Tom Hardy will drive mums wild as he returns to CBeebies to read another bedtime story with his beloved French Bulldog Blue.

The Hollywood star, 46, has made several appearances on the children’s broadcaster over the years and caused quite a stir when he made his debut in 2016.

Tom returns to the screens on Friday evening to read The Oak Tree by Julia Donaldson and Victoria Sandøy as part of National Tree Week 2023.

The story focuses on a tree’s journey through its 1,000-year history, from seed to mighty oak.

Families across the UK can watch Tom Hardy’s new CBeebies Bedtime Stories on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer, and clips will also be available on the recently launched CBeebies TikTok page.

When Tom made his debut, women begged the actor to ‘tuck them in’ as CBeebies trended on Twitter.

Many viewers admitted that their children had already gone to bed or were too old for a bedtime story, but that didn’t stop them from enjoying the story of Batman villain Hardy.

Tom previously appeared on the show with his dog Woody, but sadly passed away in 2017 at the age of six.

The Hollywood star isn’t the only famous face to make a cameo on the channel

In October, Spice Girl’s Geri Horner made a guest appearance on the TV channel.

The Mi Chico Latino singer, 51, read Muon Thi Van’s I Love You Because I Love You in the show that took readers through all the big and small reasons why we love the people we hang out with.

Discussing the opportunity, Geri said: “I loved reading for CBeebies as I really enjoy telling children’s stories and sharing my love of reading.

This year also sees new CBeebies Bedtime Stories from Tom Fletcher, Guz Khan, Christine and The Queens, footballer Leah Williamson and the return of the ever-popular Tom Hardy.

Following a long line of musicians who have sat down to read a story on the famous children’s show, As It Was hitmaker Harry Styles starred in the show last year.

In 2018, Elton John told preschool viewers the story of The Dog Detectives: Lost In London.

Elton, who had recently retired from touring at the time, wrote: ‘Family is always very important to me, and this year no less, where they have supported me in the launch of my Farewell Tour and worked on the film Sherlock Gnomes.’
