Taylor Swift sweetly pays tribute to boyfriend Travis Kelce by performing a song that famously kicked off their love story ahead of the mad dash to the Super Bowl

Taylor Swift couldn't get her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, out of her head while performing her fourth sold-out show at Tokyo Dome Stadium on Saturday.

Just hours before she begins her nearly 13-hour journey from Japan to Las Vegas to see the Kansas City Chiefs star tight end, 34, play in Super Bowl LVIII, the pop star, also 34, chooses to perform the song singing that sparked their love story as one of her surprise songs.

To the crowd's delight, the 14-time Grammy winner began performing her 2022 hit, You're on Your Own, Kid, in which she sings about making friendship bracelets and seizing the moment.

As she sang the verse “so make the friendship bracelets / take the moment and taste it / you have no reason to be afraid,” Swift beamed with joy, catching the attention of her fans online.

“Her smile and eyes as she sings friendship bracelets are beautiful! You can tell she is so happy,” someone further wrote TikTok among images of her performance on the piano.

The song famously prompted Swifties to wear, make and trade friendship bracelets on The Eras Tour. And even Kelce tried to give Swift one with his number on it before one of her shows.

After describing on his New Heights podcast with brother Jason Kelce that he couldn't give the bracelet to her, word got back to Swift.

“This all started when Travis adorably confused me on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” she shared Time magazine. “We started hanging out right after that.”

She continued, “So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I'm grateful for because we got to know each other.”

Despite some fans thinking they were on their first date after she showed up to one of his matches, the artist revealed that they “were a couple” by the time that happened.

“I think some people think they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to kick off a first date hard,” she mused.

Since going public, Swift has attended a total of 12 games to cheer on her boyfriend as he plays on the court. This Sunday's Super Bowl will be her 13th.

Earlier this week, Kelce admitted that he never thought his failed attempt to give Taylor Swift a friendship bracelet would lead to a relationship.

Still, he joked that he “took it personally” that his romantic gesture was halted.

“I was a little disappointed that I couldn't get her one of the bracelets I made for her,” Kelce explained.

In January, Swift's second cousin Danny Frye III claimed he was the one playing cupid.

Frye III claimed to have 'established a bond of love' between the 34-year-old hitmaker and the professional footballer, who have been dating since September.

The dirt track racer also stated that he grew up “pretty close” to the Blank Space singer.

Frye, who has been photographed with Swift at several Kansas City Chiefs games, then spoke about becoming the subject of public interest because of his familial bond with the songwriter.
