Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden appeared in good spirits as she started the fourth day of her trip to Bangladesh with a business breakfast.

The royal, 46, chatted with representatives of multilateral banks and international financial institutions over breakfast at the InterContinental Hotel in Dhaka.

The mother-of-two looked typically chic and wore a blue suit with an elegant cream blouse for the occasion.

Later, Victoria visited the Swedish Embassy in Dhaka and its ambassador, Alexandra Berg von Linde. The royal family appeared pleased as she received a bright yellow bouquet at the embassy.

Victoria then swapped her heels for a casual pair of trainers and a floral dress as she enjoyed a ride on the back of a rickshaw.

With a beaming smile, the 46-year-old made herself comfortable as she sat in the cycle rickshaw.

The mother-of-two wore a pair of Nike Air Force 1 sneakers, but with added glamor thanks to the floral detailing on the side.

To match the theme of her sneakers, Victoria opted for a casual boho-chic dress with a floral and paisley print.

Today is the final day of Victoria’s trip to the South Asian continent, which she undertook as part of her role as Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

It comes after Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden beamed yesterday as she unveiled a portrait of herself during a visit to the Asian University for Women in Bangladesh.

The royal, 46, appeared in good spirits as she uncovered the large portrait with visible excitement on her face.

It was the second day of Victoria’s trip to Bangladesh, which she is carrying out as part of her role as UNDP Goodwill Ambassador.

The regal portrait will hang on the wall of the Asian University for Women in Chattogram – an independent institution that welcomes all students, regardless of their background.

During the visit, the heir to the Swedish throne also talked to the students and interacted with their work.

The 46-year-old also delivered a speech to staff and students of the institution, which is committed to promoting women’s education.

Elsewhere on the day, Victoria visited the UNDP rural climate change adaptation project in the Khulna district of eastern Bangladesh.

Victoria embraced the tradition and wore a floral headpiece for the project, which has received contributions from both Sweden and the UNDP.

Earlier that day, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden appeared cheerful while holding a goat during a visit to a climate change project in Bangladesh.

The heir to the Swedish throne, 46, wore a red and white floral lei around her neck as she visited the women-led community project in Khulna district on Tuesday.

The royal looked bright and breezy in flared white trousers with a blue summer print, which she teamed with an oversized T-shirt and trainers.

Victoria went for natural makeup and her brunette locks were pulled back into a relaxed bun as she smiled for the cameras while holding a small goat, while in another move she held a fish.

The mother-of-two looked in good spirits as she was shown around the facility, which has received contributions from both Sweden and the UNDP.

She chose to wear a simple silver necklace along with earrings, a bracelet, a watch and rings.

Princess Victoria once again showed off her style credentials during her trip to Dhaka yesterday.

She wore a striking pleated swan print dress by Swedish designer Jennifer Blom as she visited the Foreign Service Academy to see how the country is using digital solutions.

Victoria put her best fashion foot forward for the visit, pairing her statement dress with a vibrant cherry red handbag.

Victoria first wore the colorful dress in 2017, when she celebrated 100 years of independence in Finland together with other members of the Swedish royal family.

The 96th Academy Awards was held on March 10 at 7 pm ET/4pm PT live on ABC, hosted for a fourth time by Jimmy Kimmel.

Oppenheimer won a whopping seven Oscars at Sunday night’s Academy Awards – while rival Barbie only won one.

Meanwhile Emma Stone led Poor Things to an impressive four including her Best Actress win and UK film The Zone Of Interest won two at the gala event held at The Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.

The historical epic directed by Christopher Nolan swept the major categories with wins for Best Actor Cillian Murphy, Best Supporting Actor Robert Downey Jr. and Nolan – with the film also winning Best Picture.

In contrast, Barbie, who memorably won against Oppenheimer in the ‘Barbenheimer’ box office showdown over the summer, walked away with just one award for Best Original Song for What Was I Made For? by Billie Eilish and Finneas McConnell.

Downey Jr. jokingly thanked his ‘terrible childhood’ as he finally won an Oscar for his portrayal of Lewis Strauss, was delighted as he took to the stage – after host Jimmy Kimmel made a very awkward quip about his drug use.

The veteran actor – who has acted for over five decades – took home the Academy Award over stiff competition including Sterling K. Brown, American Fiction, Robert De Niro, Killers of the Flower Moon, Ryan Gosling, Barbie, and Mark Ruffalo, Poor Things.

