An optical illusion shared by Venmo sends followers into a tailspin as they try to read the hidden message. Can you decipher the code without any help?
Just in time for Valentine's Day, the widely used mobile payment service shared a photo of a pair of heart-shaped sunglasses with words written on them.
The illusion image is difficult to read at first, asking viewers to think outside the box to solve it.
'We have a message that will make you blush' Venmo wrote in the caption.
At first glance, the image looks like a QR code, but if you use your phone's camera you won't be able to figure it out.
However, your phone can come in handy when you're in trouble.
The lens of the sunglasses has a hidden message in blue letters, but it is difficult to see due to the pink design.
If you can read it without any help, you may have sharper eyes than most people.
But if you're still struggling, Venmo has provided a hint.
“Take a screenshot of this message and use the pink highlighter to see what it says,” read the rest of the caption.
By taking a screenshot of the image, you can find it in the photo app on your phone.
After this, you can tap to edit the image and then choose to draw on it with the highlighter tool.
By using a dark pink marker and drawing on the hearts you can reveal the hidden message.
“You are my Venmo crush.”
The post then asks viewers to tag their “Venmo crush” after solving the riddle.
Many people admitted that the illusion upset them quite a bit.
“For a second I thought I was color blind,” said one commenter.
“Yes, I am colorblind,” said another commenter.
