Upper Caboolture crash: Woman dead and young child is fighting for life after family car smashes into a tree
A woman has died and a young child is fighting for his life after a car left the road and crashed into a tree nearby Brisbane.
Emergency services were called to Caboolture River Road in Upper Caboolture, north of Brisbane, about 2.30pm on Friday.
There they found an overturned white family car that had crashed into a tree, shattering part of the front of the vehicle.

The female driver of the car was seriously injured in the accident and could not be saved.
A young child was rescued from the car and taken to hospital Queensland Children’s hospital in critical condition.
The police are investigating.