Oppenheimer won seven awards in total – as well as Best Actor for Cillian Murphy, Best Supporting Actor, Best Director for Christopher Nolan, and Best Picture, it won Original Score for Ludwig Göransson – along with cinematography and achievement in film editing.

Al Pacino announced Oppenheimer as the Best Picture winner without bothering to name all the other nominees.

After the two films were released on the same day – July 21 – Barbenheimer gripped film fans who made an event out of going directly from the screening of one to the other.

Barbie was the highest-grossing movie of the year on both the domestic ($636.2 million) and worldwide ($1.445 billion) box office charts.

Oppenheimer took fifth place ($326.1 million) on the domestic box office charts and third place ($957.8 million) on the worldwide charts.

Meanwhile Emma, 35, powered through a wardrobe malfunction as she beat out an impressive field including favorite Lily Gladstone from Killers Of The Flower Moon in addition to Annette Bening, Nyad, Sandra Huller, Anatomy of a Fall, and Carey Mulligan, Maestro.

However, hours later the Australian star switched up her look for a glitzy black gown with a tulle boa as she partied into the night with her celebrity pals.

Robbie, who was joined by her husband Tom Ackerley, had much to celebrate after Barbie bagged the new Cinematic and Box Office Achievement award.

Barbie sensationally beat Taylor Swift’s The Eras concert movie to an award at the 2024 Golden Globes on Sunday.

The Margot Robbie-Ryan Gosling blockbuster faced off against Swift’s film in the new Cinematic and Box Office Achievement award – with Barbie coming out on top.

Robbie appeared in great spirits following her big night, despite losing out in the Best Actress category to Emma Stone’s Poor Things performance.

Robbie wore another custom Giorgio Armani Privé dress for the after party, which boasted a V neckline and form-fitting style.

The dress, which was covered in black sequins, was accessorised with a pair of chic but simple black stilettos and a small clutch bag.

Earlier in the evening, Robbie channelled Barbie once again as she arrived to the star-studded red carpet at held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday.

The floor-length gown featured a plunging v-neckline and the actress paired the ensemble with a matching tulle boa wrap.

As she did throughout the film’s press tour, Margot took inspiration from the iconic Mattel doll, with her gown recreating the 1977 SuperStar Barbie doll.

In her hand Margot held a matching pink clutch. The actress wore her blonde tresses parted in the middle and cascading down in gentle waves.

She added major bling to the ensemble, wearing over $3M of Lorraine Schwartz Jewelry. The blonde bombshell accessorized with 30 carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond studs, and a 3 carat D Flawless diamond ring.

It seems the Barbie star has also upgraded her jewellery collection, after she swapped her modest engagement ring from husband Tom for a much bigger sparkler.

The ring was a far cry from from her comparatively modest engagement ring, which features a 1.5 carat pear-shaped diamond and is estimated to be worth between $20,000 and $30,000.

It’s unclear whether Margot has permanently upgraded her engagement ring, or whether she simply swapped it for the evening.

As for glam, she looked picture-perfect with delicate bronze eyeshadow and pink lipstick.

While on the red carpet she was joined by her husband Tom, 33, who looked dashing in an all-black tuxedo.

Barbie won out over Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, John Wick: Chapter 4, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1, Oppenheimer, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

Robbie and director Greta Gerwig, 40, rushed to the stage along with the cast and crew to accept the award – while Swift was a gracious loser as she led the standing ovation.

Margot said: ‘Thank you. We would like to dedicate this to every single person on the planet who dressed up and went to the greatest place on Earth, the movie theaters.

‘Thank you, and thank you to everybody, all the Barbies and Kens in front of and behind the screen.

‘It was the greatest most joyful show of craftsmanship and passion I’ve ever seen.

‘And on behalf of Tom and David and Robbie and I, we want to thank the brave individuals at Warner and Mattel for taking an extraordinary risk in literally inventing numbers to justify green lighting this, and then standing by at every step of the way.

‘Thank you to Noah Baumbach for showing his inner Barbie girl. Thank you to Ryan Gosling for going full beach. And America Ferrera for showing her soul.

Margot concluded her speech by thanking the award show for creating the new category which recognizes a film with ‘a box office receipt total/gross of $150 million, of which $100 million must come from the U.S. domestic box office, and/or obtain commensurate digital streaming viewership recognized by trusted industry sources’ according to the Golden Globes.

‘Last but not least, thank you so much to the Golden Globes for creating an award that celebrates movie fans.

‘This is a movie about Barbie, but it’s also a movie about humans. We made it — it’s about you. We made it for you, and we made it with love. Thank you for loving it back.

