Trolls criticize weird tattoo, urge customer to ‘sue tattoo shop’
PEOPLE are urging tattoo seekers to be careful about which parlours they go to after someone revealed his “bad looking” tattoos.
A tattoo is a permanent mark on the skin that is applied using ink dyes.
It is performed by a professionally trained tattoo artist using a needle machine.
This is then pricked into the skin thousands of times per minute, releasing tiny amounts of ink into the dermis.
The tattoo then remains on the skin for years, sometimes even a lifetime.
One person, who wishes to remain anonymous, found himself in a difficult situation after getting a “botched” tattoo.
The tattoo fan is confused after the artist made a strange symbolic drawing on his leg and trolls are calling it “horrible”.
On the calf are three semicircles drawn in black ink. Each circle depicts a symbol: a heart, a lightning bolt and an almond shape with a cross in it.
The person took over Reddit to express their concerns about the tattoo and ask others for advice on how to cover it up.
They shared a photo of the permanent ink and wrote: “It’s not straight. The circles are not even, please cover?”
The post received a lot of attention and more than sixty people responded in the comments to share their opinion.
A Reddit user was confused and wondered if people even realize how serious it is to get a tattoo.
They wrote: “Do you guys actually look at an artist’s work or do you just wander into the first store you can find in a mall looking for something permanently inked into your skin?”
The same Reddit user then explained, “It’s easier to draw a stencil on a flat surface than to stick a needle with ink into someone’s skin on a not-so-flat body part.
“That’s why a five-minute Google search for your artists is nonsense.
Sue them
“You have to go through an artist’s entire portfolio before making a choice.
“That stencil may look great, but the execution could turn out poorly if the artist has terrible tattooing technique.”
Another Reddit user warned, “Not all tattoo artists are actually very good at the ‘art’ part.
“When I see people sketch/draw circles, they usually make a few circular shapes first and erase the excess to make a perfect circle. But with a tattoo, you only get one shot.
“Moreover, the skin is a strange and difficult canvas that does not easily absorb ink.
“You have to apply the right amount of pressure. Too little and the ink won’t go in, too much and your canvas will wobble, making it even harder to draw straight lines.”
A third wrote: “If you did this in an actual store you should probably sue them lmao.
“Couldn’t they have used a damn stencil?
“How can they screw up something so simple, it’s literally JUST a fucking circle… I feel sorry for you, the basic idea was Nice If you are a big fan of this game, it really sucks that the creator of the game disrespected you.”
What to do and not to do when getting a tattoo
1. Think, think and think again
Tattoos that you get done on a whim are much more likely to lead to regret than a tattoo that you have thought long and hard about. Think about why you want what you have chosen. And if you still want it after a few months, get it.
2. Age restrictions apply
In the UK you must be 18 years old to get a tattoo.
3. Don’t negotiate the price
When you go to a tattoo shop, the price is the price. You pay for the time and skill of an artist, they charge what they think those things are worth.
4. Don’t get tattooed when you’re hungry
Eat before you go to your tattoo session and make sure you are hydrated. You are about to be subjected to a period of prolonged physical discomfort, if you are feeling a little weak from hunger or dehydrated it will not go as smoothly as it should.
5. Don’t drink alcohol before getting a tattoo
If you are drunk or on drugs, do not get a tattoo. In fact, if your tattoo artist has any of their stuff, they will turn you away if you are clearly under the influence of any intoxicants. I would also not drink the night before, even a few drinks will thin your blood and make you bleed more.
