Twiggy and her husband Leigh Lawson looked as in love as ever as they attended The Biba Story exhibition at the Fashion and Textile Museum on Thursday.

The couple, who have been married for 36 years, put on a cozy display as Leigh, 78, wrapped his arms around his wife as they posed for a photo.

Twiggy – whose real name is Lesley Lawson – looked stylish in a black fitted coat, which she wore with a classic white top and trousers.

The supermodel accessorized her outfit with a pair of purple glasses and a selection of delicate silver chains.

She wore her close-cropped locks in a sleek, loose hairstyle and opted for minimal makeup for the occasion.

Meanwhile, Leigh cut a cool figure in a black velvet pinstripe jacket, which he wore with a paisley scarf, T-shirt and trousers.

During an interview last year, Twiggy cited “happiness” as the secret to her long marriage to her husband Leigh.

Twiggy married the actor in 1988, following the death of her first husband Michael Witney five years earlier.

Twiggy opened up to the September issue of Good Housekeeping because of their past experiences with love. She and Leigh have always been “a little softer” with their romance.

She said: ‘[Leigh and I] have been together for 38 years, which is scary! I think luck has a lot to do with it.

The Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games will be the largest event ever organized in France.

By hosting its third Olympic Games, Paris will join London as the only other city to do so, while the Paralympic Games will be held in the French capital for the very first time.

The Royal Mint said it has produced an official British 50p to celebrate Team GB and ParalympicsGB athletes and wish them the best of luck at the games.

Designed by Charis Tsevis, the 50p features two athletes representing both the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The special 50p is available as part of the 2024 commemorative sets on The Royal Mint’s website, with prices starting from £34.50.

200th anniversary of the RNLI 50p coin

A commemorative 50 cent coin celebrating the 200th anniversary of the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) has also been launched by The Mint.

The 50p, designed by coin artist John Bergdahl, pays tribute to the charity’s lifesaving work.

The coin’s design features the RNLI flag surrounded by a life ring.

The RNLI 200th Anniversary 50p coin was first unveiled by The Mint in late 2023, when a range of new commemorative coin designs were announced to mark 2024’s key anniversaries and milestones.

People can buy the coins on The Royal Mint’s website, with prices ranging from £12 for a brilliant uncirculated coin and £21 for a color version to £1,220 for a gold coin.

Dippy from the Natural History Museum 50p

Another collectible 50 cent coin featuring the diplodocus has been launched by The Mint as part of its dinosaur range.

The coin is inspired by the Natural History Museum’s diplodocus cast, affectionately known as “Dippy,” which was donated to the museum in 1905.

It is the third and final coin in the series, which also features a tyrannosaurus and a stegosaurus.

Each dinosaur was designed by paleoartist Robert Nicholls, under the direction of Professor Paul Barrett of the Natural History Museum.

The full collection of coins depicting each dinosaur was launched on The Royal Mint’s website on March 14, with prices starting from £11.

Star Wars Millennium Falcon 50pcs

The iconic Star Wars starship The Millennium Falcon also appears on a new 50 cent coin.

It follows the success of a Royal Mint collection featuring much-loved characters from the science fiction film franchise.

It was launched on March 18, 2024.

The latest series celebrates its famous spacecraft, with coins depicting the TIE Fighter, X-Wing and Death Star II launching later this year.

The Falcon coin also features the Rebel Alliance Starbird symbol.

Prices range from £11 for a Falcon 50p to £2,770 for a gold proof coin.

Fans can also purchase bullion bars inspired by Star Wars, available in gold and silver.

Taking to Facebook, the 75-year-old star reflected on his existence as he said ‘we’re all going to die’ before giving his fans some fitness tips in the cryptic post.

He wrote: ‘I have something new to tell you. Please do not be sad. I’m dying. Oh, I can see your faces now. The truth is that we all die. Every day we live we get closer to our death.

A helpless mother-of-two has revealed how her daughter suffers from a rare condition that sees her ‘eating the house’ – including the walls, sofa and glass.

Stacey A’Hearne, 25, from Blackwood, Wales, has to keep a constant eye on three-year-old Wynter to prevent her from chewing on potentially dangerous items in the house.

Her little one suffers from pica, an unusual eating disorder that causes sufferers to crave inedible household objects.

The little one has even been caught smashing a picture frame to try and eat shards of glass and even taking bits out of a brand new sofa.

“She literally eats the whole house,” Stacey said.

‘I bought a brand new sofa and she took pieces out of it. She is very picky with normal food, but she will sit down and have a sponge each.

Stacey, a full-time caregiver for Wynter, first noticed her daughter’s unusual eating habits when she was a baby, but thought nothing of it when she reached the usual milestones.

But since Wynter’s cravings worsened and she became non-verbal, the mother of two has desperately begged for help – and is exhausted having to keep an eye on her 24/7.

Stacey caught Wynter, who also has autism, eating plaster off the walls, gnawing foam off the inside of the couch and the side of a high chair.

She even saw the toddler destroying photo frames and trying to eat the shards of glass.

And the little girl wakes up at night to chew on her crib and blanket she sleeps in.

The parent must be on ‘high alert’ due to the severity of Wynter’s condition and in the hope of helping other parents of children with pica.

‘She smashed about eight picture frames and tried to eat the glass.

“No matter what she finds, she finds a way to eat things she shouldn’t eat,” she said.

‘Luckily she never really hurt herself because I keep a close eye on her. But it’s a full-time job looking after her.”

Stacey first noticed Wynter putting things in her mouth as a baby and didn’t think it was anything serious.

Wynter reached the usual milestones — like talking and walking — until he was about 13 months old, when things changed “overnight.”

