the front and never giving up’.

Dynamite  

Small, explosive and dangerous, just like Dynamite, 20-year-old, Emily Steel, is the youngest Gladiator in the current line-up.

With a background in swimming competing at a national level until she was 15 years old, she’s now a full-time elite CrossFit athlete, also juggling second year studies full time at university in sport and exercise science. 

Emily boasts 7,000 Instagram followers and regularly shares snaps of herself weightlifting.  

Dynamite recently competed internationally at one of the largest fitness festivals in the world and becoming an under 23’s weightlifting British record holder.

Don’t underestimate Dynamite. She may look small, but she’ll blast into the competition and obliterate her opponents.

Dynamite says: ‘I’m too young to remember the original Gladiators, but my parents loved it and suggested I try out. Dynamite really does represent who I am and I’m excited to showcase what I can do in the games.’

Nitro 

Nitro is a team GB sprinter called Harry Aikines Aryeetey. Commonwealth and World gold medallist sprinter, Harry’s lightning fast speed and ‘ball of energy’ personality earned him the name Nitro. 

The athlete has competed at the highest level in the UK since his youth. After becoming the first athlete to win gold medals at both 100 and 200 metres at the World Youth Championships, he won 2005 BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year age 17.

Harry has gone on to win gold 4 x in the men’s 100m European Championships and at the Commonwealth Games.

His long list of achievements include: 2 x Olympian, 3 x European Champion, 2x Commonwealth Champion, 1x Commonwealth Silver Medallist, 1x European Bronze Medallist, 1x World Bronze Medallist, 1x British Champion, 2x World Youth Champion, 1x World Junior Champion.

With his incredible speed and agility, the Contenders will have their work cut out, getting past social media-star Nitro, who boasts 253,000 Instagram followers.

The fitness fanatic – who shares a two-year old daughter named Aubreé-Isla with his partner – regularly posts insights into his grueling training routine.

On taking part in the show, Nitro said: ‘Becoming a Gladiator is another great achievement!

‘A childhood dream come true! You never know what is coming in life, each day is there to be enjoyed and savouring all opportunities is a must!

‘It literally gives me energy and strength! I can’t wait to be in the arena and bring Nitro to Gladiators!’

Diamond  

Dazzling her way into the Gladiators stadium is Livi Sheldon. She is a 6ft bodybuilder, with her striking looks and indestructible natural earning her the name, Diamond.

After graduating with a degree in Sports Science, Livi took up bodybuilding, becoming a British Finalist ‘England Toned Figure’.

Her passion for sports began at age 6, when she played football for a boys football team. She eventually moved over to a girls’ team, where she became captain for many years, and went on to play for Worcester City Ladies team.

However, don’t be deceived by Diamond’s bright beauty, she is unbreakable and super strong.

On joining Gladiators, Livi said: – ‘When I was growing up I used to get picked on for being taller than everyone else.

‘Now I get to show everyone that being unique is your superpower. I can’t wait to get into the arena and take on the contenders as Diamond’

Livi – who regularly shares fitness tips on social media – is in a relationship with men’s lifestyle coach Grant Gibbs. 

Giant  

Giant is a former firefighter turned bodybuilder called Jamie Christian Johal.

Standing at 6ft 5inches, it’s no wonder he was given the name Giant. He made history by becoming one of the all-time tallest bodybuilders. 

Now he’s bringing that power into the Gladiators arena. He may look like a big, friendly giant, but don’t be fooled, he won’t be holding back when it comes to the games.

Giant said: ‘I feel like everything in life has lead me here. I’m honoured to be part of this iconic show that I watched as a child. I’ll be bringing my GIANT stature and personality so contenders better come prepared!’ 

Fire

Blazing into the Gladiators stadium like a flash is Montell Douglas. She’s fierce and will burn through the arena destroying anyone who gets in her way, earning her the name Fire. 

Former Team GB Sprinter and Olympic Bobsledder, she held the British woman’s record for fastest 100m sprint at 11.05 seconds, smashing the previous record which had stood unbeaten for 27 years.

In January 2022, Montell made sporting history to become the first female UK athlete to compete at both the Summer and Winter Olympic Games.

In 2010, Montell won Commonwealth Gold in the 4x100m relay race in Delhi – and holds a European Under-23 Silver Medal in 100m.

Montell moved into bobsledding in 2016, and the following year finished within the Top 10 at her World Cup debut. 

When competing at the Beijing Winter Olympics in 2022, Montell returned to the city where she had competed 14 years previously at the 2008 Summer Olympics.

