Leaker Majin Bu (Via Gsmarena) has shared photos of what is probably an iPhone 17 Air Dummy unit is next to a iPhone 16 Plus. We say ‘probably’ because they just refer to it like an iPhone 17-air, so it can be a prototype instead, but it is more likely a non-functional dummy.
In any case, in these images it seems little more than half as thick as the 7.8 mm thick iPhone 16 Plus. It is probably a bit more than that, with Leaks that suggest that the iPhone 17 air is 5.65 mm thickBut it certainly seems extremely slim.

Camera treatments
But although the majority of the phone is very thin, the camera stops noticeable from above with one lenses. In fact, it seems that the bit with the lens can be as thick as that part of the iPhone 16 Plus – which means that at the thickest point the iPhone 17 air would not be much or slimmer than the current iPhones.
And because the rest of the body is so small, that camera culture is much more noticeable than on the iPhone 16 Plus, so that aspect of the design is demonstrably not ideal. Of course there is a chance that the design of the phone in these images is wrong, but it is a line with previous images.
Yet this problem is probably inevitable. Apple is reportedly Rest the iPhone 17 air with just one camera on the back To close the phone, but reducing the size of the lens and other camera components is probably not possible without a reduction in quality.
So the iPhone 17 air will probably be a very slender phone – as long as you ignore the thicker camera bar at the top.