The fantasy comedy features Robbie as Barbie and Gosling as Ken as they embark on a journey of self-discovery following an existential crisis.

The 35-year-old actress received a standing ovation as she won over Alma Pöysti – Fallen Leaves, Fantasia Barrino – The Color Purple (2023), Jennifer Lawrence – No Hard Feelings, Margot Robbie – Barbie, and Natalie Portman – May December.

During his acceptance speech he said: ‘Thank you so much. Thank you so much. I just adored every second playing the weird and wonderful human grease stain that is Tom Wambsgans. Tom Wambsgans, CEO, I should say. God help us.

‘My love and thanks and admiration to Jesse Armstrong, as always. And to all Eric’s ordinary writers. I’m too scared to name them all, because I’ll forget someone and I want sleep. To Adam Mckay, Francie mazelike, HBO, wonderful directors and producers, and of course are gorgeous crew and cast who I miss very much. Thank you.’

This was Matthew’s first ever nomination and win at the Golden Globes as he was recognized for his work as Tom Wambsgans.

Zara Tindall and her husband looked loved up as ever as they shared a kiss at the Pacific Fair Magic Millions Polo & Showjumping event today.

Mike, 45, gave his wife a smooch while she competed in a game of polo at the outing at Doug Jennings Park on the Gold Coast in Australia.

Delighted crowds watched on as the mother-of-three leaned down, while on horseback, to share the sweet moment.

The royal, 42, had sported a chic summery striped dress – which she later swapped out for riding gear – as she had a blast taking part in the day’s equestrian activities.

She was effortlessly sophisticated in a nautical-inspired button-up frock which she teamed with white sandal wedges – perfect for the mild, warm weather Down Under this week.

The mother-of-two also opted for a wide-brim hat and some shades to shield herself from the sun.

Elsewhere Mike cut a dapper figure in navy blazer and tie, worn with beige chinos.

The exciting event saw professional polo players – including equestrian enthusiast Zara, Nacho Figueras and Delfina Blaquier – play two games.

The mother-of-three appeared to be completely in the zone as she rode a horse in white Jodhpurs, riding boots, a helmet, gloves and a black sports shirt.

There were also three showjumping competitions featuring Olympic competitors.

Live entertainment is also promised, as well as a host of summery activities for guests to enjoy.

On the event’s Instagram page, it was also today announced that Zara would ride in the Magic Millions Queensland Off-The-Track Cup Final as the ‘Celebrity Wildcard’.

Zara and Mike have been making the most of their Australia trip, having enjoyed an evening of celebrations last night.

Zara looked glamorous in an embellished midi dress as she attended an awards dinner with her husband.

The daughter of Princess Anne dressed up for the Magic Millions Racing Women Achievement Awards in a chic black dress, which featured gold floral embellishments.

She wore her blonde hair swept back in a sleek up-do for the occasion, and carried a white, pearlescent clutch bag with metal detailing.

Her dress, by Australian designer Rebecca Vallance, also featured slightly puffed cap sleeves, and fell to just below her knees.

She completed her ensemble with pointed black heels, and kept her make-up fresh and minimal for the dinner.

Her husband, former rugby union player Mike Tindall, also dressed up on Saturday night, in a cream suit jacket and black tie.

The Magic Millions Racing Women Achievement Awards celebrates ‘outstanding national success and achievements by women in the thoroughbred industry’.

Zara is one of five judges on the panel for the racing awards, which were presented to winners at the dinner.

It comes after the keen equestrian commenced the year in style as she arrived at the Cheltenham Racecourse in a chic ensemble on New Year’s Day.

The King’s niece  accompanied her youngest daughter Lena, five, in the paddock at Cheltenham Races – and the youngster appeared keen to grab her mother’s attention.

Mother-of-three Zara showed her style prowess and donned a plaid belted coat with a mahogany fur trim as she attended the races with her daughters Lena and Mia, and nieces Savannah and Isla Phillips.

She paired the ensemble with a chocolate-coloured fascinator featuring a statement golden bow and complemented the look with a quilted black leather bag and classic leather knee-high boots.

Meanwhile little Lena, who grabbed her mother’s hand tight and pointed out something that had caught her eye, looked adorable in a burgundy coat.

The Cheltenham Races traditionally falls on New Year’s Day, with families flocking to the area each year to watch the racing action.

As Lena and Zara were spotted in the paddock, Zara’s eldest daughter Mia was spotted on the balcony with her cousins Isla and Savannah Phillips, where the trio appeared enthralled by the happenings on the racing track.