She loves inspiring women to achieve their dreams, no matter what age, height or background they’re from.

The show claims that contenders should beware of Fire. She’s fast, unpredictable and dangerous and will ravage anyone in her path.

Fire said: ‘I’m so pleased I’ve been asked to be Fire! Being a gladiator has been a secret lifelong dream of mine. 

‘As a strong and powerful woman, I’m living proof that you can achieve your dreams, no matter what age or background, if you believe and keep pushing. I’m ready to light up the competition!’ 

Legend 

Meet Legend. Training up to six times a week in bodybuilding and powerlifting, former international athlete, Matt Morsia describes himself as a Legend – hence the name!

The former Championship bronze medal winning long and triple jumper, and silver medal winning powerlifter, loved the ‘showmanship’ of competing. 

After retiring from international competitions, he continued performing to a huge audience becoming highly successful fitness influencer and professional YouTuber – amassing over 355 million views. 

In 2020, he released his first book, ‘The 24/7 Body’. Bringing all his power and strength to the series, the contenders will not forget Legend.

He said: ‘I’ve been training like a beast for the show but realistically I didn’t need to. I could’ve spent the last two months eating doughnuts and playing Dungeons & Dragons and I’d still be better than everyone else. 

‘I’m called Legend for a reason! I can only apologise for the irreparable damage I’m about to do to the contenders. Actually, that’s a lie, I’m not sorry at all. I’m actively looking forward to it’.

Fury

Last but certainly not least, meet Fury aka Jodie Ounsley.

Jodie joined the line-up as the alter-ego name thanks to her power and passion for competition.

The professional Exeter Chiefs rugby player, 22, has been deaf from birth and wears a cochlear implant.

Announcing the news to her Instagram, Jodie wrote: ‘Ready to unleash the Fury tomorrow’.

In December 2023, Jodie broke down in tears as she tried ‘life-changing’ new technology ahead of appearing on the rebooted TV show.

She became emotional as she put on glasses which allow deaf people to ‘see’ conversations for the first time, developed by British start-up XRAI Glass.

She then told XRAI Glass’s co-founder Mitchell Feldman: ‘That’s pretty amazing… As much as I love to embrace my deafness and be positive about it, it’s a really isolating place at times.

‘You miss out on a lot and it’s a mental journey trying to lip read. Something like this could really make it so much easier.’

Steel

And finally… meet Zack George, a UK CrossFit star.

Zack eventually caught the exercise bug and soon became a devotee of CrossFit, a fitness regimen focused on performing functional movements performed at a high intensity.

He was named as champion in UK CrossFit in 2020 and will be showcasing his athleticism further on Gladiators.

Zack underwent a fitness transformation after admitting he lead an ‘unhealthy lifestyle’ in his youth. 

Prithvi Shaw is likely to miss the early stages of IPL 2024 as he recovers from a knee injury.

New Delhi: Star opening batsman Prithvi Shaw is likely to miss the early stages of the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, which starts later this year. Shaw is currently recovering from a knee injury he sustained while playing for Northamptonshire in the One-Day Cup in England.

According to a report from Cricbuzz, it is likely to take another month for Prithvi Shaw to return to competitive cricket, but that is dependent on conquering greater amounts of agility drills and acceleration. BCCI will be under increased stress over the next three weeks to see if his knee can handle the increased demands. He will also have to play a few matches before he gets the scope to participate in serious cricket.

It is believed that Shaw has performed well during his batting and fielding exercises at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), where he is currently undergoing rehabilitation. In any case, his return to action will depend on whether the injured knee has become strong enough to handle the higher volume of acceleration, change of direction and agility drills. The opener is likely to return later this year with Delhi Capitals.

As for the Delhi Capitals, they concluded the IPL Mini-Auction 2024 with exciting additions to their squad by picking Australian pacer Jhye Richardson and West Indian Shai Hope in the final rounds. DC also picked up the hard-hitting Harry Brook for INR 4 crore, along with Australian fast bowler Richardson for INR 5 crore and West Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Shai Hope for INR 75 lakh. The Delhi Capitals also picked up uncapped Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Kumar Kushagra for INR 7.2 crore.

DC went all out for Shai Hope after failing to secure South Africa's Rilee Rossouw following a bidding war with Punjab Kings. The Delhi Capitals acquired South African wicketkeeper-batsman Tristan Stubbs for INR 50 lakh.

Gerry Turner got down on one knee and proposed to Theresa Nist on Thursday’s live season finale episode of The Golden Bachelor on ABC.

