The parents of a seven -month -old baby claim that his health deteriorated and was malnourished after switching to a new vegetable baby formula that had labeled the wrong dose.

The Melbourne Family turned to Coco2 – An Australian company that claimed to be the world’s first coconut-based baby formula ‘ – After learning their little boy, lactose intolerant was to cows milk.

The parents claimed that their son started to show worrying symptoms a few weeks after he started the formula.

“He did not reach any of his milestones of seven months, he did not sit upright,” the father said 7News.

“He would look sick, he would get up, he would drink, he would go to sleep and then wake up again in half an hour because he is hungry and we would feed him again.”

By February the baby was listless, he lost and had ‘lost all his color’.

‘His lips started to crack. He was stretching around his nose and eyes and so we just went to the doctor and he introduced some blood tests, “said the father.

However, the tests did little to relieve the panic of the family and they went to the Royal Children’s Hospital in their desperate search for answers.

In the end they advised the family to try a new formula and the baby recovered quickly.

“One that we got from that formula, he almost improved the first day,” said the father.

‘It’s good with our child, he’s fine

“We don’t think there are long -term problems,”

A report from doctors in the Royal Children’s Hospital suggested that the baby’s disease was probably caused by the formula.

“The Coco formula that they previously consumed had made a mistake in their size size and did not provide enough food per feed – this is the likely cause for their considerable weight loss and malnutrition,” the report said.

Coco2 recently updated his serving recommendations after correcting the error in his creature.

“We contact an important update with regard to the Coco2 Baby Formula Batch that you bought,” an e -mail explained to customers.

“Due to natural variations in bulk density, we have discovered that the recorded scoop contains slightly less powder than normal.”

The company advised parents to add 50 percent more formula to their baby’s bottle.
