Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s daughter talk Ozempic use amid PCOS diagnosis

Set it straight. Grace McGraw slammed trolls who criticized her use of Ozempic – and explained how the drug helps her cope with her polycystic ovarian syndrome.

The musician, 25 — who is the eldest daughter of Tim McGraw And Faith Hill — took to social media last week to show off her bikini body in a series of black and white photos. “It’s a wonderful day for narcissism!” them jokingly captioned the carousel of images, in which she wore a high-waisted two-piece bathing suit and a pair of chic black sunglasses. (In addition to Gracie, the country legends – who tied the knot in 1996 – share daughters maggie24, and Audrey21.)

When a hater tried to call out that her slim figure was due to taking Ozempic — a type 2 diabetes drug traditionally meant to improve glycemic control — Gracie reminded the commenter that she had nothing to hide.

“I used Ozempic last year, yes,” she replied. “I am now taking a low dose of Mounjaro for my PCOS and for training. I don’t have to accuse if I’ve been open about it.”

Following her comments, fans quickly took to the comment section to show their support for the singer.

“PCOS sucks. Insulin resistance, weight gain, ovarian cysts and polyps, facial hair growth and other strange spots. Plus a lot of other problems. I’m super happy she got access to some great medicine to help! one person replied, while another wrote: “🔥❤️Killing it as usual!!! You are fierce, beautiful and awesome!!! Love you beauty!!!! Stay FIRE! 🔥❤️.”

The New York City native has been candid about her health and weight loss journey over the years, first sharing her PCOS diagnosis in March 2022. (The female reproductive disorder occurs when the ovaries produce an abnormal amount of androgens, male sex hormones usually present in small amounts in women, according to Johns Hopkins medicine.)

“Just wanted to share very quickly that I was recently diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome). To get the correct diagnosis you would need 2 of the 5 features of PCOS and I had 4,” she explained via Instagram in March 2022. “During my appointment with my endocrinologist, I realized this might be a factor in my weight issues, so we decided to try a drug to regulate my body more normally and create the tools to keep my body and myself healthy as I get older.”

Gracie — who shared that she was prescribed “Qysmia and Ozempic” at the time — added that taking the “right steps toward my mental health” allowed her to delve deeper into her physical issues.

“Sending love to those struggling with something similar or literally anything. Mental health is extremely hard!! It’s a long road, but we’ll get through it,” she continued. “I’m sharing my experience to hope my situation has reached someone who can empathize ❤️”

The Tennessee native concluded her post by revealing that the “medication I’m on has given me a body I haven’t had in years” and that she was “finding new ways to love herself every day.”

Ozempic has become a hot topic in Hollywood when it comes to weight loss. Dr. Thomas Sua plastic surgeon, only broke down the controversial drug Us weekly in March. The doctor explained that while drugs like Ozempic “not even FDA-approved for casual weight loss,” but may be a “long-term solution” for individuals with weight-related conditions.

“We know that for type 2 diabetics it will be a lifelong medication that they will take and for people who are heavier, it could also be a long-term solution,said the University of Texas Medical School alum. “If you have a comorbid condition such as high blood pressure, heart disease or high cholesterol – if you have another risk factor for heart disease, Wegovy is approved and intended for long-term use. Not just for a year, but for almost forever for management of that disease, just as high blood pressure medication will become a permanent part of your medication regimen.