‘You’re not the right person for me to live with, you are the person that I can’t live without,’ said Gerry, 72, a widow and retired restaurateur from Hudson, Indiana. ‘Theresa I love you 1,000 percent. I’m never going to stop believing that every day I choose you. Will you marry me?’

‘Yes!’ said Theresa, 70, a financial services professional from Shrewsbury, New Jersey.

‘I love you,’ said Gerry, who was the subject of a recent article that claimed he has a secret past that includes a three-year relationship after the death of his wife and various blue-collar jobs.

When Theresa arrived to meet Gerry, wearing a flowing sparkly dress and diamond earrings, host Jesse Palmer, 45, walked her to the lush mountain in Costa Rica where he was waiting. 

Gerry smiled when he saw her. Theresa said she thought she was going to live the rest of her life alone until she met him.

‘I feel like for us life isn’t over, that the best is yet to come,’ Theresa said. ‘I think you are the most wonderful man in the world. Now that I’ve found you, I don’t ever want to let you go. I want to spend the rest of my life with you.’

‘You make me the happiest woman in the world,’ Theresa said.

Gerry then handed Theresa a golden rose.

‘We’re engaged!’ Theresa and Gerry screamed.

When the show started, Gerry said that he had fallen in love with both women after overnight stays with them in the Fantasy Suites.

‘I came here on this journey hoping to find a second true love in my lifetime and how this week goes determines who I propose to: Theresa or Leslie,’ Gerry said. ‘On one hand, when I’m with Leslie, we kind of get lost in each other. It’s almost like words become unnecessary. We know what the other person is feeling.’

And then there was Theresa.

‘After our overnight, everything changed,’ Gerry said.

Gerry then met with his family, his two daughters – Jennifer and Angie – and his grandchildren, in Costa Rica to help him make his decision. He told them that he already told both women that he was in love with them. He asked them to meet with both women. The family met first with Theresa.

Jennifer and Angie pulled Theresa aside. Theresa told her about her first husband and losing him after kidney failure. Jennifer asked Theresa what she would do if Gerry got down on one knee if she was there at the end.

‘Yes, I’m there, absolutely,’ Theresa said. ‘We both at this age see that we don’t know how much time we have and we want to make the most of every moment.’

Jennifer said in a confessional that she would be in favor if her father proposed to Theresa.

‘I think it would be a great thing actually,’ Jennifer said. ‘I’d be really happy for him.’

Angie asked her father if the Fantasy Suite brought him any more clarity and if he ‘knocked the boots.’

‘We are not talking about that,’ Gerry said smiling.

Gerry said Theresa opened up even more when they had a chance to spend time in private.

‘The hugs were sweeter,’ Gerry said. ‘The conversation was easier. So I’m really encouraged at what you’re telling me about her and what you guys see.’

‘I just want to remind you that I love you,’ Gerry said to Theresa.

‘I love you,’ Theresa said.

Gerry and Theresa had one final date. Theresa was hopeful it was going to be her and Gerry in the end. The held hands and told stories about their past. Theresa said she was concerned because there was still another woman.

‘I still want you to be happy,’ Theresa said. ‘As hard as it would be for me, I wouldn’t want you to choose me if you weren’t 1,000 percent wanting me and overwhelmingly wanting me.’

‘It will be 1,000 percent or nothing,’ Gerry said.

‘At the end of the day one of us is going to get hurt,’ Theresa said in a confessional. ‘At this point, I don’t want to have a life without Gerry. This is extremely hard. I might be walking out of here completely broken-hearted.’

The next day, Gerry brought Leslie Fhima, 64, a fitness instructor from Golden Valley, Minnesota, to meet his family. 

Leslie told them that she made Gerry laugh and that they have always had fun together. Leslie told Gerry’s grandchildren Payton and Charlee that she was crazy about their grandfather. Payton started crying seeing how much love there was between Leslie and her grandfather.

‘I loved her,’ Payton said later. ‘We had our hearts set on Theresa and now? Like, Leslie, she’s great. I got so emotional and I think that spoke volumes to me.’

Leslie then spoke to Gerry’s daughters who told her she wanted to travel and see the world with Gerry. They asked her if she was ready for a proposal. Leslie told her the thought of it scared her because she had never had a person who wanted to commit to her fully.

‘He is the man of my dreams,’ Leslie said crying. ‘He really is.’

Gerry told his daughters that he was getting stressed about his decision and wanted to make sure it was a ‘woman that I can’t live without and it’s for the rest of my life.’

