You can then see the actor pulling her up, preventing her from committing suicide.

Manjot was a fourth-year BTech student at the varsity at the time.

Recounting the incident, Manjot narrated how he persuaded the girl to jump from the building when she threatened to jump if anyone came near her.

“I started a conversation and asked if she was experiencing any problems or if there was a disagreement. She talked about a disagreement with her mother. I carefully moved closer to her. But as soon as I came closer, she jumped,” Manjot had told Hindustan Times in an interview.

After his brave rescue of the girl, the Sikh community in Delhi congratulated Manjot and also promised payment for tutoring his civil service exams.

Manjot Singh recently shot to fame with Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal’. He plays one of Ranbir’s cousins in the film.

Animal – director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s third film after ‘Arjun Reddy’ and ‘Kabir Singh’, has broken box-office records after its theatrical release, leaving fans in awe of its unbridled presentation of violence and adult-oriented themes, perhaps never seen before in a Hindi film.

The film, which features an ensemble cast of Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri and Anil Kapoor, was released on December 1 last year.
