Jonathan Tucker’s heroic rescue of family during home invasion is caught on Ring security camera

A dramatic video has emerged showing actor Jonathan Tucker coming to the rescue of a family whose home was targeted by an intruder.

Camera images were obtained in Ring by CBS Newsthe Westworld alum, 42, can be seen rushing into a neighbor’s house barefoot after an intruder entered the Hancock Park property.

It was previously reported that Tucker called 911 after seeing a person in his neighborhood talking to himself and banging on doors. That man then allegedly entered a neighbor’s home, prompting Tucker to take action.

Tucker was captured on video assisting the family, carrying their daughter outside and expressing his appreciation to Los Angeles police after they apprehended the man.

In the video, the man appeared to be talking to himself as he approached the front door before entering the home. Tucker then rushed inside before carrying their child outside.

At the time, a mother and three young girls were inside when the person entered.

“She saw him and said, ‘What are you doing here?'” the anonymous homeowner told CBS News. ‘He didn’t answer, just kept walking towards her and then she just shouted for my children to get out.’

The alleged intruder had knocked on other doors earlier that day, CBS reported. A neighbor informed the homeowner of the intruder via text message.

The man had just entered the home when the homeowner arrived. He then ran inside to pick up his baby amid the chaos.

A second neighbor was also seen rushing to help.

Authorities arrived and found the intruder in the closet of the home. A brief standoff ensued before he was arrested.

After authorities came out with the person, Tucker could be heard yelling at authorities, “Thank you LAPD, we really appreciate you!”

The homeowner praised Tucker, calling him “block security.”

‘He’s patrolling. He makes sure everything is under control. I think he followed him for a while, an hour or an hour and a half. He had called the police earlier,” he said.

A second neighbor rushed to help

The intruder’s targets assume the man was unstable. The victims also operate a mental health facility and have offered him a place to stay at their center.

On Monday, TMZ reported that the man had been taken into custody and placed in a 5150 detention facility.

Reps for the actor told TMZ that he helped his neighbors because he knew he would have wanted someone to do the same for his own family. The actor also reportedly called the police the real heroes in the situation.

Tucker told me earlier Los Angeles Magazine about the incident: “If you want a citation, call the LAPD because those guys are the real heroes. They put their lives on the line multiple times a day, every day.”

After authorities came out with the person, Tucker could be heard yelling at authorities, “Thank you LAPD, we really appreciate you!”

‘They responded within minutes, while I was still on the phone with an emergency operator. It was an extraordinary response,” he added.

An accomplished actor, Tucker’s impressive resume includes roles in Westworld, The Mantawauk Caves, Snowfall and the 2019 film Charlie’s Angels.

Tucker has been married to producer Tara Ahamed Tucker since 2012, and in 2019 they welcomed fraternal twins Hayes Taj Tucker and India Moss Tucker.

Jonathan announced the happy news Entertainment tonight at that moment and gushed, “We can’t believe our luck.”
