Vistara flights from Ahmedabad, Mumbai diverted due to poor visibility and weather at Delhi IGI Airport

New Delhi: Two Vistara flights from Ahmedabad (UK906) and Mumbai (UK954) to Delhi have been diverted due to bad weather and poor visibility at Delhi airport, Vistara Airlines said. “Flight UK954 from Mumbai to Delhi (BOM-DEL) was diverted to Jaipur (JAI) due to bad weather at Delhi Airport and arrived at Jaipur (JAI) at 8.42am.

“Flight UK906 from Ahmedabad to Delhi (AMD-DEL) has been diverted to Ahmedabad (AMD) due to poor visibility at Delhi Airport and is expected to arrive at Ahmedabad (AMD) at 10am. Stay tuned for further updates.”

Meanwhile, the city’s air quality remained “very poor” on Saturday and several areas suffered from “severe” AQI. According to weather analysts, the AQI will fluctuate between “very poor” and “severe” during the day for the foreseeable future due to weather conditions.

The weather department has forecast fog and haze for the entire week with a marginal decline in maximum and minimum temperatures, making the days gloomy and dull.

The air quality index on a scale of 0 to 500 was 378 at noon and 374 at 4 p.m., a marginal improvement from Thursday evening when air quality had become severe. The average AQI on Friday was 372 compared to 398 a day earlier.
