Adele has revealed she has been forced to postpone the next dates of her Las Vegas residency after illness ‘took a toll on her voice.’

Days after revealing she had been placed on vocal rest, the 35-year-old singer shared the sad news that all ten of her shows in March would be postponed to a later date after she was ordered to rest.

Adele will complete her Las Vegas residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in June and is expected to earn around £1.5million per show.

Post a statement on Instagram. Adele wrote: ‘Unfortunately I have to wait a while and pause my Vegas residency. I was sick at the end of the last stage and the whole break.

“I hadn’t quite had the chance to get back to full health before the shows resumed and now I’m sick again, and unfortunately that’s taken its toll on my voice.

‘And so, according to doctor’s orders, I have no choice but to rest thoroughly. The remaining five weeks of this stage will be postponed to a later date.

“We are already working out the details and you will receive the information as soon as possible.”

Adele listed the dates of her residency that would be postponed, including every weekend in March.

Over the weekend, Adele revealed she was taking several days of vocal rest after experiencing a scare during her Las Vegas residency.

Stressed and emotional Adele complained of voice problems, which made her sound like the cartoon villain ‘Ursula’ from The Little Mermaid.

The Londoner apologized to the crowd at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace and admitted she was worried about taking notes due to a breast problem.

However, the self-confessed motormouth, 35, will have to ‘lock herself up’ to stop talking to her gregarious son and partner Rich Paul.

Adele, who underwent surgery for polyps in her throat in 2011, expressed concerns about her performance at the start of the show on Saturday evening.

The star, who has battled cord issues in the past, admitted: ‘In the middle of last night – I’m sure you can hear it a little bit in my speaking voice and my singing voice. Your girl was tired. I didn’t sleep very well…

“And Ursula from the ocean came out of my chest tonight. I can’t hit my main notes properly. I haven’t been sleeping well and my chest is on fire. I’m sure I’ll be drinking coffee in ten days, but I’m still here.”

She added that she was happy that the crowd’s “energy” was so positive that it helped her mood.

But then she stated, “Right after this show, I’m going on vocal rest. Can you imagine how hard it is if I don’t talk for three days? So I lie in bed and cough up my intestines with complete voice rest…

‘And not only is my partner a real chatterbox, but so is my son. So I’ll have to lock myself in a cupboard or something like that.’

Adele lasted 100 minutes in her song, often drinking honey and hot water between songs.

As she welled up on stage, Adele appeared to be feeling slightly better, but acknowledged her voice problems as she ended the sold-out show: “My voice came back about four songs ago…

‘You’ve been great. The show. Thank you, thank you love, magical, magical, all from the moment it comes together. I’m so glad you had a good time. I look crazy, I feel crazy… I’m going on voice rest.’

Adele still has twenty shows in Vegas before she heads to Munich for summer stadium performances. Her last world tour, Adele Live, saw her cancel her final two shows at Wembley Stadium in 2017 due to vocal concerns.

She has also spoken in the past about trauma recovery in that region.

She underwent vocal cord surgery in October 2011 to relieve recurring bleeding caused by a benign polyp.

On stage, Adele admitted that her weekend plans to scream at her TV and sing along to Jennifer Lopez’s new film This Is Me were affected.

‘I had very concrete plans with my gay friends, they would come to my house. We were going to start a fire, maybe use a spritzer, which I clearly can’t have right now – damn. “And we sat down and watched the new JLo movie, which I was so excited about.

“B**ches f**king made other plans. They already have plans. And they left me alone.”

