Teen Mom Jenelle Evans Says CPS Dropped Her, David Eason Case

Jenelle Evans gave an update on the Child Protective Services case against her and husband David Eason about her son Jace.

“All allegations against me and my husband have been officially withdrawn,” the spokesperson said Teenage mother 2 alum, 32, claimed in a TikTok video on Thursday, February 15. “CPS has adopted a voluntary resignation and I wanted to be the first to let you know.”

Evans explained that now that the case is no longer open, she is prioritizing Jace's mental health. While she focuses on her son's well-being, the former MTV star shared that she wasn't ready to reveal details about the case just yet.

“I would appreciate it if everyone respected my son's privacy so he can get his mental health under control,” she said in Thursday's clip. “Just know that I'm super happy. I feel like this is unreal, it still hasn't dawned on me.”

In October 2023, a case was opened against Evans and Eason, 35, after her son Jace, 14, ran away for the third time. (Besides Jace, whom she shares with ex Andrew LewisEvans is also the mother of 9-year-old son Kaiser, whom she shares with ex Nathan Griffithand 6-year-old daughter Ensley with Eason.)

Jenelle's mother, Barbara Evans, who previously had custody of Jace, told police at the time that Jace called her and explained that he had been “hiding” from his stepfather and claimed Eason had attacked him. For his part, Eason refuted the allegations of abuse.

Then the rest of you get sick because you speak like you know something because you read their lies,” Eason wrote via Instagram at the time. “You people really need help! Our children are in our care and everything you read is not true!

However, Eason later received a child molestation charge. After news of Eason's charges broke, Jenelle spoke out against police.

“You would think [the] The police would not conduct a one-sided police investigation. They did not conduct any interviews. I did not ask the parents for any information. This seems very prejudiced[ed] situation like every time before,” she claimed via her Instagram Story in October 2023. “I trusted that detective with all my heart. I forgot that you can't trust the police… stupid of me. I don't trust anyone around me. I'm going MIA for a while.”

Jenelle was awarded custody of Jace in March 2023 after nearly 14 years in his grandmother's care.

“My mother and I have jointly decided to give me back full custody because we want to repair our relationship as mother and daughter,” she said in a statement to We weekly at the time. “My mother also agrees that it is time for Jace to be with his siblings again and live with a mother and father. She also thinks it's important for Jace to be around a father figure to teach “boy things” and “make men talk.” She has seen how David raises my children and she knows we can handle that.
