Woman, 5 children charred after hut catches fire in UP’s Kushinagar | Video

The incident happened late Wednesday evening when Sangita and her five children went to sleep in the house without properly extinguishing the fire in the ‘chulha’.

Kushinagar: Six people from one family, including five children, were killed when their cabin caught fire. The incident is reported in Urdaha village in Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh. The sparks landed on the clothing and the flames soon engulfed the entire house, leaving no escape route. Her husband Navmi was sleeping outside.

The deceased Sangita was 38 years old and her children were between 10 and one year old. The bodies have been taken to the police, a police spokesperson said.