The fake notice claims that the NEET MDS 2024 registration will begin on Tuesday, February 25, 2024. Meanwhile, the last date to be eligible to participate in the NEET MDS 2024 is May 15, 2024, the fake notice claims. The fake circular mentions the NEET MDS 2024 registration date and the notification schedule of the entrance exam.
• January 20: As January comes to an end, there has been no update from the National Medical Sciences Examination Board (NBEMS) or its officials regarding the specific details of the NEET MDS 2024 exam notification. Discouraged and frustrated students have taken to various social media platforms to express their concerns and disappointment over the lack of information on this crucial issue. NEET MDS aspirants have urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India's Office, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya to consider postponing the entrance exam till July 2024.
• January 27, 2024: Aspiring candidates expressed their disappointment over the scheduled NEET MDS 2024 exam date and launched a Twitter campaign with hashtags like #Postponeneetmds2024 until JULY, #postponeneetmds2024tilljuly, #NEETMDS2024POSTPOSTPONED, And #POSTPONENEETMDS2024. Aspirants have started several petitions Change.org seeking postponement of NEET MDS 2024 exams. More than 8,000 people signed the petition.
• January 29, 2024: The All India Student's Union (AISU) on Monday wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, urging them to postpone the NEET MDS exam till July 2024.
• January 31, 2024: The NBEMS NEET MDS 2024 online application form and information bulletin have been published.
• February 16, 2024: Candidates say the decision to postpone the NEET PG 2024 exam from March 3 to July 7 is discriminatory, especially when compared to the NEET MDS exam. Originally scheduled for February 9, the NEET MDS 2024 exam has been rescheduled to March 18, 2024, according to a January 20 notification. This represents only an extension of 38 calendar days from the originally scheduled date. The candidates' request to the authorities was to move the competitive exam from March to July. Two aspirants have approached the Supreme Court seeking postponement of the NEET MDS exam.
• February 21, 2024: A Supreme Court hearing was scheduled for February 21, 2024.
• February 21, 2024: The Supreme Court of India refused to rule on the extension of the last date for the internship for NEET MDS 2024. SC stated that the Union government is “more qualified to take an appeal on this issue.” The Supreme Court of India on Wednesday refused to interfere with the NEET MDS 2024 exam date and the NEET MDS 2024 internship cut-off date. To be clear, it seems unlikely that the Biden administration will jeopardize deliveries to customers outside the United States this year or anytime soon with this move. While Russia now supplies Europe with liquefied natural gas, European leaders want to reduce these flows. The Eastern Mediterranean seems questionable as a major source in the future due to the conflict between Israel and Hamas. Apart from the United States, the other likely major producer of additional liquefied natural gas is Qatar, a small Middle Eastern emirate.

Mr. Gloystein said LNG from the United States is particularly attractive to European buyers because transportation distances from North America are relatively short and the terms offered by U.S. suppliers are much more flexible than those from most other sources. For example, they typically allow a buyer to easily resell gas, while other gas powers such as Qatar often impose restrictions. “The US is the one that matters,” he said.

King Charles III and the Princess of Wales are both dealing with medical issues that will force them to delay previously planned public engagements over the coming weeks.

The news of Kate’s admission to the London Clinic for planned abdominal surgery and of Charles undergoing a ‘corrective procedure’ for an enlarged prostate next week has served to show just how threadbare royal resources are.

With Prince William also taking leave to care for his wife and children, the so-called ‘big three’ royals will be away from duties for a time.

It means with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in the US, and Prince Andrew in the cold, there is only four senior royals to call on: Queen Camilla, Princess Anne, Prince Edward and the Duchess of Edinburgh.

It’s a stark difference to previous years, when at one time the British Royal Family was made up of 18 working royals who could be called on to help with engagements. Now, just nine members of the Firm are relied upon. 

In 2017, royal engagements, such as trips abroad, Investitures and state functions were covered by 12 senior and around six minor working royals.

But this year, there is only seven senior working royals, alongside minor working members such as The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.

Alongside Charles, then Prince of Wales, and Queen Camilla, then The Duchess of Cornwall and Kate and William, the senior royals in 2017 included Harry and Meghan.

The Duchess of Sussex – who along with the Duke now lives in the US with their two children after stepping back from their duties in 2020 – made her first royal appearance with her husband in Nottingham in December 2017.

While on August 2 of that year, the late Prince Philip completed his final engagement after 70 years of service as he retired from his royal duties, aged 96. 

Andrew, Anne, Edward and his wife Sophie, now The Duchess of Edinburgh, also supported the late Queen Elizabeth II during that time as senior working royals.

