If you fancy staying somewhere that looks like a spaceship, without the inconvenience of traveling through space, then this quirky hotel is for you.

At Copenhagen’s CityHub – a cross between a hostel and a hotel – guests sleep in Tetris-style L-shaped pods.

At first glance they look claustrophobic, but they are in fact surprisingly spacious, with enough room inside for two adults and luggage.

Moreover, they are warm and, despite their compact size, almost eerily quiet.

Inside, a comfy king-size bed, two shelves, charging ports, a Bluetooth speaker, plenty of room to stand – and a distorted mirror – await.

Upon arrival, guests use a self-service check-in system and receive a wristband as a key.

But solo travelers hoping to meet like-minded individuals should know that social activities are non-existent and others keep to themselves in common areas.

With over 8,800 reviews on Booking.com and an average score of nine out of ten, it’s easy to see why CityHub is a popular choice among travelers.

But is it worth paying £219 a night – and is there really enough room for two people?

However, CityHub is a memorably quirky experience, with fantastic service from friendly staff and a convenient location just 0.8 miles from Tivoli Gardens and within walking distance of lively bars and restaurants. So all in all I’d say the price represents good value.