Mia, nine, appears to have taken after her parents, Mike and Zara, who are also keen horse racing fans, as she concentrated hard on the races.

The King’s handsome equerry, Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Thompson, was in attendance today as he joined the Royal Family for their annual Christmas walk at Sandringham.

Closely followed by His Majesty, Mr Thompson, nicknamed ‘Major Eye Candy’ on TikTok, walked with senior royals as the crowd lined the road outside St Mary Magdalene Church for the traditional Christmas Day service at the Norfolk estate.

King Charles was accompanied by Camilla, the Queen Consort, at the head of the group, with the Waleses walking close behind alongside their three children George, 10, Charlotte, eight, and Louis, five.

Mr. Thompson turned in a dapper appearance in a navy blue suit and blue blazer jacket.

The king’s handsome equerry first won admirers at the queen’s funeral and gained a legion of fans thanks to his somber appearance.

Once the Queen’s top bodyguard, he now serves His Majesty and was seen standing proudly next to King Charles during the coronation.

Earlier this year he made third place from Tatler Social Power Index, which shows where ‘real power lies in Britain’.

Away from his royal duties, Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Thompson of the 5th Battalion Royal Regiment of Scotland lives in Surrey and is a father of one child and loving husband to his marketing manager wife Caroline, 44.

The devoted couple have been happily married since 2010 and welcomed their son in 2018. They also have two black Labradors named Odin and Piper – a nod to his military time in Scotland.

Just behind King Charles III and Queen Camila (at number one, natch), and billionaire businessman Sanjay and his fashion designer wife Anu Hinduja (at number two), the dashing equerry has cemented himself as one of the influential names in Britain . .

According to Tatler, Johnny has a ‘fantastic sense of humour’ and can look just as good in a suit as he does in a kilt.

They wrote: ‘It is from within the palace walls that the king’s equerry wields his unique brand of quiet, charming power; but he is seen where it counts, for example at the coronation, or on the opening night of the Berntson Bhattacharjee Gallery in Fitzrovia, where he wore a bunny tie and charmed India Rose James.’

During King Charles’ coronation in May, viewers rushed to social media to discuss not only the monarch’s coronation, but the very handsome man at his side.

“I have to admit, there were times when I was a little distracted today,” one person tweeted.

“Major Jonathan Thompson is the reason we are watching the coronation,” another added. “Look at his beauty and also his big calves.”

Other admirers also couldn’t help but point out the army officer’s striking looks, as another fan wrote: ‘Has anyone else clocked the dashing chap in the kilt?’

“Good to see the handsome Groom of the Robes, Lt. Col. Jonathan Thompson, actually getting naked,” another tweeted.

Lt. Col. Thompson is so handsome that some admirers even got a little territorial, warning others to “keep their hands off.”

‘That’s the dashing Major Johnny. Hands off!!’ wrote one Twitter user.

The officer became the object of the affection of royal guards last year after taking center stage at historic royal events following the Queen’s death.

He was captured on camera calmly and coolly removing a pencil tray that was cluttering the king’s desk as Charles signed the proclamation appointing him as the new monarch.

He was also seen in the procession as the Queen’s coffin was escorted from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall for the four days he lay in state.

He greeted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his trip to Britain in February and accompanied then-Prime Minister Liz Truss to a meeting with the king at Buckingham Palace in October 2022.

He was also spotted behind Harry and Meghan at the Platinum Jubilee National Service or Thanksgiving celebrations at St Paul’s Cathedral last June.

His role as Equerry, an officer of the Royal Household who assists members of the Royal Family, involves assisting the King with his daily duties, standing by his side at public events and looking after the carriages, carriages and Rolls-Royces of the monarch used in state ceremonies.

Lieutenant Colonel Thompson has had a relationship with the Royal Family for several years. He has been part of the 5th Battalion Royal Regiment of Scotland since 2006 and was previously one of the Queen’s most senior bodyguards.

Contrary to popular belief that he is Scottish, Lieutenant Colonel Thompson was actually born in Morpeth, Northumberland, and now lives with his family in Surrey.

He joined the Army in 2006 and is a platoon commander, according to his LinkedIn. It is believed he has worked as an equerry for Charles for the past two years.

His profile also shows how he attended Aberystwyth University where he graduated in 2004 with a degree in Economics and Politics with International Studies and his hobbies and interests include rugby and mountaineering, and he was also a member of the undergraduate officer training corps.