Minor royals, meanwhile, that have helped out in previous years include Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, the daughters of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.

In 2019, Eugenie joined the late Queen at the Royal Maundy service at Windsor Castle’s St George’s Chapel, and both the York sisters attended the King’s Coronation last year.

In December 2013, the two princesses made an official visit to Germany to promote the UK abroad, most notable for the suggestion they drove through a red light at the Brandenburg Gate in their Union Jack emblazoned Mini Cooper. 

The trip was taken at the request of Number 10, and their travel expenses were paid for by Prince Andrew. 

But with the Duke of York exiled from public duties, and both Princesses busy with their young families and jobs – Beatrice at Afiniti and Eugenie at the art gallery Hauser and Wirth – it’s unikely there will be a repeat.  

Despite calls for Charles to bring the siblings further into the fold this year, their father Prince Andrew’s scandals would no doubt give Charles pause. 

The Duke of Kent, 88, and Princess Alexandra, 87, have also both slowed down in recent years.

Although they are both officially still working royals, Princess Alexandra drastically reduced her workload last year, while the Duke of Kent has also scaled back due to mobility issues. 

Regardless, it’s unlikely two octogenarians will be able to step up to fill the void left by much younger family members like Harry and Meghan. 

It’s no wonder Princess Anne warned recently against slimming down the monarchy further after Megxit and Prince Andrew’s fall from grace, declaring: ‘It doesn’t sound like a good idea from where I’m standing.’

The King is known to be in favour of a smaller and cheaper monarchy – but royal experts have long warned that the monarch’s vision of a slimmed-down Firm would likely leave the Royal Family ‘s day-to-day responsibilities ‘impossible to fulfil’.

In May 2023, days before the King’s Coronation, his sister Princess Anne, 73, insisted the British monarchy is in rude health and warned against slimming it down further.

The late Queen’s only daughter, who is the hardest working royal in terms of annual engagements, spoke in defence of the Royal Family, insisting it brings ‘long-term stability’, ‘continuity’ and ‘goodness’ to the UK and Commonwealth.

In a nod to the larger number of working royals when Meghan, Harry and Andrew were in the fold, Anne said: ‘I think that “slimmed down” was said in a day when there were a few more people to make that seem like a justifiable comment’.

When it was put to her that the world changes, Anne said: ‘It changes a bit. I mean, it doesn’t sound like a good idea from where I’m standing, I have to say. I’m not quite sure what else, you know, we can do.’ 

Royal experts agreed, with author Phil Dampier saying there is a shortage of working royals for at least the next decade, with any further cuts leaving them unable to fulfil daily duties. 

He told MailOnline: ‘We have got a slimmed down monarchy by default because Harry and Meghan have left and Andrew is in disgrace. But there is now a real problem with most of the working royals being over seventy.

‘It leaves just William and Kate and Edward and Sophie until their children get older. So for the next decade there is a shortage of man and woman power. 

‘You could bring in the likes of Beatrice and Eugenie to do more, but Charles has always been against that, and they are associated with their parents.

‘We are going to have to accept that the days of having 1,600 patronages like the Queen and Prince Philip are probably over.’

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams also noted the ‘challenge’ for the King and said he will need to decide ‘how slimmed down he wants the monarchy to be’.

It comes after the Princess of Wales spent a second night in hospital after major abdominal surgery as William, her parents and siblings cleared their diaries to support her recovery and care for George, Charlotte and Louis.

Kate is said to be ‘doing well’ as she recovers following the procedure at the London Clinic in Marylebone revealed on the same day King Charles announced he was taking a short break for treatment for an enlarged prostate.

With Prince William also taking leave to care for his wife and children, the so-called ‘big three’ royals will be away from duties over the coming weeks with experts saying that with Harry and Meghan in the US, and Andrew in the cold, there is only Princess Anne and her brother Prince Edward to call on.

Kate is not expected to return to public events until after Easter, and her husband will combine being by his wife’s and children’s side throughout.

Any royal tours William and Kate had in the diary for the coming months will also no longer take place amid speculation they would visit Italy together in March. 

