Terrifying moment giant boulder crushes truck before huge boulders crash into second truck from mountainside – The Sun

Terrifying footage shows giant boulders rolling down hills and crushing trucks in a horrific accident.

The fatal incident took place on the Central Highway in San Mateo, located northeast of Lima Peruon Saturday.

Horror Footage captured on the dashcam of one of the trucks shows a giant rock landing on top of the truck the driving before.

The boulder, about the size of a truck itself, completely crushed the truck.

Within a split second, another rock falls on the truck, capturing the horrific accident from behind, completely crushing the vehicle.

This is followed by a number of smaller rocks rolling down the hill blocking the road in the area notorious for such incidents.

A second footage shows the actions of the shocked driver as he promptly takes off his seat belt and jumps out of the truck’s cab before it is slammed shut by the falling rock.

While both truck drivers miraculously survived the deadly incident, the cargo of their trucks was completely destroyed.

The road was badly damaged and blocked by the landslide, so much so that it took authorities about four hours to clear the section of mountain road.

Officials speculate that heavy rains destabilized the soil in the area, leading to the horrific landslide.

They are currently investigating the incident.

One of the locals present at the scene said: “The response from the truck driver was very quick, I think I would have frozen.”

One viewer watched the clip of the accident and said: “When it’s not your turn [to die]…”

Another wrote: “Another reason to always wear your seat belt,” someone else wrote.
