Abbie Chatfield may be the new host of Binge’s FBoy Island.

But now former Bachelorette star Angie Kent has revealed that she once auditioned for the show before Abbie landed the gig.

Speaking of her Two girls one pod podcast, Angie, 33, said she feels Abbie, 27, is a good fit for the show as she’s “too old to be surrounded by assholes” now in her 30s.

Angie also said she would be a little “triggered” on the show after her time on The Bachelorette in 2019.

“I was asked to audition for FBoy Island and Abbie got it, but looking at it now I don’t think I would have been a good presenter,” said Angie.

“If I was around so many men, trying to clear their third eye chakras, get my sage out, give them free and unwanted therapy, I wouldn’t have been a vibe.”

Her co-host Yvie Jones added: ‘It might have triggered you out of the 20 dudes you’ve had so far [on The Bachelorette],’ Angie agreed.

She added, “I’m too old too, 1930s Angie is in her healing girl age, she’s too old to be surrounded by 24 f**kwits, sorry to say it!”

Angie rose to fame alongside Yvie on Gogglebox before finding love with ex Carlin Sterritt on The Bachelorette in 2019.

Angie divorced her ex Carlin in 2020 after eight months of dating.

The actor and model later explained on The Secret Weapon podcast that they broke up because they moved emotionally in different places.

Angie previously claimed that Carlin had wanted her to look “like a Barbie doll,” even saying he refused to adopt an “ugly dog” because it wasn’t “aesthetically pleasing.”

“I’m going to attract people I don’t really like because I don’t like being 100 pounds and drinking too much and looking like a doll all the time,” she said on her Nova podcast.

Abbie was in the host chair for the new 10-part series that will follow three ladies as they try to find love out of 24 suitors.

However, the twist is that half of the men are time wasting ‘f**k boys’ and the other half are genuinely looking for love.

Among those looking for love are DJ Sophie Blackley, occupational therapist Molly O’Halloran and model Ziara Rae.

In April, Abbie’s show was criticized for lacking “body diversity” after the female cast members were announced.

Abbie, who is known for her progressive views and opposition to “diet culture,” praised the “incredible women” who took part in the Binge series — Ziara, Sophie and Molly — in a post she shared with her 450,000 Instagram followers.

But some of her fans noted that there was no size difference between the three women, saying it was “so sad” to see a total absence of “plus-size” talent.

“No body diversity…so sad, honey,” one person commented.

Abbie, a former Bachelor contestant, quickly responded by saying she agrees there should be better representation on the matchmaking show.

“Unfortunately I have no control over the casting in any way, but your comment shows the producers of all shows that audiences want a diversity of bodies, so I appreciate the comment,” she wrote.