In a confessional, Gerry said that things had gotten confusing and he didn’t know how he would handle it. Leslie felt that Gerry seemed a little off and it gave her anxiety. At their final date, Leslie tried to focus on the positive.

‘I could be engaged tomorrow, which would be amazing,’ Leslie said to the camera.

Gerry apologized to her for not being himself, but said that stress had been getting to him. Gerry raised his glass and toasted to ‘us’, which put Leslie in a good mood.

‘I love this guy,’ Leslie said in a confessional. ‘He’s great. I adore him and I want to start sharing a life with him.’

Leslie gave him a scrapbook of their memories. The book had photos of them and their date card.

‘And then there are plenty of pages for more,’ Leslie said.

Gerry told her that the gift left him speechless. The two kissed and hugged.

‘I can’t imagine being without you now,’ Leslie said. ‘I love you very very much.’

‘That’s such a special sentiment,’ Gerry said.

Gerry hugged her as she cried.

‘Be happy,’ Gerry said looking at her.

‘I want you to be happy too,’ Leslie said.

‘I think it’s time for me to go,’ Gerry said.

Gerry hugged her at the door and cried.

‘Is there something you want to tell me?’ Leslie said.

Gerry shook his head no.

‘No, just that I have a tough decision to make,’ Gerry said. ‘It’s harder than I ever thought possible.’

Gerry sat down on the stairs crying. Leslie in her room was also crying.

‘I’m definitely not confident now,’ Leslie said. ‘I know why he was off today. I know exactly why.’

Gerry decided he needed to go back and talk to Leslie. Gerry told her he had made a decision about how he wanted to go about things.

‘And I have fallen in love with Theresa,’ Gerry said. ‘And that’s the direction I’m going to take.’

‘Okay,’ Leslie said. ‘So everything you told me the other night was a lie.’

‘No, it wasn’t a lie,’ Gerry said.

‘Yeah it was,’ Leslie said. ‘Everything you told the other night was a complete and utter lie, Gerry.’

‘No, because at that time that was the truth,’ Gerry said. ‘Things have changed. Things have evolved.’

Gerry told Leslie he was so sorry. Leslie cried and Gerry held her.

‘It’s typical,’ Leslie said. ‘This is my life. This is the way it always goes.’

Gerry told her not to think like that.

‘Gerry it doesn’t matter, no offense, but I can think whatever the f*** I want,’ Leslie said crying. ‘I’m heartbroken once again but now I have to di it in front of the whole world to see once again how broken I am. How no one chose me…the other night you made it sound like you chose me. You said things to me that made me think that this was going to be it.’

Leslie said it was mind-boggling to her that he could tell her he loved her and then 12-hours later change his mind. Leslie said the only good thing was that she didn’t have to put on that $60,000 dress with the diamond earrings and get on the platform and be completely embarrassed.

‘And that I thank you for,’ Leslie said.

‘I’m sorry,’ Gerry said.

‘There is nothing you can say or do that can make me feel better,’ Leslie said.

‘All right, I’ll see myself out,’ Gerry said.

‘I’m tired of putting myself out there,’ Leslie said to the camera. ‘Time is running out.’

Gerry met with Jesse and told him that he was not okay.

‘I took a really good person and f***ing broke their heart,’ Gerry said crying . ‘I hate myself and I hate everything right now. I think the only time I felt worse in my life was when my wife passed away. And this is a god**** close second.’

‘I’m sorry,’ Jesse said.

‘She’s a good person and I f***ed her over,’ Gerry said.

Leslie then joined Jesse on stage during the live show. The crowd cheered for her. Jesse asked her how she was feeling after watching the show back.

‘I was devastated,’ Leslie said.

Leslie said she had fallen in love with Gerry and that it was hard. Leslie said after the overnights that she was 100 percent certain that she was his girl. Leslie said she felt blindsided and had picked out a dress and wrote her vows. Jesse then brought out Gerry and Leslie gave him a hug.

‘I was myself with you completely,’ Leslie said. ‘I wanted to give you that till death do us part so bad.’

Leslie said she really fell in love with his integrity. Leslie said she would never share what he said in the overnights but that his words gave her a 100 percent certainty that ‘she was his girl and we were going to get engaged.’

Leslie said she was blindsided and wasn’t sure how it all suddenly changed. Gerry said he was so sorry and that he never wanted to hurt anyone. He said he got caught up in moments and that he believed she was his person until he suddenly realized she wasn’t.

‘It didn’t really go wrong, Leslie,’ Gerry said. ‘It was just better with someone else.’

‘I don’t know if I accept your apology but I understand it,’ Leslie said.

