NSW Upper House MP Taylor Martin married his girlfriend Brittany in December in a luxurious ceremony at Sydney’s Grounds of Alexandria in front of about 110 guests.

But within eight weeks the relationship was over and Brittany and her three-year-old daughter left the home they had shared with Mr Martin on the state’s central coast.

A source close to the former couple said Brittany is now seeking help as the mother of one deals with the ugly split.

“I was shocked to hear that the marriage had ended so quickly,” says an insider.

“As we see the number of reported incidents increase and more people taking a stand, I’m sure every family has at least one story to tell close to home.

“I know I do that among my friends and family. I will be an advocate among young men.
