The Confessions hitmaker has cleared up rumors that he was the Crazy In Love hitmaker's 'manny' when he was put in charge of Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Kelly Rowland during their pre-Destiny's Child days as The Dolls.

Appears on Club Shay Shay this week he told host Shannon Sharpe that the girls were still teenagers at the time.

“Daryl Simmons, he had a group called The Dolls, and they came to Atlanta for the first time.

“This is before Destiny's Child became Destiny's Child. I think I watched it while they were doing it [were] do something at home.

“I had to guard because I looked like the, you know, authority, because I think I was the teenager at the time.”

He added: '[I was] to make sure they didn't have any problems in the house at that point.”

He admitted that even at such a young age, Beyonce had “a talent and also a brilliance and a brightness that was very different.”

He said: '[It’s] really great for my sister, to see that she has done so great and continues to blossom and only get bigger and better.

“Whether it's musically, or in her life or creativity, everything, man.”

The 45-year-old singer first opened up about meeting Beyonce, now 42, last year when they were both younger.

Despite being only three years older than her, he eventually became the group's “chaperone, babysitter or something like that.”

He told the British radio show 'Capital Breakfast': 'Fun fact, I knew Beyoncé when she was 12 years old, 11 years old.

'She used to be in a group called The Dolls. I don't know if I could consider myself their babysitter, but there was a time where I had to watch The Dolls.”

Usher is set to make a huge comeback with a new breakup song ahead of his ninth album.

The R&B star, who has been active in the music industry for more than thirty years, collaborated with rapper Pheelz for the single. The sun's Bizarre column.

Ruin, out Friday, finds the singer saying “good riddance” to an ex as it echoes the lyrical themes seen in some of his best-selling hits from the 1990s.

Usher's ninth studio album, Coming Home, which is expected to feature the song, will be released on February 9.

The publication states that he sings: 'Good riddance for the last time. Say you can try, and maybe next time it will work out.”

In the song, Usher continues, “Look, this is exactly what you did. You're ruining me for everyone.'

Ruin will be released just days before his comeback performance at the coveted Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show, taking place on February 11.

Already in promo mode ahead of the big game at Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders, the singer, songwriter and dancer teased fans about what they can expect and who will be joining him on the big stage as a VIP guest.

During an interview with Fashionwhich also included a photo shoot, the eight-time Grammy award-winning artist didn't go so far as to reveal any names, but he did reveal that any guests would be from the R&B genre.

“This night was specifically curated in my mind to get R&B on the main stage,” he said, before adding, “Not just R&B music, but R&B performances, R&B connection, R&B spirit.”

With that in mind, he almost said he would bring in a big R&B name, who could be a huge star of old or more recent times.

Having recently wrapped up his Las Vegas Residency and with a new studio album on the way, it seems fitting that the Can U Get Wit It star will headline the first-ever Super Bowl to be held in Sin City.

In the wake of the news that he had become the headliner, Usher revealed that he had dreamed of playing in the Super Bowl for most of his life.

Now in promo mode, he now gives a little glimpse into his state of mind, in terms of the goals he has set for his 13-minute show that he has been dreaming about since he was a kid.

“I've been doing this for 30 years,” Usher mused as he teased the show. “I want people who have been part of that journey to feel like it's a celebration for everyone, for all of us, from the beginning until now.”

He added: “I literally speak to every woman. I want it to feel that way.”

In addition to performing parts of his hits, Usher is also expected to show off his acclaimed dancing skills.

Fans should also be prepared for at least two costumes and some roller skating, which also came into play during his recent Las Vegas residency.

Now 45 and having been in the business for 30 years, the hitmaker has even hinted at his eventual retirement as a singer.

“I love it, don't get me wrong,” Usher said of his time on stage and on tour, “but man. S**t. I don't look forward to living sixty years there.'

Being 45, this statement translates to less than 15 years of stage performance for the Dallas, Texas native, if he indeed lives up to his statement.
