THIS is the terrifying moment Vladimir Putin’s KH-101 cruise missile, traveling at 600 miles per hour, destroys Ukraine’s largest hydroelectric power station.

You can see the £10 million weapon of destruction tearing through the air before slamming into its target and causing a huge fireball.

The footage shows the Kh-101 firing heat traps shortly before hitting the target to reduce the chance of being hit by air defense missiles.

The 24-foot rocket then collides with its target, creating a mighty glow in the sky before raging flames soon emerge.

It is believed that the plant was hit by at least two rockets and completely stopped generating electricity after the attack.

The strike endangers the economy Russian-occupied Zaporizhia nuclear energy factory, the largest in Europewhich requires constant external power to prevent disaster.

“Such a situation is extremely dangerous and threatens to lead to an emergency,” said Petro Kotin, head of the department Ukraine Nuclear energy company Energoatom.

“If the last remaining line connecting the facility to the national grid is disconnected, (the plant) will enter another blackout, which is a serious violation of the conditions for the safe operation of the plant.”

Ihor Syrota, general director of PJSC Ukrhydroenergo, confirmed that two rocket attacks took place on the hydroelectric power station.

“HPP-2 took a direct hit,” he said.

“One rocket damaged the beams of the overhead crane and hit the supports.

“So HPP-2 is in critical condition and HPP-1 is also currently out of service.”

Russia bombs Kiev with 15,000 km/h ‘Dagger’ hypersonic missiles, hours before NATO chiefs visit

The Kh-101 is a series of conventional and nuclear-capable air-launched cruise missiles (ALCM) designed to defeat air defense systems.

The stealthy missile has been used by the Russians since 2012 and flies at low, terrain-hugging altitudes to avoid radar systems.

The Kh-101, unlike newer models, has a conventional warhead and has a range of 2,739 miles.

Russia has previously used them in attacks against ISIS goals inside Syria as a sequel to terrorist attacks in 2015.

However, the latest attack is just another attack in the two-year war with Ukraine.

But it comes on the same day Putin unleashed hell on the citizens using an arsenal of 150 devastating weapons designed to destroy warships and infrastructure.

88 missiles and 66 drones are believed to have been used in the overnight airstrike, which could have been Russia’s largest ever against Ukraine.

The brutal Putin used the full force of his deadly weapons to attack civilian infrastructure in multiple cities.

The Ukrainian president is reeling from the deadly overnight attack Volodymyr Zelensky said: “There were more than 60 of them [Iranian-made] ‘Shaheds’ and almost 90 missiles of different types in one night.

“The world sees the targets of Russian terrorists as clearly as possible: power plants and energy supply lines, a hydroelectric dam, ordinary residential buildings, even a trolleybus.”

The number of dead and injured was not immediately clear.

It came just hours after the tyrant crushed Kiev with “Dagger” hypersonic missiles at a speed of 15,000 km per hour just hours before NATO chefs would come to visit.

Russia is said to have fired 31 ballistic and cruise missiles before dawn on Thursday, in what would be the first attack on the Ukrainian capital in six weeks.