Kate’s parents Carole and Michael Middleton and sibling Pippa Matthews and James Middleton are already rallying round and helping support her recovery at her home in Windsor, which is close to their own homes.

The Royal Family’s ‘big three’ are out of action because Buckingham Palace also revealed yesterday that  King Charles III will attend hospital next week to be treated with a ‘corrective procedure’ for an enlarged prostate.

The two health updates on senior royals came within 90 minutes of each other, with Kensington Palace coming first at 2pm then Buckingham Palace followed at 3.30pm.

She was not rushed to hospital and her condition was not something that developed over the weekend, according to reports. 

The Prince will also postpone a number of engagements as he supports his family, and will not undertake official duties while his wife is in hospital.

He will also do no official duties during the immediate period after Kate’s return home. Royal aides will provide a revised schedule for William in due course.

It is unclear what the exact nature of the surgery is, with The Palace unwilling to reveal any details in respect of Kate’s ‘medical privacy’. However it did not rule out the prospect that she may choose to speak publicly about it herself in the future.

Sun GP Dr Zoe Williams told The Sun: ‘This might be something that has been bothering her for her whole life which she has not got round to resolving, or an issue that has come to light more recently.

‘Two weeks in hospital is longer than we would normally expect, but she doesn’t have a normal life. She’s the future queen so the doctors will be erring on the side of caution.

‘We all hope it is something minor and the surgery is straightforward, but precaution is wise. With anything medical you can never be completely certain how things will go.

‘The most important thing is that she gets enough recovery time and it’s not too stressful for her and her family.’

Neither William nor Kate will travel internationally over the coming months.

They were said to have been planning a high-profile visit to Rome this spring as part of a European charm offensive, but this is now in doubt. Another scheduled foreign military engagement could be affected. 

Kate will almost certainly be forced to miss a number of high-profile events she might otherwise been expected to attend. 

She and William have regularly turned up for the Baftas, the biggest night in British cinema, held in central London this month, but this would be too soon for the recovering princess. 

She is also likely to miss out on a long-standing royal tradition in March – handing out shamrocks to the Irish Guards on St Patrick’s Day in her role as the regiment’s honorary colonel. 

The annual Commonwealth Day Service, also held in March, is likely to have to go ahead without her. The princess, patron of English rugby, is also unlikely to be well enough to attend the Guinness Six Nations, which kicks off next month. 

The Princess marked her birthday just over a week ago, with the monarchy’s official social media accounts sharing a new behind-the-scenes photo of the princess at the King’s coronation.

Kate usually enjoys good health but was previously admitted to hospital while pregnant after suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum – severe morning sickness.

A palace spokesman said: ‘Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales was admitted to The London Clinic for planned abdominal surgery.

‘The surgery was successful and it is expected that she will remain in hospital for ten to fourteen days, before returning home to continue her recovery. Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter.

‘The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate. She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private.

‘Kensington Palace will, therefore, only provide updates on Her Royal Highness’ progress when there is significant new information to share.

‘The Princess of Wales wishes to apologise to all those concerned for the fact that she has to postpone her upcoming engagements.  She looks forward to reinstating as many as possible, as soon as possible.’

The former president, 77, said Melania's mother was an “incredible woman” with “great beauty inside” during one of his final campaign events before the Iowa caucuses.

Knavs died last week at the age of 78 after spending the holidays in a hospital in Miami with her daughter by her side.

Earlier in the rally, Trump told climate protesters to “go home to mommy” after they started arguing.

A group of environmental protesters interrupted Trump's rally in Indianola, Iowa, on Sunday, holding up banners accusing the former president of being a “climate criminal.”

The protesters were scattered throughout the crowd and were escorted from a student union building where Trump held a final rally before the Iowa caucuses on Monday.

Not only were those who supported Trump inspired to come out in -18 degree temperatures, but those who opposed his candidacy also decided it was worth braving the cold.

'Thank you darling, thank you. That's OK,” Trump told the first protesters who interrupted the rally. 'Go home to mom, mom is waiting. Go home to mommy.'
