A three-year-old boy has been killed in a tragic accident involving a vehicle.
The child was found in a critical condition at Rockhampton Showgrounds on Exhibition Road, in central Queensland, about 4.30pm on Tuesday.
Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics attempted to treat him at the scene but he could not be saved.
A woman in her 40s was taken to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition.
A QAS spokesperson said the woman did not appear to have sustained any injuries. She has now been fired.

The tragedy comes a week before the start of the Rockhampton Agricultural Show.
The circumstances of the child’s death are not clear.
