Theo Fages would be nothing more likely than to show the doubters of Catalans why they are there by going to Wembley again.

The Triumph Triumph of the Dragons 2018 was seen as the launch platform of the Club-based club at a new level of reaching the final would again place their top table.

But in the background, clubs wonder if they even have to be there, although they make a profit, have attracted several big names and have produced a number of young talents.

Now Fages hopes to give them the perfect answer by dumping Super League leaders Hull KR.

He said: “It is a shame that some teams and some clubs want us, but I am pretty sure that every club would like to go to Catalans and enjoy the journey away.

“Many see the negative side of France and it is difficult for the club. This year they have to financially support every travel club and have to pay to play in the cup.

“It is an extra challenge and many want us to fail, but if we are successful, then we are not really concerned about what people and other clubs think.

“Everyone likes to go there, there are sponsorship opportunities for the Super League. There are a lot of good things to take.

“We just love to be part of the Super League and to do everything we can to play well and play well. The club has done that for most of the 20 years that they have been to the Super League.”

While many doubt Catalans’ Involvement, today’s opponents have felt the benefit after signing their product Arthur Mourgue.

Fortunately before the side of Steve McNamara, he is tied up and the next of the conveyor belt, Guillermo Aispuro-Bichet, is another example of why they should stay.

Half back fages added: “It is good that Arthur cannot play, but Guillermo is a good child. He is only 19 and delivers one good performance after the other.

“He is still learning and he enjoys it. It’s good to see a young French child play well.

“It is a big one for us. Of course the club had success in 2018 and we just want to replicate that. We are a game away from the final, so we will be pumped for that.

“It is a semi -final, so the emotion will be there, but we have to perform just in the day and we will then see over Wembley, hopefully. Hull KR are well set up, so it’s a good challenge for us, but we are ready for it.

“We know it is easy to repair what we have done in Super League against Leigh. Just cut the mistakes and then we will be good.”
