A truck carrying a railway coach crashed near Bhagalpur railway station in Bihar on Saturday, leading to massive traffic jams in the area.

Bihar News: Days after an aircraft fuselage got stuck under a bridge in Bihar, a similar incident took place in the state’s Bhagalpur district on Sunday when a truck carrying a railway carriage met with an accident, causing massive traffic disruption in the area.

Officials said the accident took place near Lohiya Bridge, close to Bhagalpur railway station, from where the train coach was being transported.

“The incident took place when the truck carrying the bus lost control and hit one of the railings of Lohiya Bridge,” police said, adding that no injuries were reported in the incident.

“A restaurant will be opened in the railway complex near the station. The agency responsible for opening the eatery was busy moving the bus. Essentially it was a traffic accident.”
Vikas Choubey, DRM (Malda Division), told reporters.

The incident attracted a large crowd of curious onlookers, resulting in significant traffic congestion on nearby roads. With the help of local police and railway officials, the traffic jam was eventually resolved, police said.

Plane stuck under bridge

On Friday, a scrapped aircraft being transported from Lucknow to Assam in a truck got stuck under the Piprakothi Bridge at Motihari in East Champaran.

According to reports, the aircraft, an Air India Airbus A320, was being transported by road from Assam to Mumbai when its fuselage got stuck under Piprakothi Bridge in Motihari, bringing traffic to a standstill on the busy road.

Footage of the incident shared on social media platforms showed the plane stuck under the bridge and later freed with the help of locals and some truck drivers.

According to reports, the plane was transported on the trailer of a truck, but it failed to pass under the low bridge and became stuck. When locals heard about the strange incident, they flocked to the area and started clicking selfies even as police and other authorities arrived at the spot in an attempt to dislodge the plane under the Piprakothi Bridge.

In an attempt to free the aircraft, the trailer’s tires deflated and the aircraft was freed from under the bridge.
