An emergency recall has been issued for popular sauce sold in Australia at Coles, IGA and Woolworths due to allergy fears

A popular syrup sold in supermarkets across Australia has been recalled due to an undeclared milk allergen in the product.

Hershey’s Caramel Syrup 623g is sold in Coles and IGA in NSW and Queensland and is also available nationally in SPARS and Woolworths.

The batch of syrup bottles in question has an expiration date of 08 2025.

Consumers with a milk allergy have been warned not to consume the syrup.

Shoppers who purchased the syrup can return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.

“All consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice,” Food Standards Australia and New Zealand said.
