Taylor Swift fans have delved into the Omid Scobie scandal after the royal biographer claimed the international superstar snubbed King Charles during his coronation.

Fans of the pop star, dubbed Swifties, have been known to steadfastly defend the singer against any negative claims against her, and Omid, 42, is the latest to feel their wrath.

In his latest book, Endgame, Omid claimed the pop icon, 33, turned down an offer to perform at King Charles’ coronation in May, ignoring the fact she was performing a show in America ahead of her sold-out Eras Tour.

One outraged fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: ‘Look at these completely blatant lies.

“Taylor Swift was in the middle of her Eras Tour – I was at the show in Nashville the night of the coronation.”

Swifties were also quick to point out that the Shake it Off singer had also turned down a handwritten offer from Meghan Markle to appear on her podcast – which was not mentioned in Scobie’s explosive book.

Scobie noted that other musicians also turned down invitations to perform at the coronation, to the point that it was “a challenge” for organizers to find performers for the event.

One person warned: ‘He really doesn’t want to start with Taylor. He thought the royal family was harsh. He hasn’t seen what angry Swifties can do. I should have asked someone, dude.”

The point was proven after sections of Swifties took to X to share their disgust.

An offended Swiftie wrote on X: ‘Calling Omid Scobie a royal expert is laughable and a bit of an exaggeration. He is more the mouthpiece of Harry and Meghan and that was proven in court.’

Another wrote: ‘Omid Scobie didn’t learn to never annoy the Swifites or always tell the truth. It’s really stupid to lie about an easily verifiable fact.’

The royal reporter is currently in the spotlight after refusing to apologize to the two royal families. The Dutch version of his book claimed to have ‘concerns’ about Prince Archie’s skin color – after both Endgame translators insisted the names were in the manuscript they received.

He laid the blame squarely on the publisher in the Netherlands – and denied that it was part of a money-grubbing ‘stunt’ to distribute more copies worldwide, as he stated: “I never submitted a book that had those names in it.”

It came after it emerged that Buckingham Palace is now ‘considering all options’ – including legal action – over the royal race row sparked by Omid’s ‘toxic’ new book on the monarchy.

Legal experts have also suggested that Harry and Meghan should sue the Endgame author for invasion of privacy after he revealed he had seen the names on letters exchanged between Meghan and King Charles III.

The Sussexes’ favorite royal reporter is accused of ‘virtually confirming’ the names in his first British TV appearance on ITV’s This Morning on Thursday.

He started with a denial about being ‘Meghan’s mouthpiece’, Omid offered no mea culpa or apology for the mistake and when asked if he was upset he said: ‘I’m clearly frustrated. I wouldn’t say I’m angry about it.’

He continued: “The reality, however, is that this is information that is not known only to me. Journalists across Fleet Street have known these names for a long time. We’ve all followed a certain code of conduct when it comes to talking about it.

‘It is frustrating that what is now happening in the Netherlands with the book, which was of course immediately withdrawn and is now being reprinted, has happened, and I am happy to hear that. But for me, I can only talk about the English version of the book that I wrote and produced.”

But royal experts, some of whom are experienced journalists, told MailOnline today that Omid is mistaken in believing the names were common knowledge, with some questioning whether the names could be correct.
