From Geordie Shore and TOWIE to Tinie Tempah and The Office, meet the American woman obsessed with British culture.

Podcast host Fatou, from Los Angeles, admits she grew up wanting to be from Britain, so she immersed herself in all things related to the country.

Her taste in music, TV shows she watched and even her celebrity crushes were all influenced by the British – so much so that people online are calling for her to be named an ‘honorary Briton’.

A TikTok that she posted under handle @fa2chainzwhich reveals her fascination has already been seen by more than 1.2 million people.

The American captioned the clip: ‘I’m English babes, I don’t care. I love those beans on toast, people!’

Explaining how her love for Britain began, she explained: “Okay, am I the only American who randomly decided to become British in high school?

“I was obsessed with Jersey Shore like everyone else. So as I’m watching I realize there’s a British version of the show called Geordie Shore, and I’m like, ‘Geordie Shore, what is that?’

‘Then I heard about this beautiful mystical place called Newcastle, and I thought, ‘that’s what a Geordie is!’

“While I’m watching the show, I’m listening to the theme song and in the theme song this girl says a line.”

Pulling up a clip of Geordie Shore star Holly Hagan talking about her boobs, Fatou continues: “She says, ‘This one’s called Heidi and this one’s Audrina, and every time that song comes on and it goes, ‘Heidi and Audrina are eating you heart, ‘These are the babies’.

‘I thought: what does that mean? Heidi and Audrina from The Hills, is that some kind of British slang?

“When I Google it, I see it’s from a line in a Tinie Tempah song called Pass Out. I thought: who is Tinie Tempah? I’ve never heard of him.’

‘So I played the song and I was in love, so I listened to the whole album Disc-Overy, it’s still one of my favorite albums. I was absolutely obsessed.”

The influencer admits she quickly finished every season of Geordie Shore that was available at the time and ‘needed more’.

Fatou said: ‘So I started watching all these British reality TV shows – SuperSize versus SuperSkinny, Secret Eaters, The Only Way is Essex.

‘Of course I was annoying, I would make being British my whole personality. During class I spoke with a British accent.

“People would talk about, ‘oh my celebrity crush is Justin Bieber, I love Zac Efron, and I’m like – ever heard of Peter Andre?

‘I listened to Tinie Tempah’s entire album. I started listening to Dizzee Rascal and all these other British rappers from that era.”

Laughing, she recalled, “I would be so obnoxious and obnoxious about it. People would ask, “What music do you listen to?” and I would say ‘This British girl group’.

“They were like, ‘Oh, the Spice Girls?’ and I’d say, ‘No, I listen to Girls Aloud, I listen to All Saints’.

“And don’t get me started on The Office. Once everyone was obsessed with The Office, I was more like, ‘The British version is better, the British version is much funnier.’

‘Even though I like the American version better now, it was annoying at the time.

“Every time I heard Tinie Tempah or another rapper reference something in a song, I had to Google it.

“When he said, ‘Would you take a chance on a chocolate chip cookie?’ I thought, what does that mean? Googled it.

“When he said, ‘She likes to talk, that’s why I call her Trisha,’ I thought, who is Trisha? I found out who Trisha Goddard was.”

Learning every obscure reference, the LA native became a pro when it came to British pop culture.

She continued: “Even with books I had to be annoying, do you all read Harry Potter? I’m reading Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging. I read Mates, Dates and Inflatable Bras.

‘The way Jordan, Katie Price, had a stranglehold on me. You can bet I was watching Skins and The Inbetweeners.

“It even got to the point where when I was in high school, I said I was in sixth form, getting ready for my A-levels” – I don’t even know what the hell that means.

‘To this day I still don’t even know what the GCSEs are. I haven’t gotten around to that yet.’

She hilariously concludes that the clip is revealing: ‘Imagine I’m obsessed with Britain, love Britain. I’m finally going to London for the first time in my life. I’m being held at London Gatwick Airport for eight hours, but that’s a story for another day.’

In the comments, the British could not suppress their surprise at the “impressive” amount of niche information known to American citizens.

One person from the UK wrote: ‘I’m actually crying that you went for it, like I didn’t expect Tinie Tempah, Peter Andre, Girl’s Aloud… JORDAN.’

Another wrote: ‘That was incredible. There must be a masters degree in British culture that you could do.”

Meanwhile, a third added: ‘When you started that video I didn’t expect you to actually be a Brit expert! The question is: are you making tea correctly?’

Impressed, others joked: ‘mate, you’re ALWAYS welcome here’ and ‘Petition to make you an honorary Briton’.

TikToker Macy Blackwell (@macy.blackwell) loves decorating for the holidays.

For spring 2024 she made egg candle holders.

“I’m obsessed with how cute these are,” she wrote.

“I used some plastic eggs I already had, and got the rest of the supplies from Amazon,” she continued. “So beautiful for your Easter decor.”

For your supplies you will need plastic eggs, two round wooden pieces per candle holder, dowels, glue, a drill, candles, and paint or ribbon.

Macy said the first step is to drill a hole in the top and bottom of the egg, making sure it is the same size as your dowel rod.

Then you drill a hole in the center of the wood pieces. It should be about half an inch deep, she said.

To keep the plug in place, put some glue in the hole and hold it down.

Then you can slide the eggs onto the rod, glue the top piece of wood into the hole and stick it on.