Olivia Wilde kept her slim body a secret on Saturday as she embarked on an afternoon stroll in the Hollywood Hills.

Instead of a skimpy sports bra, the 39-year-old actress turned director opted for a comfortable Nike Jordan T-shirt and black sweatpants.

Wilde — who recently faced backlash after commenting on Taylor Swift’s love life — carried a red tote bag over her right shoulder and accessorized with sunglasses.

The Don’t Worry Darling author’s gorgeous light brown hair fell to her shoulders and chest beneath a muted yellow baseball cap.

As she focused on directing in recent years, this was Wilde’s last acting roles as Miranda in the podcast series Ad Lucem.

Whether it’s bringing a recyclable water bottle or turning off the lights, many of us are taking steps to reduce our carbon footprint.

Now a study has shown how simple food swaps can help reduce your footprint by as much as 35 percent.

While you may worry that these swaps require an overhaul of your entire diet, experts from Stanford University and Tulane University assure that this is not the case.

“For us, the alternatives include swapping a beef burger for a turkey burger, not replacing your steak with a tofu hot dog,” said Dr. Anna Grummon, lead author of the study.

‘We looked for replacements who were as similar as possible.’

Swaps to reduce your carbon footprint
EXCHANGE FOR
Grilled steak (4.21 kg CO2/100 g) Grilled chicken (0.51 kg CO2/100 g)
BBQ beef short ribs (3.14 kg CO2/100 g) BBQ pork ribs (0.56kg CO2/100g)
Canned corned beef (4.17 kg CO2/100 g) Turkey ham (0.35kg CO2/100g)
Lamb chop (4.75kg CO2/100g) Grilled chicken (0.51 kg CO2/100 g)
Cheese-filled hot dog (1.34 kg CO2/100 g) Hot dog without meat (0.06 kg CO2/100 g)
Pastrami (4.09 kg CO2/100 g) Turkey ham sausage (0.36kg CO2/100g)
Cooked crab (5.13 kg CO2/100 g) Poached salmon (0.26 kg CO2/100 g)
Cooked shrimp (5.13 kg CO2/100 g) Cooked squid (0.53 kg CO2/100 g)
Cheeseburger (1.92 kg CO2/100 g) Grilled chicken sandwich (0.32kg CO2/100g)
Whole milk (0.18 kg CO2/100 g) Soy milk (0.03 kg CO2/100 g)
Freshly squeezed grapefruit juice (0.19 kg CO2/100 g) Raw grapefruit (0.16 kg CO2/100 g)

In the study, the researchers wanted to determine what simple food substitutions households can make to reduce their carbon footprint.

The team analyzed the diets of more than 7,700 Americans to identify the most commonly eaten foods with the greatest climate impact.

They then simulated replacing them with lower-emission options that remained nutritionally similar.

For example, a grilled steak was found to produce 4.21 kg of CO2/100 g.

Instead, the team suggests opting for grilled chicken, which produces just 0.51 kg of CO2/100 g.

BBQ beef short ribs (3.14 kg CO2/100 g) can be replaced with BBQ pork short ribs (0.56 kg CO2/100 g), while users should opt for turkey ham (0.35 kg CO2/100 g ) instead of canned corned beef (4.17 kg). of CO2/100g).

Other alternatives suggested by the researchers include poached salmon (0.26 kg CO2/100 g) over cooked crab (5.13 kg CO2/100 g), and a grilled chicken sandwich (0.32 kg CO2/100 g) instead of a cheeseburger (1.92 kg CO2/100 g). CO2/100g).

Overall, the team says that making some of these replacements could reduce the average American’s carbon footprint by as much as 35 percent.

A cheeseburger was found to produce 1.92 kg of CO2/100 g. However, a grilled chicken sandwich only produces 0.32 kg of CO2/100 g (stock image)

“This study shows that reducing dietary CO2 emissions is accessible and does not have to mean a complete lifestyle change,” said Diego Rose, senior author of the study.

“It can be as simple as ordering a chicken burrito instead of a beef burrito when you eat out.

‘When you’re at the supermarket, move your hand one foot forward to grab soy or almond milk instead of cow’s milk.

‘That one small change can have a big impact.’

The researchers emphasize that these replacements are not intended as a panacea for climate goals.

However, they hope the findings will show how small changes can have a big impact.

“There is overlap between sustainable diets and healthy diets,” Dr. Grummon added.

‘Our research shows that changing just one ingredient, swapping one ingredient, can be a win-win situation, resulting in meaningful changes in both climate outcomes and how healthy our diets are.’