She became non-verbal and her unusual eating habits began to escalate.

Stacey contacted her healthcare provider, who made a number of referrals to doctors who said her daughter had the eating disorder pica.

Stacey said: ‘Babies are always putting things in their mouths, but when she started doing it a lot I started to think it wasn’t normal.

‘Pica may be more common in children with autism, which Wynter also has. I think it’s a sensory thing, and she craves the different textures.

‘She has very severe autism, which means she doesn’t speak much and has a behavioral problem.’

She has caught the toddler eating plaster from the walls, wool from the inside of her toys, plants and candle wax.

She said, “I put Wynter in the high chair with snacks, but she will choose to eat the high chair.

‘Her autism really affects her sleep, and she wakes up quite often. Her pica actually comes out to play at night.

‘She wakes up at 2am and I see her eating the crib and the blankets.

‘It’s tiring to keep an eye on her 24/7, but I’ve developed a good routine and I understand her needs.’

Stacey has found that providing “sensory playtime” has distracted Wynter from her pica cravings.

She is raising her two daughters with her partner, their father, Ryan, 30, who does not live with them.

She said: ‘Children with autism like sensory things they can touch or hear.

‘I have a chew chain for her, specially designed for people with pica, that she can chew on with different textures.

‘She also eats things like pasta in different shapes that she can touch or play with.

‘The doctors said there’s not much we can do. It’s not good for her, but it’s not extremely dangerous, as long as it’s not glass.

“I just have to keep a very close eye on her and hopefully she’ll grow out of it eventually.”

Candice Warner has given a candid insight into her family life with her husband David following his retirement from Test cricket.

The former iron woman, 39, revealed that she gave the sports star a financial compensation.

A RARE Beatles record found in a charity shop has been flogged for more than £4,200.

The “incredibly rare” pressing of the Fab Four’s debut studio album Please Please Me was donated to the Cancer Research UK charity shop in Enfield, north London.

Store manager Jaime-Marie Madden initially thought the record might be worth a few hundred pounds so kept it off the shop floor.

But it was discovered to be a first pressing of the original masters of 1963’s Please Please Me, which bears the black Parlophone label with gold text.

It was processed by a dedicated online trading team and listed on eBay with a starting price of £1,499.99.

But bids caused the price to soar before it eventually sold for a whopping £4,211.89.

Mrs Madden said: “When I first saw the vinyl I thought it might only be worth a few hundred pounds.

“The record was in good condition, with only a few stains, but the cover was quite damaged and worn, with a cut on the bottom, some scuffs, stains, aging and stains.

‘It even had a name written on the back.

“Thankfully, at Cancer Research UK we are trained to spot donations that can raise more money for life-saving cancer research.

“So after taking a few pictures and Googling the record, I knew we had something special.”

Ms Madden said she was thrilled that her spot had raised such a huge amount for Cancer Research UK, a leading cancer charity committed to saving lives through research, influence and information.

She added: “I packed it securely and sent it to our online marketplace team who spent more time researching the value of the item and then listed it on our eBay marketplace.

“I kept an eye on it and couldn’t believe my eyes when it sold for £4.2k.

“We are always grateful to people who donate to charity and we always try to get the most out of donations.

“It’s great to see this money going to such an important cause.”

Mike Kuklenko, vinyl record specialist from Harper Field Auctioneers And Valuers, said: “What a great story! Please Please Me by The Beatles, in this format is an incredibly rare record, and a great spot from Jaime-Marie.

“I’ve seen a few stories like this in my time as a professional vinyl appraiser.

“People have shared their old collections, thinking it would make a few quid, and I have been lucky enough to be the one to surprise them with the fact that they have one or two gemstones worth hundreds or even thousands of pounds.

“In this case, it’s fantastic to see all this money going to life-saving cancer research. What a find!”

It comes after a guest on Antiques Roadshow was stunned to discover how much money his John Lennon memorabilia would fetch at auction.

Together with auctioneer Raj Bisram, he proudly displayed the house number of the Beatles legend’s childhood home.

The song was originally mounted on the gate of Lennon’s aunt Mimi at 251 Menlove Avenue in Liverpool.

Explaining how he got the license plate, he said: “When John Lennon’s family decided to sell their house in 1965, a couple bought it and lived there for a few months and then moved out.

“Then the next couple who bought it didn’t tell them it was John Lennon’s house, so they moved in.

“They were having breakfast one morning and there were five people in their front yard taking pictures – then they realized they were living in John Lennon’s house,” he added.

Raj asked if he’d ever thought about selling it, to which the man replied, “I’ve never thought about selling it, and honestly, I don’t think I ever would. I just enjoy to have it in the family.”

But Raj believed he might change his mind.

He said: ‘If that went to a specialist Beatles sale it would easily make £5,000 to £8,000 but it could double that, it could really double that.

“I think this is a great little piece of Beatles memorabilia.”

Celine Dion celebrated International Stiff Person Syndrome Day amid her battle with the disorder by sharing a rare photo of her children.

“Today the world recognizes International SPS Awareness Day,” 55-year-old Dion wrote via Instagram on Friday, March 15, next to a photo of the singer with her three sons. “As many of you know, I was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS) in the fall of 2022. Alongside the caption was a rare photo of Dion and her three sons – René-Charles Angélil, 23, and twins Nelson and Eddy, 13 – which she shared with her late husband Rene Angelilwho passed away in 2016.

In December 2022, Dion shared that health issues had caused her to postpone several upcoming performances. “I have always been an open book and before I was not ready to say anything, but now I am ready,” Dion said in an emotional video at the time. “I have been dealing with issues with my health for a long time and it has been very difficult for me to face these challenges and talk about everything I have been through.”
