Em and Dex meet for the first time at the 300-year-old Old College of the University of Edinburgh during their graduation party.

After spending a night at Emma's flat in Rankeillor Street and a day walking around the city's dormant volcano, Arthur's Seat, a nervous Dexter sprints up the Vennel Steps to find Emma and get her number.

According to Netflix's Behind the Scenes Tudum On location, the One Day production team walked all the way to the top of Arthur's Seat in Holyrood Park in Edinburgh to film scenes.

Hatfield House, Hertfordshire

Hatfield House is located in Hertfordshire, England, and also features in the series.

Lead director Molly Manners knew that One Day's Rome in episode 2 had to feel colorful and vibrant and contrast with Emma's lackluster drama experience in Wolverhampton.

He said: 'We wanted to get a real sense of place and scale, but in no way be obvious or clichéd in terms of the places we went to.'

Paros island, Greece

In Episode 4, Emma and Dexter go on a drama-filled vacation to Paros, where they made the decision to cancel their island-hopping plans around Greece and stay on the island.

Emma's plans to keep things platonic are put to the test when the hotel assumes they are a couple and gives them a room with a double bed.
