But Bayern are now in danger of having a season without trophies for the first time in 22 years.

Thomas Tuchel's side lost the Supercup final at the start of the season and crashed out of the DFB-Pokal to third-tier minnows Saarbrucken in November.

Now a disastrous week has left their Bundesliga and Champions League hopes hanging by a thread.

They lost 3-0 to title rivals Bayer Leverkusen, Lazio then beat them 1-0 in the first leg in Europe and yesterday they were beaten 3-2 by Bochum.

The pressure on Tuchel is increasing as many call for him to be fired.

His post-match press conference in Bochum was cancelled, fueling speculation that Bayern decided to pull the trigger.

However, reports suggest that the club have no plans to sack the ex-Chelsea manager and that he will not resign.

It is believed that several senior Bayern players have fallen out with Tuchel and raged over the disappointing performances.

Joshua Kimmich was subbed off last night and as he left the field he got into an argument with assistant manager Zsolt Low.

Furthermore, Leon Goretzka called the current set of results “a never-ending horror movie.”

The match against Bayern Munich has been temporarily suspended and players are taken off the field while fans throw tennis balls onto the field

And there are rumors that Matthijs de Ligt is unhappy at Bayern due to his lack of playing time.

This comes a week after Thomas Müller launched a scathing attack on his teammates following the loss to Leverkusen, claiming they lack 'courage' and that it is 'not about the coach'.

But The Athletics report that Tuchel has “undermined” his players with his public criticism of them and that he has no connection with the team.

Although Bayern are ready to stick with the manager, they are believed to have already plotted a return for former boss Hansi Flick.

They are also interested in Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso.

The highly regarded Spanish boss looks to be the man to end Bayern's dominance in the Bundesliga, which has seen them win the title 11 times in a row.

Leverkusen is eight points clear at the top and has not lost a match yet this season.
