Damp and mold can also damage the immune system.

To put an end to it without using an elbow grease, homeowners have found the perfect buy.

Currently on sale for £12 in Dunelm, the UniBond AERO 360 Moisture Absorber is a top buy for banishing condensation in damp rooms and windows.

“Prevents clothes from smelling musty” and “removes moisture” say customers who gave the product a 4.7-star rating.

And the best thing about this smart device is that it does not require electricity to work.

Instead, it uses a clever design to keep the air flowing and the Crystals inwards to collect excess moisture from the air.

You can also buy refillable containers for the dehumidifier instead of buying a new one every time it runs out – and the smart gadget even tells you when it’s time for a replacement.

Homeowners can buy refills in packs of four from Amazon, priced from £11.50 for unscented or £11 for lavender scented on Amazon.

What is condensation?

Condensation occurs when water collects as droplets on a cold surface when moist air comes into contact with it.

The excess moisture in itself is not harmful, but it can turn into mold.

Mold grows by producing small particles called spores. These float in the air and can grow quickly and leave stains on your tiles and caulk.

One person wrote: “Absolutely amazing, it really does the job. So Nice There is no water running over the windowsills etc. I want to buy more.”