‘I had to find that one person that I couldn’t live without and I did that,’ Gerry said. ‘It was my journey and I had to see it through till the end.’

Gerry and Theresa came out to the live show holding hands. Theresa said she was nervous and wasn’t sure that Gerry was going to propose to her on the final day up until the final moment when he did. Jesse asked Gerry if something happened on the overnight date that ‘just changed everything.’

‘What I want to know is Jesse, how often do you ask your parents what happened on overnight dates?’ Gerry said. ‘Since everyone asked, there were moments in conversations that were subtle realizations.’

‘If he’s not going to tell you exactly what happened in the fantasy suite, I’ll tell you,’ Theresa said. ‘I knocked his boots off.’

Gerry laughed. Theresa said she hoped people realize that there is no age limit on love. Theresa said she now talks on the phone with Gerry each night for hours. Jesse then announced as a surprise that the show was sending them on a special vacation cruise to Italy.

‘We can use that as our honeymoon trip,’ Gerry said. ‘Because we are going to get married, we are going to do it as quickly as we can because at our age we don’t have a lot of time to waste.’

Joey Graziadei, 28, the next star of The Bachelor, was in the studio audience and provided a preview of the upcoming 28th season that will premiere in January.

Vanderpump Rules star Tom Sandoval has revealed he needs surgery after competing on season two of Fox’s Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test – admitting his knees were worn out after weeks of intense challenges.

The reality star, 40, was one of five celebrities to make it to the final, which saw Olympic skater Erin Jackson, 31, and The Bachelor stars Nick Viall, 43, and Tyler Cameron, 30, successfully complete the course.

Tom opened up about the toll the show took on his body and how it affected his mobility in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, in which he also discussed his return to Vanderpump Rules after his scandalous affair came to light.

“When I went on the show, my knees were shot,” he said of his stint in Special Forces. “They’re still getting shot, I’ll probably have to have knee surgery.

‘I’m looking at some options. Maybe I should get injections or something like that. It was absolutely brutal.

“Overall they’re not great, and there were a few days where I wasn’t very mobile after doing the show.”

In the final episode, where the recruits were captured and faced with hours of military-level interrogation, Tom and his fellow competitors were forced to stand in a cell before being questioned about a backstory they had been briefed on.

Because the cell was freezing, the celebrities were also hooded, tied up and put in stress positions – and subjected to disturbing noises.

During the brutal final exercise, the staff noted that Tom had been ‘dramatic throughout the course’, something he adamantly denies.

“I think the staff just assumed I was some kind of Olympic athlete or something,” he continued.

‘I hadn’t trained. JoJo Siwa knew she was doing the show a month earlier, so she worked with a trainer, ran with a weighted vest and broke in her boots.

“I found out I did this a few days earlier. I was lucky enough to get on the bike the five days before, to try and get my legs into some shape to handle this, because there were a lot of legs.”

Tom, much to his surprise, was ultimately eliminated from the course by an unnamed judge called the Referee, who suggested the reality star didn’t seem empathetic.

Addressing his departure, he said: “I was shocked. I had been in jail for about six hours and had only had one interview – and I knew the backstory backwards and forwards. It was really frustrating.”

Tom enlisted in Special Forces after a secret affair with his fellow Vanderpump Rules costar, Rachel Leviss, 29, came to light.

Tom was in a nine-year romance with his now ex-girlfriend, Ariana Madix, 38, at the time.

‘I felt like [Special Forces] was something I really needed in my life,” he said.

‘I had to deal with the media storm every day. About 100 stories came out every day.

“This really gave me a chance to focus on something else and I was so grateful for that.”

Tom added that he believed taking part in the show had helped improve his image.

He said, “I think it was just fun for people to see me in a different setting than Vanderpump Rules.

‘A setting that had nothing to do with participating in a salacious reality show. People saw me in a completely different environment and with different people.

“I do think people got to know a different side of me than they might have done before.”

Tom will return to screens in January 2024 for season 11 of Vanderpump Rules.

About his return, he said: ‘This was probably the hardest season I’ve ever filmed, so it’s going to be very interesting. It’s certainly a very intense season.’

Tom was the subject of a public backlash after his affair came to light, with people blocking him on Instagram and condemning him for his actions.

When asked how he is doing now, he replied: ‘I’m hanging in there. What’s that old saying: I guess what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, in a way. But I’m just keeping myself busy, man. Just look optimistically at the future and hope for the best.

‘I fought against self-loathing. I also understood that people absolutely did not like me. I knew they would enjoy seeing me get beat up [on Special Forces].’