The last step is to place the candle on top, and you have the option to tie a ribbon around it.

“You can also paint the wood pieces if you want them to be a fun color,” Macy said.

A man ‘obsessed with becoming a father’ has lost almost half his body weight by eating a ‘carnivore’ diet consisting only of meat and eggs in a bid to improve his fertility.

Isaiah Caldwell, 28, from St. Louis, Missouri, weighed 434 pounds at his heaviest weight, but has now lost a whopping 210 pounds.

He started changing his lifestyle after being told his weight could cause fertility problems – and now weighs 220 pounds and feels ‘a million times better’.

Tech salesman Isaiah lost weight by exercising and following the strict carnivore diet, in which followers abandon anything that doesn’t come from an animal, leaving them with meat, eggs and dairy products.

Isaiah, who stands 6ft tall, is now happier and healthier than ever and he and his wife Amanda, 29, are still trying to have a baby.

Isaiah said: “Having a baby became an obsession of ours – we were very excited about it.

‘We started trying for a year before we started to suspect there might be some fertility issues.

“I knew if I could do anything to give us a chance, I would do it.”

Isaiah vowed to shed the pounds and immediately went on a diet, dropping all food groups except meat, eggs and dairy.

Isaiah said, “People think there’s magic in it.

‘But the reality is that you’re just eliminating overeating because it’s very difficult to eat meat – it’s very restrictive and probably not for everyone.’

Isiah lost 21 pounds after just a month by eating steak and smoked brisket – and said he was ‘blown away’.

He decided to stay on the carnivore diet for another month, losing another 18 pounds, and continued until he lost only 368 pounds.

He said: ‘I felt incredible, even a week later – psychologically I felt so much better, my brain fog was completely gone. I felt a million times better.

“But I knew I couldn’t last forever just eating meat.”

After ten months, he had lost a whopping 118 pounds after expanding his diet to include some fruits and dairy products.

Once the weight loss started to slow, Isaiah decided to look deeper into bodybuilders’ training regimens and began meticulously tracking his calorie intake.

He lost another 35 pounds, bringing his total weight loss to 140 pounds.

Isaiah then continued his calorie deficit to continue losing weight and is now around 210 pounds.

And he said, ‘If anyone thinks they might not be able to do it, they should know that I felt exactly the same way.

‘It felt impossible and hopeless, but everyone is capable of that.’

Isaiah and Amanda will have to return to the doctors in the coming months to see if his efforts have affected his fertility.

Isaiah said: ‘We are very optimistic – I will do tests, but I have increased the chances from zero to at least something

“I’m in the best shape of my life and we’re excited to find a way to be parents no matter what.”

The trend of simple food diets is becoming increasingly popular – thanks in part to social media sensations like bodybuilder Eddie Abbew, who posts videos of himself eating boiled eggs and liver.

It has also been popularized by internet personalities such as Jordan Peterson and podcast host Joe Rogan, who have touted its benefits to their army of followers.

But some experts have warned that diets that include high amounts of red meat could lead to an increased risk of a host of life-threatening diseases, including cancer, heart and kidney disease.

Meanwhile, the diet may cause participants not to get enough vitamin C, which can lead to scurvy.

Model and content creator Monique previously told the Scottish Sun how using TikTok has funded her jet-setting lifestyle.

After seeing the viral success of her fashion posts, she said: “It funded my entire lifestyle for a few years.

“But I would say TikTok is more prone to trolls than Instagram, so it was hard at first. I just try not to look at certain things. If a video goes crazy, probably 10 percent of the comments aren't that fun.

“I try to avoid it, but sometimes it's unavoidable. Sometimes I just catch it, but I try not to let it get to me because I don't know these people and they'll probably leave a comment and then it's back five seconds later.” forget.”

However, Funday Games has delivered one of the best Vampire Survivor likes yet and has clearly put a lot of thought into the project.

The team has merged many of the core elements that made Deep Rock Galactic so popular into this new genre.

Just like in the original game, you have to delve into the depths, mine precious materials and fight hordes of aliens.

Deep Rock Galactic: Survivors starts with the Scout class and there are three more to unlock.

They each come with different starting equipment, stats and weapons, so there's a lot of variety.

It's a strong start, and while people will ultimately want more lessons, it bodes well for early access.

These classes remain close to their equivalents in the original game.

The Engineer has access to turrets and drones, while the Gunner focuses on heavy weaponry.

This translates smoothly to the auto-shooter genre, and it feels great when you get the build just right.

Parts of Deep Rock Galactic trickle down to all areas of Survivors as you search for valuable materials.

Some of these will upgrade you for your current run, while others allow you to invest between runs for permanent upgrades.

There are some interesting side objectives to help you upgrade weapons and other stats, which also help add more variety.

All these little milestones make you feel like you've accomplished something, even if you don't make it to the end.

There is also a time restriction on runs, as aliens get stronger the longer you wait.

This means you have to find a balance between gathering resources and not being overwhelmed by enemies.

Mining is what sets Deep Rock Galactic: Survivors apart from the crowd, as you can customize the environment to suit your needs.

Creating corridors through which you can squeeze enemies makes it easier to take them out, but it takes time.

It adds a new layer of tactics to the gameplay that will keep you coming back for more.

We loved how Survivors translated the charm and strengths of Deep Rock Galactic into a whole new genre.

In an arena that so many people are trying to enter, this game is doing well.
